3-​Switch produces their own product line of glassware and home items.

All glass made by 3-​Switch is handblown.

3-​Switch offers custom work in glass and wood as well as custom prototyping.

Glassblowing classes are available through 3-​Switch and are instructed by the business owners.

3-​Switch has a full wood shop which includes a CNC Mill, laser cutter and 3-​Printer.

History

Established in 2012.

3-​Switch was established by Patrick Fitzpatrick and Brent Rogers. They created the company with three goals in mind: to design and produce their own product, support other builders and designers by assisting them with prototypes, and create a space where they can teach people how to make their own products. In 2013 Alex Zimmerman joined the 3-​Switch team. The company designed and produces a line of wine glasses and decanters, Swoon-​Glassware as well as a number of other glass and wood related products.

Mary and Sue here to journal our adventure for today. We attended the Rengrade Art and Craft show. We are glad we when and met up with 3 — Switch artist. Awesome idea and craftsmanship. Their salesmanship is refreshing and honest. The prices are fair. We purchased gifts wedding and Christmas. We can’t wait till after Christmas to use our Christmas gift money to purchase a fe w sets for ourselves.
A must have item for wine enthusiasts!

Patrick their designer and prototype engineer came through for me when I was in need of a last minute house warming gift. Our schedules were not meshing but he was both patient and flexible enough to meet up with me on a last minutes notice, after the studio had closed up shop. The Optic Twist glass set with stand and wood box was a HUGE hit at the party! Thanks again, Patrick!

Bought the revolving wine glasses + stand at Renegade art fair. Gave to my mom tonight as bday present and she absolutely loved them. She immediately opened some of her best wine to try them out in! And also immediately decided she needed 2 more. :)
Chatted with Alex for a bit who was also awesome! Seems like the guys at 3-​switch have an impressive array of products (as well as taste in music: D). Would definitely buy again.

The revolving glasses and decanters are so beautiful and functional! I’ve bought multiple sets of glasses with the personalized etching as wedding gifts and they have been a big hit. Reliable in delivery and easy to communicate with about engraving etc. Amazing that everything is handmade and designed by this local Chicago group!

I came across 3-​Switch at a local street festival and loved all of their glassware. One of my best friends is getting married and it’s the perfect gift for her and her fiancé. The prices are extremely reasonable for such unique glassware and the owners are super friendly and helpful. I would suggest 3-​Switch to anyone looking for a unique gift for a good price!

We recently bought the Revolving Rocks glass set from Chicago’s Renegade art fair, and we already love them! SO unique and fun to drink out of. We’ve gotten compliments from multiple friends — some of which ended up buying glass sets for wedding gifts. Beautiful Work!
