#53 Pulaski Bus

The bus is always full and late never on time the drivers are so rude and mad. Some drivers will drive slow and be stepping on the break pedal. Bus driver that drives bus #1440 it so damn rude.

I live in West Humboldt Park (near North Ave, three blocks east of Pulaski), and finally figured out that taking this bus south to the Green Line to get to the Loop is far superior to taking the #72 North Avenue bus to the Blue Line. Traffic on Pulaski is a lot lighter than that on North Ave (especially North Avenue east of Western — you could walk faster than the bus can travel), and the Green Line is FAR less crowded than the Blue Line, in general.
Fairly major downfalls: lots of really obnoxious high school kids during the school year, replete with 15 year-​olds rolling strollers. Charming. That said, the #72 isn’t a whole lot better (Clemente kids). You probably don’t want to do this route at night south of North Ave, unless you’re packin’ heat.
If you live on the West side, this is an excellent route to get to O’Hare (take it to the Irving Park blue line, then to the airport); it runs 24 hours between 31^st and Irving Park ONLY (I found that out the hard way, waiting for it a little north after being out waay too late).
