History

Established in 1986.

The Koitz Group started with Gretchen Koitz’s entry into DC Area real estate over 25 years ago. As a licensed Realtor in both MD and DC Gretchen quickly earned distinguished Top Producer honors and was the director of new agent training for one of the largest real estate offices in the United States. The group began to take form however when her sons, Jason and Kevin, joined in the business. Kevin, a passionate Technology expert with a degree in «New Communications/​Marketing» from Stanford, and Jason a hospitality expert with a background in finance. The partnership was completed with the addition of two other top producers, David Abrams and Ashley Fitzgerald in 2012, and finally our newest Virginia expert, Hillary Morton in 2015. Now serving DC, MD and VA, The Koitz Group offers a level of service and care, as one of our clients once put it, «like staying at The Four Seasons.»

Business Owner

Almost a native of the Washington, D.C. area, Gretchen has lived in the Maryland suburbs of Washington, D.C. since she was four years old. In her other lives, Gretchen worked on Capitol Hill as an administrative assistant to a Member of Congress, in a non-​profit agency monitoring state and federal elections, and at a private school in the development office.

Gretchen has over 20 years experience in residential real estate. While consistently ranking in the top 1% of all Realtors nationwide, Gretchen takes most pride in awards/​acknowledgments that also take client satisfaction into account — like the Masters Club or Extraordinary Agents designation.
