Cooper William H Jr MD

I have been going to Dr. Cooper’s practice for many years and have always felt he was the best gynecologist in the area. He delivered my son 12 years ago and provided me with a great experience during a difficult birth. I have never considered going to another gynecologist as his style is one that makes me feel comfortable and well taken care of. Dr. Cooper always takes as much time as needed after checkups to talk over any issues and respond to my concerns. I have never waited past my appointment time as I do in a lot of other offices. He is always on time! His nurse Lisa is personable and friendly as are the receptionists. Great doctor!

I’ve experienced ups and downs with hormone therapy, and in voicing both concern and support, one of the office staff said to me, «I’m praying for you.» I’d like organized religion to stay away from any doctor’s office.

I was seen by Dr. Cooper for my routine Gynecological for the first time.
Upon my arrival, they charged me a $ 45 mandatory administration fee not covered by my insurance and it was not discussed with me prior to my appointment.
After a very short and quick examination, Dr. Cooper did not order the lab tests that are included in a basic check-​up during any gynecological exam. He claimed that the only test he would get paid from insurance company for a routine exam is pap smear. He said in order to complete my checkup I should request for a new appointment and to pay for another office visit. When I asked him to take a quick look into my ear to see whether the antibiotic I was taking for my infection was working or not, he replied that my request was neither in his department nor did he have an Otoscope.
He also prescribed a supply of six months of birth control medication instead of one year. He indicated that a refill can be made upon another visit beyond six months.
He is obviously distracted from his main task and he is worrying about money rather than providing care for his patients. I believe it is so unwise to trust him when it comes to my health.

The nurses were nice, but the doctor only gloved one of his hands during my pap exam. (the gloved hand was the one he inserted into my vagina, but he still touched me with his ungloved hand) NOT OKAY.
Doctors should *ALWAYS* glove their hands before touching patients.
