We are a small specialized practice that is focused on giving you the highest level of care in the most comfortable setting.

Our specialty is Periodontics with a focus on dental implants, gum grafting and bone grafting. We are uniquely qualified in our area to provide IV sedation so that you can feel comfortable during any procedure.

In addition to being a Periodontist, Dr. Puterman also completed a 3 year residency in Implant Dentistry, giving him an extra level of expertise in treating complex cases.

History

Established in 2011.

After Dr. Puterman worked as a periodontist for several years, he set out to create a Periodontal and Dental Implant practice that was different from others. He saw firsthand how patients at offices were often uneasy with treatment proposals and decided to open his office, based on his idea of how inviting an office should be. Having had gum grafting himself, he knows what it’s like to be on the «other side». In a short time, our practice has grown tremendously, quickly becoming one of the foremost and busiest in the DC area. That being said, we still book appointments with enough time so that patients rarely have to wait, despite the very comfortable seating area. We look forward to showing you what great service is all about!

Business Owner

Dr. Israel Puterman grew up in Montréal, Canada before moving to Boston in 1998 to attend dental school at Boston University. Following graduation, he went west and attended Loma Linda University where he received the unique perspective of a double Residency, one in Periodontics as well as one in Implant Dentistry, in addition to a Master of Science based on research to minimize discomfort related to gum grafting.

Full-​time residency training in Implant Dentistry is something that is quite rare, and only three such programs exist in the US. Only a handful of periodontists in the country have this extra level of training and it gives Dr. Puterman an extra level of expertise related to dental implant cases of all types, both simple and the most complex.

He is published in major journals, has received several awards and regularly lectures to other dentists, both locally and nationally. He focuses his practice on Implant Dentistry, Periodontics and IV Sedation.
