Courtyard Chevy Chase

From the beginning, the receptionist was courteous and on point. My room was beyond amazing and the thing that stood out the most was the bed. The queen bed was amazing. The pillows were really good resort quality as well. So next was the bathroom. The deep, dark wood was very calming. Also the glass tiles were a nice decorative touch. I probably stayed in that steaming hot shower for over an hour easily. I also thoroughly enjoyed breakfast the next morning downstairs. I’ve stayed at hotels that end breakfast at 9:00am however here they served breakfast until 11am. The hash browns were cooked to perfection as well. I recommend the pancakes as well. However, if you’re getting the pancakes, I’d definitely share with someone. They give you three pan size pancakes. Also all of the breakfast combos included fresh cut, seasonal fruit. Yummy

Room was nice and clean. I normally have to ask for extra towels, but the bathroom was stocked with more than enough. Friendly staff at check in and check out. Easy parking attached to the hotel. Complimentary wifi.
Hotel «restaurant» has a really slim menu and is really just a small bar in the lobby. The bartenders were friendly, but the menu was very limited and food was somewhat slow to come out for something as simple as a burger. No real amenities to speak of that you would expect in the business area. No rooms in the lobby to take a quiet call. No complimentary coffee on your way out in the morning (they sell Starbucks coffee at the bar).
This last item is partially my fault — I had a room right next to the elevator, which is to say that the room literally wraps around the elevator shafts. This was noisy, especially when trying to sleep at night or early in the morning. In all of my travels, I’ve never had a room next to an elevator, so now I know to make sure to make that special request in the future. I recommend that you do the same.
If you need to stay in the area, you could definitely do worse, but for the price you’d expect just a little bit more.

My boyfriend and I where very unhappy with our stay here last weekend. The first room we stayed in had mold all around the edge of the wall and carpet. The only way we found out it bc my allergies became so bad I thought I was going to have to go the hospital. It was around 2:30 in the morning when all of this was happening, so my boyfriend and I did not want to go to another hotel so we asked to switch rooms. We moved rooms and my allergies instantly (maybe about 15 – 20 mins later) got better! But that’s not it… We ended up finding blood in our bed the next morning. My boyfriend and I were not bleeding anywhere. So the hotel gave us just $ 25 off our stay and they told us that the OM was going to give us a call. About a day or 2 later he calls my boyfriend saying that they did not find any mold in the first room or blood in the bed for the second room. So the OM gave my boyfriend the wrong email address to send the photos that we showed to him. I decided to call him myself. I called him two days in a row, left two voicemails and then I got a call back two days later. When the OM called me back it was not the right time for me to talk so I told him I would call him back. So I called him back about 30 mins later and to no surprise he «was not at his desk». So I just drove to the hotel myself to speak to him face to face. When I talked to him he said the same thing he said to my boyfriend. And with out saying it he was really calling us liars about the mold and the blood. I really was not looking to get anything out of this but that was just nasty and uncomfortable to stay in a place like that.
Personally I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Very nasty or maybe I have high standards for places that I stay.

Located in a nice neighborhood with lots of shops and boutiques. A hotel designed for the business traveler without any of the basic hospitality services for a business meeting in the lobby during the day! Not even water or (preferably complimentary) coffee service. Response by the staff; there’s a Starbucks a block away. Thank God for Hampton Inn! Won’t ever stay here.

I have over logged over 75 nights at this hotel this year. So it is a favorite. Great location and nice staff but the restaurant really needs to get a new menu and learn to cook anything beef related. They never cook beef right. It is either over or under done. The stale menu is just boring. Specials is not a word they know. In fact the few bar or restaurant specials just don’t change so there is nothing special about them. Happy hour could be a lot happier for everyone if there was one. The bar and restaurant are not very busy and no one gets the hint. The environment is cool and the hotel has a friendly vibe but management is lossing a lot of cash because they are lazy. The restaurant and bar seem orphaned. Cool hotel but it could really be happening.

I just went to DC for a 24 hour business Trip. The hotel was chosen for us by our business connection there. The price was good for the area, but certainly not super cheap. Within walking distance you have some amazing shopping (Tiffany, Bloomingdales, and every other ritzy shop) and lots of good restaurants like Capitol Grille and Cheesecake Factory.
The hotel itself was very nice inside, but the room was a bit bit cramped. The a/​c system had a thermostat, but had one of those in wall units that loud and creates dry air. Parking was also $ 15, but I’m pretty sure that might be standard there.
Overall, we would stay there again, but I’d like to get a better deal per night

Stayed here for four nights while doing work on a new house. Although I was skeptical about a courtyard Marriott it was great. Super modern, clean, and convenient. Friendly staff and a quiet room. I’d definitely recommend this if you need a spot in friendship heights.

