Dr. Bauer is a graduate of Boston University. She is an active participant in advanced continuing education and had completed a Master Level program in Cosmetic Dentistry with 2-​Visit Smile Makeover in a prestigious Aesthetic Advantage program in NYU. She had also been trained in providing alternative treatment to CPAP for Sleep Apnea as well as Facial Esthetics with Xeomin, Botox and Fillers. Dr. Bauer is also commited to restoring smiles for abused women as well as contributing to other community organizations in the area. She had established a successful, clinical practice that combines expertise in General and Cosmetic Dentistry with Xeomin, Botox as well as Fillers. Dr. Bauer is dedicated to providing complete care that is sensitive to patient’s concerns.

Dr. Bauer is certified in the following areas: providing Alternative treatment to CPAP for Sleep Apnea and Snoring, as well as Botox/​Dysport, Dermal fillers and is able to treat patients for Temporomandibular disorders of the jaw (TMJ), clenching, and cosmetic dental enhancements.

i think she is the best dentist ever for me. she explains very well, very attentive, her work was very good and done quite fast. she knows her stuff. laura, her assistant is very attentive also. she is by herself, so the phone call and billing make take some time to get back on but it is not an issue. her price point is very high, out of network, but you get what you pay for.

Dr. Alona Bauer is very knowledgeable and personable. I found her through a groupon. She has 5 star ratings on Unilocal for a reason. The parking in the building is free and there is not a long wait to get called back. She knows what she is doing and is amazing!

I could not be happier with my visit to Dr. Bauer. I’ve been dealing with painful and somewhat intractable jaw tension and teeth clenching, and my dentist didn’t offer any help beyond a basic mouthguard. I’ve been to many dentists who claim to treat TMJ but they don’t seem to know anything about it. Dr. Bauer really knows her stuff and gave me more useful information in one visit than I’ve gleaned from the last 5 dentists I’ve been to combined. Her assistant Laura was great as well. I’ve really never felt so welcome and comfortable in a dentist’s or doctor’s office before. I could go on for a while, but I’ll just add that Laura and Dr. Bauer both spent a LOT of time with me and I was only charged for the procedure I had done. They both seem to genuinely like people and like what they do, which is a rare and precious find.

BEWARE! I agree with D.S. The people in this office are VERY unprofessional. No one ever answers the phone and if you leave a message they do not call you back. I find this beyond weird because I cannot understand how they can stay in business.

I honestly can’t rate the doctor because the process of making an appointment with her was so off-​putting I quit while I was ahead.
First be aware that her office hours are fairly odd. Getting someone to answer the phone even during office hours, however, is a feat I have yet to accomplish.
Never once when I called during the published business hours was the phone answered — it consistently went to voice mail. I left three messages (why I don’t know — curious to see if anyone would ever call me back I guess) before anyone called me back. When Laura (Laurie?) did finally call me back, her demeanor was practically hostile — snippy, as my mother would say. Weirdly put out, as if I’d done something terrible to her or someone she loved. And mind you I’ve never met this person. Who knows. At that point I flat out gave up and moved on.
Dr. Bauer would be doing herself a favor — and her patients, no doubt — by investing in a proper answering service — or front desk staff who answer the phone, return messages, and are better at pretending they don’t hate her patients.

Hands down the best dentist I’ve ever been to. Not only is she extremely nice and gentle, but she truly goes above and beyond to make her patients happy. I will definitely return even though I have since moved out of state.

Dr. Bauer and her staff were so welcoming. I felt like I went to hang out with friends. She spent so much time with me. Other doctors, for any types of visits, are usually in and out. She’s extremely knowledgeable about injectables and set realistic expectations for results.
Yesterday was my first visit but, most likely, not my last. I purchased a Groupon for Botox/​Dysport and have had it done previously by a different doctor. Since it was yesterday, I can’t tell you about results but I can say she covered the same area as I had previously done and it was considered one site. The other doctor either charged me for 2 or was much more expensive to begin with.
Also, when going to a doctor for anti aging «procedures» isn’t it comforting when the doctor looks 15 years younger than her actual age? I should be so lucky to look as young as her. Actually, maybe there’s hope with another visit to Dr. Bauer for some fillers and regular visits. :)

Dr. Bauer is top notch. I visited her for the first time today, and she was nothing but what everyone else has been saying-​intelligent, kind, efficient and artistic. I’m a bit squeamish around doctors’ offices, and when I shared this information with her, she was sensitive and understanding. I will undoubtedly recommend her to colleagues and friends.

Dr. Bauer and her assistant Laura are wonderful, caring people and Dr. Bauer does great work. In addition to using the latest technology to manage the office, Dr. Bauer also stays up on homeopathic and alternative approaches (like acupressure) to ensure that patients are comfortable and healthy. She is a perfectionist, but that’s a positive factor. First time in my life that I’m happy to go to the dentist!

