1-800-Junk Relief

Had 1800Junk Relief show up to my storage garage to clean up some stuff that I have been pushing off to the side for quite sometime. It consisted of tile, paint cans, wood trim, 2×4’s etc. I really wanted to do it myself but I haven’t done it in over a year so who was I kidding? I just had to bite the bullet. Rolando came with his partner to give me an estimate and I was happy with the price. They literally started work immediately. They probably got done in about 40 minutes and they were on their way. The garage looks amazing! Great work guys!

What an amazing company — I’d give them ten stars if I could! They did everything they said they would do, all in a completely professional way, and they even finished the job early. Sergio, who visited the site and prepared the bid, responded promptly to all of my questions, and his bid was the most competitive. The team that came out to do the actual work did an amazing job, and left the place spotless. I can’t say enough good things about these guys.

What a great experience! I was really nervous about having to clean out my father’s house after he recently passed away. Needless to say it was an emotional time. This company is great. Called Red’s Hauling first because of their great reviews on Unilocal.Never called back. Then tried 1−800-Junk Relief. Got a prompt response and the schedule I needed with a price quote for removing my kitchen appliances. The crew, Oscar and Carlos could not have been better. They clearly knew what they were doing. They were very careful of walls, floors, and door frames even with the heavy refrigerator. And they were very pleasant during the whole process. It could not have been a better experience. They will be my first call next time I need to dispose of something.

This company is TOP NOTCH! Sergio answered all my questions and even kept in contact with me the morning of the appointment. It was raining out and I wasn’t sure they’d still come. Tie and Jose are hard workers and very polite. Not only did they clean out my basement in the rain, they also stopped by my parents house and grabbed a few things from them. With such great service and reasonable prices, we plan on having them back very soon as we have much more Junk for them to collect. It truly was a «RELIEF» to know they were able to help me out on such short notice.

Emailed Sunday morning; got response Monday morning; Beto and Oscar arrived as scheduled on Tuesday at 7 a.m. Stuff was gone by 7:45. I’d use them again in a heartbeat.

These guys are amazing if you are in a pinch and need something removed from your home. I did my Unilocal research and found junk relief & stellar reviews. Everything was easy. Went online & requested a quote and time. I got a response quickly and confirmed the pickup time.
The crew was prompt, friendly, professional and worked quickly. I showed them the items, they confirmed the price and got to work. They were in and out within 45 minutes. Super pleasant to deal with. I would definitely use them again.

After reading the Unilocal reviews, I selected 1−800-Junk Relief for the removal of some concrete rubble and scrap wood. I made an appointment via their website (gets you a discount) and they promptly replied with a rate card. The rates were competitive and we scheduled a pickup for the following day.
The crew arrived when expected and had called in advance to let me know they were en route. They examined the materials to be hauled and quoted a price that was even less than I had figured on my own.
Despite working in the rain, they had everything loaded in about 20 minutes at a very fair price.
The only glitch was the paperwork got wet in the rain so they couldn’t read my credit card number back at the shop. But they sent me an online invoice and it was very easy to make the final payment online.
Let’s face it, nobody really likes to pay to throw stuff away; garbage collection is something we usually think of as «free.» But sometimes the stuff has just got to go, and that’s when I plan to call 1−800-Junk-Relief again!

