The first person I must mention is my designer, Shawn Campana. Without him I would have not gotten very far. He was always upbeat and available and stirred me in the right direction, when I was unsure. At the same time he allowed me to express my wishes and did not insist on a design when he saw that I wanted something a little different. He helped me greatly with making a large number of difficult design and material choices. He solved many problems, he put me in touch with many other specialists. He drew up a winning design.
Nick Botkin helped me pick all appliances. He made a difficult job easy.
The installer/​contractor, above all Chelo Puentes were equally important in the great outcome of my kitchen. Chelo came early on to my house, and quickly noticed a number of potential problem areas that needed to be resolved. A wall had to come out, but it contained pipes, two ceilings were not of the same height. A vent for the hood had to be hidden in an impossibly small space. An air conditioning duct had to be rerouted. These were just a few of the problems he solved. His team: Gino, Gabriel, Walter and Alfredo were extremely dedicated and precise. They went above and beyond to make sure at the end everything was perfect.
WeFloors, the floor company, brought back to life the original hardwood floor of my 1930 house. It was an unusual request on my part, but Hermmans, the owner of WeFloors worked with me from beginning to end, going through a process of removing layers of plywood and linoleum to even see the original floor, then taking out nails and repairing. I now have a unique reclaimed floor, which adds character to the kitchen. Domingo and Melvin get all the credit bringing the old floor back to life. WeFloors also sent Fernando to install a difficult mosaic backsplash. He was very skilled.
Brad Whitman did an excellent job with the electric.
I could trust everybody who entered my house completely. Sometimes waiting for permits was tough but in the end this was minor and the project got completed in 2 months.

On the sales end, Nick Botkin was most knowledgeable about the refrigerator options we were exploring, with a pleasing and «no hassle,» «no pressure» style — very much appreciated in helping us make a final choice. Delivery and installation, accomplished by the fine team of Edox and Emeka, was outstanding. They worked silently, swiftly and efficiently with no shortcuts, and spared our fine wood floor from any damage. They had to navigate some tight spaces to get the unit into the house and into the kitchen position and did so quite professionally. Kudos to the entire Bray & Scarff team for giving us a great product and the kind of personal service that seems so rare these days.

I had three appliances delivered on Dec. 2, 2015. The delivery men, D.J. and Terrell were professional, experienced, efficient and polite. The delivery went very well. There were no problems or delays. The men knew what they were doing. The delivery crew at Bray & Scarf work for Bray & Scarf and are not contractors, as with the delivery people from Home Depot and other appliance stores.
I recommend Bray & Scarf.

My experience with bray and Scarff was excellent. I had shopped around other kitchen design centers but both the appliance and kitchen worked hand in hand to put together a beautiful kitchen for the price I wanted to pay. Once everything was ordered it was in the hands of their kitchen works department. Everything ran smoothly and if there were any bumps along the way they responded quickly the problem was solved. We did a major renovation so there was of demo work. The staff was clean and through. The carpentry and electrical staff were great. Since the renovation of our kitchen the house looks brand new and anyone who sees it can’t say enough compliments. I highly recommend Bray and Scarff.

I went to Bray and Scarff when I bought an aging condo. ALL appliances needed to be replaced and a washer/​dryer installed. I was stressed by the decisions and the impending cost. Owen Stevens was patient, asked the right questions, and recommended durable appliances that I could afford. They also recommended general contractors who turned out to be terrific. I cannot recommend the company, and in particular Owen, enough.

Love these guys! I bought a GE stacked washer dryer unit in early November. Barely a month later it suddenly stopped working for no apparent reason. GE were completely useless and were unable to explain to the Bray and Scarff technician (who was lovely) why the fuse they thought needed to be replaced, wasn’t actually in the machine. They told the technician they would «do more research», which made my heart sink. But Bray and Scarff were superb. The next day, I got a call from John Damico to say they wouldn’t wait for GE and would simply replace the entire machine, right away. I have been buying appliances from Bray and Scarff for 12+ years and this was a good reminder why I don’t go to Sears etc and have to deal with endless waits on 1 – 800 numbers. Can’t recommend them highly enough.

After doing my research on a new microwave hood I went to Bray and scarff and they hooked me up with a better price then appeared on the website. It was great working with Paul. And ZO arrived on time to install the microwave above my stove. He did a great job. He was extremely polite, worked efficiently, and checked to make sure everything was working fine. He was extremely careful not to make a mass. And cleaned up even the little bit of dust that came from the installation. I didn’t have to do any cleaning after he left, which I normally have to do when installers come to make deliveries and installations. He also help me measure for a new fridge for the day when I need to replace mine. This is extremely helpful to me. I love Bray & scarff and I will only buy my appliances from them. So much better then the big stores.

