Cheyenne’s EXCLUSIVE Video and Game rental store! We are locally owned and operated by a Cheyenne family who have been rooted in this great community for over 30 years. For your movie watching pleasure, we offer DVD, Blu-​Ray, and 3D Blu-​Ray rentals. Wii, Xbox 360, and PS3 game rentals* are also available. (*Deposit may be required.) We also sell Previously-​Viewed DVDs at budget-​friendly prices.

History

Established in 2012.

When Cheyenne’s last chain video rental store closed in 2011, owners Tammy, Tina and Michael decided that the Cheyenne community still deserved to provide their families with affordable entertainment options that didn’t require the use of credit cards and the impersonal experience of renting from a kiosk. Strongly believing in the power of personalized customer service, they created Half Moon Video to serve the video renting needs of Cheyenne. Together, they have over 16 years of experience in the video renting industry. We opened our store on February 22, 2012 — and we still provide the same dedication and love of the craft as our opening day.

Half Moon Video is a great asset to the Cheyenne community. They have a large selection of new and old movies, T. V; series, and video games. The owners/​staff are friendly, helpful, and very knowledgeable.

I’m so happy that Cheyenne has a video rental store! I don’t like using RedBox and even though I have a Netflix subscription, sometimes I don’t want to wait for movies to come in the mail. Half Moon has a great selection, they carry all the new titles and several older movies and TV shows as well. They also have a selection of PS3 and 360 games as well. (If you’ve got kids, this is a great place to go! They’ve got a really good children’s section!) Their prices are competitive and they don’t over charge.
Their discs are always in great condition. The store is tidy and well taken care of. The employees always have a great attitude and are friendly, polite, and more than willing to help. I’ve been using their service for about a year now (since I discovered their existence). I’ve never had a bad experience with them, and I recommend them to people.

I actually feel honored to write Half Moons first Unilocal review! I will start by saying in some ways I am a little biased, because I know the Bachelders, (the wonderful sibling owners.) that being said my personal relationship has nothing to do with the wonderful store and service these guys provide. From the minute you walk in you’re greeted with a friendly hello, and how can we help! Tammy, Tina, and Michael are all extremely professional and treat every customer like a part of their family. They are all willing to give you tips, and will graciously hold a copy of any title until you can come pick it up! I have never had a bad experience here and this place is the only place I’d rent movies. I love red box, and Netflix but there’s nothing better than a home town, locally owned and operated movie store with helpful and friendly people with an excellent selection of both old and new movies! Top shelf business!!!
