Beware of this store !!! I contacted Saint Laurent YSL customer service and they said Saks Jandel is not authorized vender for YSL. Handbags I bought from them not only damaged but might be not authentic !

There are very few stores in the DC area that make you welcome and special without being pressured to buy. My experiences are always delightful, professional and insightful for staff is very well educated on their product, fashion and style. I am always confident with purchases and feel lovely when I wear them!

Saks Jandel has a wonderful and unique costume jewelry selection ay amazingly affordable price points! Nikki the jewelry buyer has a great eye! I wish I was so well off that I could shop here all the time! Thankfully the have great sales a few times a year and you can find some great items! Allyson is a great personal shopper, as is Leticia who specializes in their fur selection. Get on their mailing list, and happy shopping!

This review was originally posted on «The Bridal Salon at Saks Jandel» Unilocal page on 8÷10÷2013… Went into Saks Jandel today after receiving several emails about a huge sale they were having. Actually, wanted to check out a few cocktail dresses for some upcoming galas but figured I would also browse their sample sale bridal gowns(just for ideas). That place looked like a zoo! I’m starting to wonder if it was actually a going out of business sale which would explain why the sales associates seemed to care less about helping customers or if there was another underlying reason why no one assisted me or even acknowledged my presence. When I walked in there were sales racks everywhere, I felt like I had walked in a Marshall’s or Ross. Spotted a few associates, no one spoke or even attempted to make eye contact with me. I continued to walk around for several minutes, still nothing. Eventually, picked up a cute purple cocktail dress and still no one approached me or acted like they were interested in making a sale. Oh well. Would’ve at least like to try the dress on but I don’t patronize places where I am clearly not welcome. Continued to walk around still nothing, so I left vowing to never go back. I shop at upscale department stores, namely Saks Fifth Avenue and Neiman Marcus, all the time and have never experienced anything like this. Definitely will not be returning to Saks Jandel ever again. If you decide to go there, don’t say I didn’t warn you. 2÷8÷14 I was asked by a Saks Jandel Bridal Salon representative to remove my review from August since it was about Saks Jandel, not specifically their bridal salon. Again, my review speaks solely to my experience at Saks Jandel, not their bridal salon.

Unable to currently afford the gown I craved, but staff was very helpful, and, on hearing my requests, brought to my attention over 5 stunning dresses I unfortunately could not come close to afford. Will be back if I hit the lottery.

In reply to Leah C., and other private emails – no confusion here! Our family has been Saks(5th Ave) shoppers for generations now… I have received emails privately corroborating what I wrote… that if you may appear not to have the«means» you don’t get the same service. Who knows who has money and who doesn’t…but to remove that shirt from an older woman so abruptly was just plain wrong. We even reached out to SJ to try and rectify it and were totally blown off.

This was the worst shopping experience ever! I went looking for a dress for a black tie gala. The salesclerk told me FOUR times that it was so hard for her to find me anything because they don’t get many options in the REALLYBIG sizes –(you should know that I asked for sizes 8 and 10 and every size 10 she brought me was too big for me). Her manager was equally as rude, refusing to order another size unless I paid in full for the dress upfront with no option for return or even a store credit if the new size didn’t work. The next time I want to drop $ 2,000 for a dress, I will be sure to go where my business is appreciated.