Bray & Scarff did a great job helping me find the best dryer for my tiny rowhouse basement laundry room. The salesman, Owen, had a great knowledge of inventory and was able to suggest a regular-​capacity dryer that would fit in the tight space. Other (unnamed) appliance stores had just tried to upsell me on a much more expensive, tiny model. Bray & Scarff were also able to coordinate with a contractor they work with to install the dryer, since it needed a customized installation to get into the small space. Will definitely go with them again for any future appliance purchases!

I *really* wish I had read all of these low reviews before I purchased thousands of dollars with of appliances from Bray & Scarff. My fridge, which is less than three years old, is broken, and I just took a half day of work to wait for a repairman who didn’t show up.
The sales staff did not warn me about the potential defects of a bottom freezer, and now they won’t fix it. I should have gone to Sears…

Our dishwasher wasn’t working and our landlord used their services to install a new one. The technician walked in with boots to install the new dishwasher and then the machine would not drain water after we used it the same day (tech would not remove shoes despite request and walked all over our living room (It was raining outside).
They choose their own convenient time to come to my place, when Im at work.
We have been cleaning our own dishes with our hands for the past 2 weeks in this cold weather while Bray and Scarff deciding to come in for repairs at their own sweet convenient time. Find some other business that is more receptive and eager to provide help for your appliance needs!

David Kaop is a great designer who listens. The general contractor on my kitchen remodelling, Kaime, was very good too.

I ordered a new 48″ Sub-​Zero refrigerator freezer from Bray & Scarff on July 2^nd. I was to receive an automated phone call on the 4^th to tell me what time they’d be out on the 5^th to take appropriate measurements. The call never came, the measuring guy never came. Late afternoon on the 5^th I called B&S. I got an apology and a promise to be out the next day. I moved some things around on my calendar in order to be there. Got a call on the morning of the 6^th to say, well no, they’d have to reschedule to the 7^th. I had moved much of what I had intended to do on the 6^th in order to accommodate B&S. I was not happy to have to reschedule again. The guy did show up on the 7^th and the necessary measurements were taken. I was told a grill had to be special ordered, but the refrigerator could be delivered and the wooden panels that had been removed from the old refrigerator would be installed on schedule on the 12^th. Well, the refrigerator WAS delivered on the 12^th. However, not only did they not have the grill, which I had expected, the retrofit kit necessary for the installation of the panels was not on the truck. So I was promised another automated call on the 17^th to give me time I could expect the work to be completed on the 18^th. The driver called 10 minutes ago to tell me that he is on the way. However, although he has the retrofit kit and can install the panels, the salesman had ordered the wrong part so he won’t be able to install the grill. So I’ll be getting one last visit from Bray & Scarff at some yet to be determined time in the future to finish the job.
And I haven’t even mentioned the $ 195 credit I was to have gotten that has yet to be processed.
I’ve been ordering from Bray & Scarff for three decades because, although you pay a little more, the service has been excellent and painless. Not this time. This has been a lose lose situation. Pay more, get less. When the job is done it will have taken four separate visits including one measuring appointment twice rescheduled to get the job done.
It used to be a no-​brainer. I needed an appliance, I called Bray & Scarff. There are other fish in the sea. I need a new dishwasher. I’m baiting the hook now.

I know that people have complained about Bray & Scarff, but my experience has been different. They had the products we wanted, plus a variety of other things we weren’t even thinking of getting (like the Advantium 120, which we love). We got them, and the 5 year warranty, and rolled them into our new mortgage. Delivery was great. Installation was great. When we needed service, we had our expectations set (first visit is always diagnostic — so it always takes two visits, I get it). Mike the repair guy, has always been prompt and tidy.
All that said, it may be possible I’ve just lucked out. In which case, I’m happy I have!
Incidentally, I think a lot of the cause for complaints for companies of this type is simply that the customer is really, truly inconvenienced when an appliance is not working, and they want it fixed fast. Any problem with the fix gets amplified in the circumstance. Not an excuse, just something to keep in mind — set your expectations for at least two visits.

I would give them a ZERO if I didn’t fear it would look like I forgot to rate them. This company is a negligent nightmare! I have been trying to get my dishwasher fixed for 8 weeks now. They send two guys to fix it because of an internal scheduling snafu (i.e., they don’t know what they are doing) and then each thought the other was doing the work, so nothing got done. When I brought this to their attention, they sent a third guy out and only now (6 weeks after the first appt.) did they order the part they needed. Apparently it will be fixed next week. I absolutely have 0% faith in that happening. No one cares over there. So don’t expect knowledgeable or concerned assistance. Bray & Scarff want to sell you expensive equipment, and then want you to go away.
