David, Rocky and team were so nice to work with. They built a lovely horizontal fence for our front yard and even fixed my neighbor’s adjoining door (even though they didn’t have to as it was somewhat broken prior). Overall — very professional and easy to work with. They began and finished the job on time and on budget. We will be looking to them again soon for future projects

So David and Rocky just finished the job, and wow. I am absolutely blown away by their work and professionalism. They had constant contact and knew exactly what we wanted. David said he is not a designer, but our new accent wall says different. I will definitely be calling them again in the future.

These guys are great — responsive, friendly, knowledgeable and skilled. We had them install a new backyard fence after our old cedar one rotted through. From the beginning of the project, when we asked them to bid, to the clean up at the end, David and Rocky were a pleasure to deal with. They gave us a bunch of options and we went with a high-​end vinyl fence (life time warranty including labor!). The installation was tricky (lots of hidden, buried concrete) but the guys did terrific work, coming early and staying late to finish on schedule. They take real pride in doing good work and you can tell from the results; the fence looks fabulous. I could not recommend them more highly.

We can’t say enough good things about our experience. After trying and failing to find a contractor via recommendations from friends and family, we contacted David because of all the great Unilocal reviews. We’re so glad we did – David and Rocky were incredibly easy to work with, providing the kind of reliability and honesty and communication and friendliness that can seem so hard to come by in this field. We love how our remodel turned out, and much of that comes from finding great people who do great work.

We hired 2^nd City Craftsmen and Construction to remodel our home. New hardwood floors, Kitchen Backsplash, Framing out Closet Doors and more!
In the pre-​planning stage, David was able to walk us through each step of the remodeling process. He explained a reasonable timeline for the upgrades we desired. He helped us gain a good and realistic perspective on how construction would go and how it would make the final product perfect. He took our thoughts and suggestions into consideration, as well. I really felt that he listened to our requests and concerns.
Construction was construction. David worked diligently throughout the entire process and made sure things were done correctly. He did not skip corners. Even when problems or hiccups occurred, David was extremely professional in problem-​solving and making sure the task was finished well.
Our home looks great. We love our new hardwood floors and I would highly recommend 2^nd City! They are honest, hardworking, professional men who do a fantastic job.

We recently had our bathroom renovated and used 2^nd City Craftsmen and Construction. We talked with a few contractors before ultimately contracting with Dave. Dave was enthusiastic about our project, knowledgeable, respectful of our ideas & gave his expertise without being egocentric.
As first time homeowner’s (and this being our first renovation), we didn’t know what to expect. Dave explained the process a head of time and put our worries to rest. He pointed out things we didn’t notice or knew we could do. We tried to update the bathroom but still keep it more in line with the early 1900’s/vintage style, when it was originally built. We picked out all the materials and Dave supplied the labor and necessary rough materials.
It proved to be too costly and difficult to install a traditional ventilation system with ductwork through the exterior brick wall, so Dave recommend we install an oscillating fan to help circulate the air and dry the tile after showering. It works great!
One of my favorite things is that the tile now goes all the way to the ceiling. Also, it’s tiled around the window and the window sill — which is a great place for shampoos and soap. It was a wooden window frame/​trim before — which got wet when showering. So, we actually had two shower curtains — made it feel very claustrophobic.
He was also able to save a few of the old shower tiles to patch a few cracked floor pieces (it’s the same tile). This was another way he was able to save us some money. Another contractor would have had us remove & replace the entire floor!
Dave started the project while we were out of town on vacation. I had no reservations of letting him work while we were away and also while we were at work.
He was supposed to finish on a Saturday, but some things took a little longer than anticipated. He was nice enough to come back the next day (Sunday) for a few hours to make sure it was fully functional for us. We didn’t have a bathroom door, which made things around the house a little awkward considering it’s our only bathroom! haha. I can’t believe he worked on Sunday — we were very grateful he did.
We’re very happy with the results and recommend Dave and 2^nd City to friends and family. Thanks Dave!

My bathroom was in serious need of a remodel, so I called 2^nd City, and David was able to give me a very fair quote. He was also extremely helpful with suggestions in regards to the vintage look I was going for. It turned out that the plumbing in my bathroom was a bit tricky, to say the least, and we had quite a few hiccups with it. With that being said, David and Rocky made sure everything was done and done correctly. They were extremely professional, prompt, and very careful in my home. I was able to completely trust them when I was away work. I highly, highly recommend using them for your project!!! I added a before and after picture of my bathroom in the photos. My wife is in her third trimester pregnant with triplets so needless to say we have a lot of work to do around the house and little free time to do it ourselves. We hired 2^nd City Craftsmen and Construction to do several tasks around the house (mount a flat screen TV, fix a shower door, hang some things in the nursery, fix the front door). Not only did David do a great job with all of these things he also coaxed a smile out of my 4 month old niece in between tasks. It’s great to have this kind of service when someone is in your home doing work. I would highly recommend hiring 2^nd City Craftsmen and Construction for home and construction tasks. Timely, friendly, and professional service.

I hired David from 2^nd City to basically rebuild my porch. He did an awesome job. Replaced the railing and steps, matched some rotted floor boards and replaced them, and then sanded and painted everything. Couldn’t be happier. Since they did such an awesome job, I hired them to gut an upstairs bedroom and convert it into a nursery and laundry room. The job included demolition, electrical, plumbing, drywall, and finish work (carpet was installed by a subcontractor). Work was done in a timely manner, and I could not be more pleased with the results.

David remodeled my bathroom. He removed the old 1970’s yellow tub and sinks and made it into a spa retreat. Cork floors, new double vanity, double rain head shower and handheld sprayers, new tile, bench seat, sleek toilet and paint. He also used mold resistant grout which is a cleaning lifesaver. During construction he was professional and thoroughly explained the process. I would highly recommend.
