Illegally towed my car 3 months ago. Charged me $ 170

These people are CROOKS. Our car was towed from a self pay lot, with the valid sticker in the windshield. They stole the ticket and told us the sticker was from a different self pay lot, which it wasnt. They damaged Lt bumper towing car. $ 175 to get it out of hock, no negotations. Interesting note; all the cars in the company’s lot were from out of state so it’s easier to get rid of customer and complaint.

They are thieves and crooks.
They towed my car, did not notify the police it was in their possession 24 hours after the fact when I reported it missing.
Almost two months later the owners of the vehicle are FINALLY notified that it is in a-1’s possession, and that over $ 1000 of fees are due.
When I came to retrieve the vehicle, items had been stolen from the back seat.
If your vehicle has been towed in the Pilsen, Little Village area, call this company relentlessly to see if they have your vehicle because the police will not be notified. I had to learn a very hard lesson, and I hope no one has to go through with such pain and frustration.

After reading these reviews I was terrified to hear my car got towed by these guys. I have to say though, that my experience was completely different.
I called in advance to confirm they had my car, they confirmed very quickly and pleasantly, told me their policies, and I headed out there. When I got there the lady in the trailer (office) was also very pleasant, processed everything quickly, and I was out of there with my car in basically no time at all. Looking over the car there was no damage, not a scratch. I was expecting the process to be a bit of a hassle, but it really couldn’t have gone any smoother. From my view though, just be nice to them. Sure, you may be upset because your car got towed, but don’t take that out on the people you deal with.

If I could give them zero stars I would. Absolute piece of $#!t company. These people are the scum of the earth. When I went to pick up my car they pretended like it wasn’t there just so I would leave and have to pay more of their absolutely ridiculous «holding fees». The trailer park trash lady that I dealt with even closed her window pretending like she was doing some work to get my paperwork ready. She had done nothing except sat there in her trailer park perch (I assume to smoke her Marlboro) letting me sweat the insane cost to release my car. Any company/​organization that uses this corrupt towing service goes right along in the same category.

Complaint Description:
Illegally towed vehicle. Payment and display of receipt was valid. Vehicle that was towed was a mint condition vintage SAAB — one of a few left in the country. Stick shift cars with parking break engaged requires legal equipment for towing (except it was ILLEGALLY towed). Use of improper equipment fully gutted transmission as stick shifts are left in gear. Car was parked next to a wall and very close to another car — to get mine out it was scraped against the wall. I have photos of the vehicle both before and after. So besides improperly towing a paying customer — they chose to do damage to the car. When I phoned they asked why the receipt was not in the car. Missing from the car were the following items: tow jack, tool box, spare tire, vehicle registration, IPASS (ripped from windshield), radio cables. The front end bumber is smashed, running lights smashed and both front headlights cracked and grill broken. And to boot — 200.00 to get it out. I have witnesses. The car I parked directly next to was my mother, my sister was parked next to her. I was attending the funeral of a close relative. We all paid and did the same thing. My car looking flashy and nice must have been a fun target. They destroyed it.
Your Desired Resolution:
Replacement of all damaged parts: Front bumper, Headlamps, Grill, Grill housing, Running lights, Lower front bumper. Repaint hood. Repair scratches on side of car. Replace all stolen items. Refund for the tow. I can supply documentation for each and every part on the car. It was a recent full restoration done at SAABTECH. It included a full paint job and recent replacement of every part mentioned above. So I can guarantee it as SPOTLESS and would be described as a collectors car. They estimate 4,200.00 to retore to condition when I parked it. 200.00 towing fee. total: 4200.00