Good hotel, I’ve stayed here many times when other locals are booked up. Front desk is very friendly. It’s a close walk to sereral resturants. Rooms are clean and modern. Hotel fitness center has 2 treadmills, an elliptical and stationary bike. There is a few dumbbells, a bench and but no multi station type machines. Gym is located on 3^rd floor and ajdacent to rooms (No rubber matting on the floor) so you need to treat the weights like feathers. Overall a very good hotel to stay at.

Will never stay at this location again!!! Went to Capital Grill for dinner and decided to stay at this Marriott. Front desk person RUDE. I pad $ 15 to park and another car just parked out in front of lobby overnite. I took pics to prove it. I asked the front desk what would happened if I did it and was told I would be towed. No biggie, oh well. Room layout was really nice, nice décor. After sleeping in that thing they call a bed my wife and. I feel like we need back surgery. I would have preferred to sleep on a table. Marriott, extremely disappointed with this hotel and its in such a perfect location.

Right outside of DC, i’ve stayed here a few times. Less then a 10 minute walk to the Friendship Heights metro is also a plus. The hotel is very clean, the help is very nice too. Not too expensive considering it is Chevy Chase. Underground parking available for a small fee.

Bathroom was a bit small and tough to move around in. But the hotel is clean and updated. Location is good for easy access to shopping and metro.

Comfortable stay right outside of the city in a very modern part of Friendship Heights. Lots of shopping and stores lining Wisconsin Ave.

Great outside pool and lots of friendly go-​out-​of-​their-​way staff to make your stay that much more enjoyable.

Awesome. First night here for work and I found a pubic hair on my sheets. I had to inspect the bed since I noticed the bottom sheet seems wrinkled.
Great location though right across from Saks and a block away from Neimans, Tiffany’s, YSL, etc.

I was really happy with my stay here. It’s hard to base your decision on online reviews because people tend to be a little more critical when it comes to hotels. The staff was helpful, even the maintenance crew was quick to start a conversation and the rooftop access overlooking Wisconsin Ave was awesome. Everything was really clean, so much so that there was no need for shoes on my walk to the ice machine. Wholefoods, Cheesecake Factory, Nieman Marcus, CVS are all within walking distance as well as easily accessible public trans. Highly recommended

Great location and nice hotel. We usually like to stay right in the heart of the city we are visiting and walk and use public transportation. This hotel worked well for D.C. We walked to the train and were within walking distance of food and shops and saved $ 300 a night.
Staff was not very professional. Chit-​chatted with each other while checking us in which took three times as long as it should have. Bartender was a DB. Pours the lightest drinks I’ve ever seen. Note to Mgr. Staff needs training.

Hotel in the swanky Chevy Chase Area! Jimmy Choo? Tiffany’s? Vera Wang? It’s all just steps away.
This is by far the nicest Courtyard that I have ever been to. Beautiful modern décor. Everything is well kept and clean.
The rooms have nice flat screen HD TV’s, fluffy warm comforters, themostats, mini fridges, and coffee nook.
The gym was clean, well equipped with two treadmills, an eliptical, and a bike. Free weights in standard sizes. I would have liked there to be towels in the gym (they were out.)
The dining was decent when I tried it. The ribs were melt-​off-​the-​bon tender. The BBQ sauce was tangy and tasty. The split pea and ham soup was totally yummy – not too salty, flavorful, well balanced. I do wish they had a more comprehensive roomservice menu. The menu provided did not reflect what was available.
Location is great, near lots of high end stores, whole foods, movie theater, and tasty restaurants. Only 3 blocks from the Friendship Heights Metro station too.
The staff was very competent and professional. They were also very helpful and curtious.

This location is one of the newer/​remodeled Courtyards. Picked this property since it was about 2 miles from my client’s site and the price was reasonable.
It’s in a great location and if you Unilocal Around you’ll find that there is shopping, numerous eateries, and even a movie theatre complex within walking distance of the hotel.
Having the updated lobby area with a Starbucks, bar, and full service restaurant is also a plus. My room came complete with an HD TV and surprise the channels actually lined up with their in room channel guide! Bathroom had an extra large walk in shower with a glass door (Hooray no skeevy shower curtain!).
Workout area was clean and was well equipped with aerobic equipment w/​media centers and free weights.
Ate at the restaurant/​bar on night one and the food was not bad at all. Ordered a buffalo chicken salad and it was pretty good. Other diners were enjoying their burgers, steaks, and even a pasta dish and I did not hear of one complaint.
They do have an underground parking facility and if you are claustrophobic you are in trouble. It’s pretty tight quarters with a lot of support columns and very narrow driving lanes. The car paint marks on the columns remind you to take it slow when navigating down there.
All in all a very good experience and I would stay here again.