After reading reviews and considering some options 1−800-Junk-Relief was chosen to take some items from a Gold Coast highrise. What was impressive is that they say that they will donate items to charity and then dispose of things that can not be used. In my situation I had a lovely couch in excellent condition and some smaller household goods boxed up for charity in addition to items that needed to be disposed of. Through a series of events I found out that my good items went to a junk yard rather than a non-​profit.
On the day of the service, two young men arrived and were both very kind and professional. They were also early for the appointment. They needed a little guidance with getting the couch out of the apartment from the building engineer as to not scrape the remodeled hallway, yet they were patient and respectful the entire time.
After what I considered a very good experience things quickly changed. A little while after the Junk Relief team left I noticed that they had left behind a cushion to the couch that needed to be donated to charity. I tried calling the office, yet no one was available. The good news is that I was able to reach one of the men who took care of the service on his cell phone and said that they needed to return for the cushion. He explained that they already had gone to another stop, that the truck is full, and they are on the way to dispose of everything on the truck at the junk yard. He said that they would not be able to return for the cushion. We went back and forth on the phone about the fact that the couch needed to be donated to charity and not disposed of, and he was firm that the couch and other items in fact would not go to charity and just be dumped at a junk yard. For me, this was upsetting as I had trusted that the items which were in excellent condition would be properly donated as listed on the website for the business. In addition, because it was a highrise there was no place for me to place or dispose of the cushion. Yet, there was no help with this matter and I needed to use valuable time on my last day in the apartment to come up with another solution. Extremely disappointed that high quality items were going to a junk yard rather than to a non-​profit organization despite what is listed on the company’s website. If I had known this I would have had those items picked up with other things earlier in the week that went to good causes. About 1 week after this experience I received a call from a manager or the owner to discuss the service I received, and despite returning the call promptly and leaving a voice message my call was not returned.
From reviews it looks like many people have been very happy with this service, which is great for them. Had the cushion not been forgotten then I too would have ranked them highly. However with the forgotten cushion I learned that this company can be relied on for junk removal, however if you have items for charity I highly recommend calling a non-​profit to make a donation directly.
Recently I was in communication with Joe (the owner) who says that he resolved this matter at his company. Yet he was unnecessarily difficult and disrespectful in the process of communicating this to me.
At this point in time I do not recommend this business.

After accumulating more items which weren’t in any condition to be donated to charity I knew exactly who to call. I was fortunate to get the first appointment on a Saturday morning. The staff were prompt, courteous, and professional. They quickly loaded their truck and even had time to sweep our garage floor. This is service! We have used them twice before and won’t hesitate to call again.

I had a large project of removing a hot tub off of a third story roof top and the guys were in and out within 1.5 hours. Wow, is all is could say! The two guys on my job were extremely nice and beyond professional. I enjoyed watching them because they really seemed to enjoy what they are doing and they were smiling and laughing with each-​other throughout the entire job, quite entertaining. Again, with all this fun they were having they were very professional and got the junk removed in no time at all! They called me 30 minutes before hand (which I requested) they showed up on time and cleaned up spotlessly upon departure. I would strongly recommend using them and I will definitely be using them again! Not an easy job, but they made it look like a breeze!

This company was amazing start to finish.
A lil back story: Last year i relocated back to Chicago and brought with me my 102″ L x 48″ W couch. It is huge. We fast forward a year and the thing needs to be junked.
I was concerned because living in the city, its not like I can take this couch out side to my trash bin to thrown out. So i called this company, 1−820-junk relief.
They were very helpful. Sergio is really nice guy. He gave a confirmed price for my 1 item pick up.
About a week later I needed to call back and request my time to be moved up to earlier slot. this was literally the day before. Sergio had to check 1^st (yes I know, same guy lucky me) but he was able to do it.
My mother was at my residence. they showed up a lil after 7am. Came in and were professional in moving out the couch, Additionally, my old school Cuban mother noted the fact «they even fixed your door mat when they left».
I will definitely use these services again in the future. I liked the professionalism, flexibility and kind regard they put into this pick up.
Most importantly — $$$$ YES, I paid the price that was quoted by Sergio. No surprises

Showed up on my time, friendly staff, accommodated my need for a full truck even though theirs was already partially full. Isadore and Dwayne loaded over 150+ full contractor bags of tenants debris in no time. Reasonable rates and I will definitely be using them again as well as referring them to other contractors. You know that thing when you look at the weather report, and realizing it is going to be –20 you think you just might want to make room in the garage for your car? Yup, that.
On a Tuesday we called and they were out the next day. In and out in 30 minutes. Mani and Elias were beyond professional. Took out everything I needed and left me with a clean garage, even though they must have been freezing.
So grateful for the team at 1−800-Junk-Relief.

I had a 4 piece sectional couch that I needed removed pretty quickly and unfortunately because of a stain, Goodwill was not able to take it. I called 1−800-Junk-Relief and they set up a pick up for the next day.
Sergio and JR were prompt and extremely professional and were done within 10 minutes. Very painless process.