Well as everyone else has said Dr. Bauer is great! Gotta love Laura as well :-)
I initially went in for Dysport but since it had been such a long time since going to the dentist I figured it was time for a cleaning as well. I had neglected my mouth for too long and needed a decent amount of work done. A few fillings later, a new dental device to straighten my teeth, and a follow up for the Dysport I am good to go!
Dr. Bauer is attentive, kind, and overall just fantastic. I came in with my friend who was complaining about something completely non dental related and Dr. Bauer took the time to talk with her about it. You can’t get much better than that.
I travel 100% of the time and wouldn’t hesitate to fly back to have work done by her again if/​when needed.

I go to Dr. Alona Bauer for dysport. She is simply wonderful. She is attentive, friendly, very knowledgeable about her trade and makes the experience so pleasant. She is open, honest and friendly. She is one of the only doctors I know that gives each patient personal attention and treatment and actually remembers them each time! Her staff is amazing too. They are super friendly and their follow up is impressive. I have absolutely nothing negative to say about Dr. Alona Bauer! Go to her and you will be impressed. I promise!

Alona was highly recommended by a friend who had her perform cosmetic dentistry. I had not seen my friend for a year or so, and her teeth had always bothered her, stained and chipped, she was in dire need of a dentist who had an ability to create a new and beautiful smile. I have many friends who have had extensive cosmetic dentistry, and hers looked the best by far. Not only does my friend look 10 years younger, her teeth will look fabulous for many years to come. I look forward to having Alona apply her artistic and technical expertise to my smile as well. Her staff instantly made me feel welcome and comfortable, can’t wait for my pretty teeth!

Her hands and her energy always makes me feel at ease, she is always attentive and kind .And i always feel pampered when i go to her office. Dr a Bauer changed the way i look at going to dentist appointments. it is like going to a spa! really!
I have been a patient for more than 12 years and it always amazed me how Dr Alona Bauer keeps up with all the latest research… she always learns that which is the latest innovations in the field… of general dentistry and in the field of cosmetic dentistry!
She also uses methods of dentistry as healthy as possible and often uses homeoappothy with her treatments. I like that, because I am very health consience and so is she!
All my silver has been replaced by Dr Bauer, so I don“t have any heavy metal in my mouth and my system is toxin free !
Thanks to Dr A Bauer I have the best smile now ever and look at least 10 years younger now… ever since i had the cosmetic dentistry work done. I have so many compliments from my friends and strangers on my beautiful teeth. i feel i dont have to hide and feel fantastic about it!
Recently i tried the botox and fillers that dr Bauer is offering now and I loved the effects of it ! worth the money!
Plus I felt so confident that she she knows all the face muscles so well to work them!
Her prices are in the average… and the office charges similar to all dentists around the area but her work and her ethics are a million dollars worth!

I found out about Dr. Bauer Through a client of mine in Bethesda Md. I know she is a dentist and an amazing one at that. Been there for my tooth implant and couldn’t have been more satisfied. She is gentle, loving, caring, and most of all professional! Then I just found out she is offering botox and fillers. Ive always wanted to do it but have been super scared to do it. I went to go see her and come to find out her prices are equally as amazing as she is. My upper lip was thinner on one side then the other, most can’t notice but it drove me crazy. I spoke to her and she told me she could fix it. I went in and I was soooooooo nervous, but Dr. Bauer and her assistant were so loving and confident it was gonna be great. I went for it. I am soooo happy and satisfied with it. I am soo much more confident. I told people about it. Some of them thought it was weird that a dentist was doing these procedures, but I feel dentist are very precise with what they do. It was amazing!!! I highly recommend…

I have sleep apnea and I could not get used to my CPAP. When I inquired about a sleep apnea dental device, Dr. Bauer was on the list of recommended dentists from my sleep clinic. They were able to see me within a week and I had the dental appliance two weeks later. She and her staff were very friendly and took the time to explain what they are doing and answer all my questions. Because of the shape of my teeth I had some issue with the original appliance, but they worked with me until I was happy with it at no additional charge. I have been in for a six month and one year checkup and cleaning that was also included. They were very good at answering questions that I had via phone and email, getting back to me very quickly.
The office is nice and has all the usual modern dentist stuff. She seems to offer all the usual dentist cleanings & fillings, and cosmetic dentistry stuff as well: whitening, veneers, crowns, botox, etc. I can’t really comment on any of those treatments, since I have another dentist that I have been going to for years that I am very loyal to.
Be aware that if you are going for the dental appliance, they are not cheap and they don’t work for everyone. It’s a good idea to work with your insurance company before you go in to see what they cover. They don’t take insurance, but they helped me with all the forms. That being said, it worked for me and was really worth the money.
I have been happy with the service that I have received there and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to my friends.

I have been to several dentist, however I am totally impressed with Dr. Alona Bauer and her practice. The office has a strong and positive energy from the moment you walk through the door. She makes me feel completely comfortable and at ease. She takes the time to ensure that I better understand why dental hygiene is important and what I can do to improve. Not to mention that she does top-​notch preventative and cosmetic dentistry work.
