A & O Tire

Just had a flat tire fixed at A&O and the experience couldn’t have been better. They had me in and out in less than 10 minutes and I didn’t even have to get out of my car. This is my second time using their service and both times they have been helpful, friendly, and fast!

I got ripped off here. I came in with two brand new tires and paid them to mount and balance them. They don’t take credit cards so I was directed to go to the atm. When I got back 7 minutes later he was finishing up. I knew something was not right, it takes much longer to balance tires. Little to my surprise my vehicle was shaking at highway speeds. I had to go somewhere else to pay for them to balance my tires. Shame!!!

Woww this tire shop, my tire was leaking air for a long time. So I got there and waited a little bit, anyways long story short, they put my tire in a sink full of water and couldnt find the leak and then he put the tire on a table and put soap all around my tire using a bucket full of soap and a paint brush. Finally! He showed me the bubbles foaming up slowly. They found the leak it was my valve sensor ($ 75 at dealer) so im thinking ohh no but he said no dont worry I’ll take it apart and put a new rubber washer and lubricate it with oil then put it back, 20 bucks later plus $ 5 tip in 30 – 40 mins im a happy camper. He also told me come back before it snows for my back 2 tires, which I know are bald. Small place but alotta tires and cash only he said and service is done in the back of the shop, thanks guys!

Over the years I have had several nails in my tires, a consequence of driving on Chicago streets. Since A&O was close to work I have stopped in and have been a customer at least 4 times. Once I took a tire from a van of a gal at work and they matched it brand for brand, an exact replacement.
I came out from shopping at a grocery Saturday night only to find yet another huge nail through the corner of a fairly new Continental tire. After getting the spare in place I had to go on Sunday to get the original tire repaired. Alas it was totaled. I don’t know if I was working with A or O but he opened promptly at 10 am as stated and got right to work, I got a Michelin replacement «better than that one» for under $ 50 mounted and ready to go in 10 minutes. Can’t say enough good about this shop. I made a special trip from Lakeview up to Peterson and Western, turn left, and they are right on the north side of the street, about 1 ½ blocks west. Parking in the alley behind for service. Give A&O your business and you won’t be disappointed.

This shop is Awesome! They were Super fast, and friendly n it was a reasonable price. Couldn’t ask for more! I’m so happy to be back on the road.

Don’t believe all the hype, i called looking for some info as I’m trying to buy new tires for my car and all i got was a phone full of attitude. Sorry buddy that i didn’t have all the exact info, im no mechanic nor do i pretend to be one, im just a customer trying to get help and I’ll find it else where, thanks for nothing!

This place continues to carry the torch high! Chris somehow got hurt & wasn’t there. However his father (really kewl guy) & his helper (don’t know how to describe him except to say a cute mound of fur with an accent).
They sold me four very good Continentals for $ 200, virtually new. I’ve bought great tires from this place in the last two years. Prices are really great. They do the work diligently but also quick, fast & in a hurry!!. With 4 tires & balancing, work done in 20 minutes. Maybe would have been sooner but that blasted snow/​cold came a swooshin through.

I had a flat tire and took the car to Goodyear or firestone like most peeps would do. They said I need a new tire and a new rim (as per them my rim was bent and cannot be used anymore) which would cost about 400 bucks and a couple days to order the rim. I passed on that deal and just took my ‘bent and cannot be fixed rim’ to A&O. The A&O guy walked out saw my rim took it inside and walked out with an almost new tire installed on it ready to go! Took a total of 10 mins (faster than it takes me to make a basic grilled cheese) and 50 bucks. Damn these guys are good! Just remember to pull in the back and keep some cash! Super good and super fast!

Great place. I brought four different cars here and got really good prices on all of it. Cash only place, the owner very honest. He will show you the tires that you would want and find the best price for you. Just pull your car to the back. Let them know what you want done. They get straight to the point and change it out real quick. Real good place if you want used tires.

Fast in an understatement. I saw that man perform tire magic. I told him exactly what I needed and its a pleasure to not have someone try to sell you after you know what you need.
Very professional and been in the business for 25 years. Extremely budget friendly.
As far as location, be careful on Peterson. Its so easy to pass it because it’s not your average tire place. it’s in a «strip mall style» complex.
Definitely going back any time I need tires. Recommend highly. Dont go anywhere else.

Great group of guys there. They are fast & cheap for the service they offer. They even give you great recommendations for the future. They have all types of new and used tires. First time there but it definitely won’t be my last. Bring cash and pull up in the back, they will take a look at it. Definitely recommend.

Hard to see the sign. Cuz it’s covered by tree in summer. Workers are very nice & friendly.polite. This place is very cheap. Well def cheaper than places in lincolnwood & skokie area. $ 15 to change a tires. Must have cash before u go this place. Cash only. Def coming here next time I change my tires.

Quick, cheap and easy service. I was in and out in no time. Good place to go for a quick patch or a used tire if you don’t have the money for a brand new one. It is cash only, don’t go in there unprepared!

These guys were absolutely fantastic. My rim was bent and my tire was totally flat, but they fixed it in just a few minutes. They prices are super reasonable too. Like, unbelievably so.
I’m definitely going to come here when I need tires. A few minor tips that I had somehow overlooked: park in the alley and bring cash!

I had found a screw in my tire and Unilocaled «used tires» «West Rogers Park». This was not only the first listing, but the reviews were great. I pulled into the alley and met Chris right away. He had me show him the screw and said, «We’ll have it fixes in a minute.» I had barely paid him (only $ 10) and his employee has patched me up. Seriously… within a minute.
Great service, open on SUNDAY, and Chris told me if there is a problem with 7 days I can come back.

All I can say is one word… awesome.
Now heres a few more… I been here… this would make it my fifth time… and I think my friend Sam who brought this place to my attention. When I need something or ask a question… always an answer.
The store inside is chocl full of tires (very narrow bu if you want a tire question anssered… I dig this man.

I can’t say enough about the customer service at A&O Tires. I needed tires for my VW and Chris was all sorts of helpful! When he told me how much for 4 tires (pre-​owned in excellent condition) I was like «that’s for 1 tire, right?» NOOOOO, that’s for all 4. OMG, I was so excited, I scared the poor guy.
Bottom line: AMAZING prices!!! GREAT service and HONEST people!!!
