Great venue for a celebration. I attended a pre-​wedding ceremony here, and it was spacious. They also allowed catering and alcohol on-​site, which is huge! There are 2 sets of bathrooms, which helps with the overall flow.
It’s a great location to host a reception, or even a ceremony if needed!

This place certainly isn’t fancy but it’s very close to where my boyfriend lives and the exercise room has everything I would ever use at a gym (hand weights, treadmill, elliptical, and stationary bike)! It’s almost never crowded in the exercise room and the desk people are very friendly. Best of all, it’s so reasonably priced to buy access to the gym and you can go to all of the other Montgomery County recreation centers too! $ 180 for the year aka…$ 15 a month! Can’t beat it!

We attended a reception that was held in the Social Hall at the Jane E Lawton Community Recreation Center. It is located conveniently near the Bethesda metro station, and there is also ample parking space. It is a good option if you are looking to host an event and need a party space. They provide tables and chairs, and if you rent the social hall, you can use the kitchen facility as well.

Basketball, Weight Room, Gym, and classes offered.
Well this recenter is what I remember from high school,½ indoor basketball, weight room, and 2 pool tables, 1 ping pong table.
Went today Saturday April 8^th 2011, after 3pm. Several Fathers and sons,
playing basketball, and a guy about 50 looking for a pickup basketball game.
Several teens were being picked up after a game when we walked in.
The staff really made me feel welcome, which was nice. Tia, talked with
us and showed us several pamphlets of ongoing and upcoming events.
She also told us the fees, for the entire center $ 35 a month. For Montgomery County Residents and the game room is free.
So my friend, played about 4 games of pool warming up by
himself.Then two young guys came in and showed us their best game for six additional games. Tia and Lidia were warm ad friendly as we had closure and left.
Sadly, because of budget cuts, and 0 revenues from the property tax loop hole 3 years ago, the center is very worn down. Pool cues, Pool sticks
barely useable. The wood floors of the gym looked well maintained. The gym equipment seemed well maintained and in working order.
I had voted at this center maybe 8 years ago or longer when it was
newly refurbished. It was 5 star wonderful.
The carpet needs replacing, it has done above and beyond service for the center.
The Center needs to have some new life blown into it, via
a little money goes along way.
It is nice to have a place to go for free to play ping-​pong, or pool. Sign up for various small to moderate fee classes.
Finally, because the staff and people are friendly; it makes an enjoyable place to checkout.
