First let me say this is a smoking establishment, if that bothers you I wouldn’t go. Sometimes I’m more sensitive to it than other times and I’m asthmatic. Besides the smoke, I love their burgers! Juicy, always cooked perfectly, lots of cheese and the fries are tasty too. I love a good burger and they have it. This is a neighborhood bar and it’s always real friendly. I haven’t been in there enough to know anyone but I’m always chatted with, which is nice. I wish they were opened on Sundays as I know my husband would love this place.

The food was terrible. I order the charbroiled burger and side salad. First you can’t have separate checks. It says it in the menu, by our waitress separated our meals on the same checks. A little misleading. I wasn’t able to substitute a side salad for my fries, so I paid full price for the burger meal and salad. The charbroiled burger it just a frozen store patty. The salad was mainly package shredded iceberg lettuce. The salad dressing is the small generic travel packs. PLUS, they still smoke inside this place. Don’t waste your time or money.

Went here with some friends on a weekday night. Had a good time but mainly BC of the company. Food was fine so no complaint there but process were kind of higher than expected for your typical bar food. My drink tab came out more than expected as well even though I only ordered 2 drinks. I should have found out how much it cost before ordering. Bartender was nice enough but catered more towards regulars or her friends. They do allow smoking and you have to pay for shuffle board to play…

Been here many times, but today was my last. After leaving the waitress $ 4.00 on a $ 23.00 bill, I was chased into the parking lot by the waitress who felt she was justified in confronting me on undertipping her. First of all, tipping is optional. Second, I tipped her very nearly 20%. And to be chased into the parking lot to be confronted about it. That is insane behavior and should not be acceptable behavior towards customers. I didn’t consider the service to be exceptional to the point that I felt she was entitled to a tip greater than the 18-ish percentage that I left her. I am shocked that management would allow an employee to behave like this, but no worries — I will no longer be a customer, and will recommend the same to others.

Really conflicted about this review, so much so that I may even ask about it in a talk thread but here goes… Ate here for lunch yesterday at the suggestion of a coworker. There were three of us — all three ordered the tuna salad special. Them with salads, me with fries :-). All three agreed that it was some of the best tuna salad we have ever put in our mouths. Cant speak for the salads, but my fries were natural cut and cooked perfectly crispy. The server was friendly, helpful, and our drinks never went below half full. Why the two stars, you may say? Well, they are a smoking place. The bar was packed with people kicking off the long weekend early by smoking and drinking. I detest smoking enough that I would not have agreed to eat here had I known there was even a possibility. As much as I enjoyed the food, I left with smelly hair, smelly clothes, full sinuses and a cough so it really wasn’t worth it and I probably won’t be back.

Lunch today was my first visit. But, I’ve spoken with a couple of friends who have been here, and had piqued my interest with their respective assessments. I’ll be back. I went with the 8 oz bleu cheese and bacon burger, medium rare. My friend ordered his burger well. The cook, perhaps trying to get the timing of the orders to balance out, slightly overcooked mine and undercooked his. That said, it was still a tasty burger. Plenty of bacon and blue cheese. Still reasonably juicy. I dig a place with the shuffleboard table. I’ll definitely have to come back for that when I have more time. Also a pool table and some dart boards. TVs, too. It is a bar. There is smoking. I won’t wear a suit next time.

I really liked this spot. a bit off the beaten track but then that is where all the adventures occur. Swung by with some coworkers for lunch as one had a meeting post lunch in the area. Food was good(I had a salad. hey quit judging me!) and a bourbon(see I told you to stop judging me) while my coworkers split a pulled pork sandwich and some fries(feel free to judge them).heck one even had a water. I was embarrassed for them. Good drink selection. although I always prefer when a bar has the liquor listed somewhere so i can peruse at my leisure(I do NOT want to peek over the bar at the well). Crowd seemed quiet at lunch time but the venue is perfect for some pregaming before heading into city or a mid week night out(darts, pool, shuffle board and friendly waitstaff).

I came in here while out of town on business. This was the closest place to the hotel that allowed smoking. I wanted a cigar and some conversation and maybe some food. Thank god for the cigar, because the Bar Maid was clearly more interested in texting than talking to customers or serving food. The juke box was old and worthless not a Supertramp song in sight. The ATM didn’t work. After I tried several times on the ATM a «brad pitt» type walked over to give it a shot. This got the inattentive bar maid off her stool. She rushed over and told the gentlemen that the ATM might not be working. WTF! Ah well. I had heard the food was good here but the bar maid never even offered a menu. I was clearly putting her out by walking in. I will do better off by ordering some room service when I get back to the hotel. Oh yea, She had a spray can of Mace attached to her belt loop. Don’t get her mad! To top it all of I was going to have one more beer(only my second) and waited very patiently for 5 minutes while she texted. I then put my bottle back down on the bar so she might be able to hear it. She rolled her eyes and made a comment to the guys she was sitting with. Really? This is the first 1 star I have ever given. What a waist of a good space. Get a new juke box, fix the ATM and perhaps a new bartender. The Bar is a nice set up. Good luck.

There’s not much to say about this hole-in-the-wall joint other than the staff were very friendly, the service was prompt and the food was really good and reasonably priced. I only stopped in here for a quick lunch before a meeting and it was the Unilocal reviews that got my attention. I will gladly return and enjoy lunch here again.

If you are looking for a little hole in the wall bar & grill… you cant beat Dave’s World Famous. I have been a regular there for many years and very seldom am I disappointed. The typical crowd that ventures to Dave’s is local folks, local business folks and Maryville students. It can occassionaly be crowded but the bartenders are pretty good about getting to you. The drinks are dirt cheap as well and in good portions. They have dart board, shuffleboard, pool, electronic games, golden tee and jukebox. The food there is also really good especially the TJ’s pizza they serve. Overall if you are looking for a decently quiet place to just chill and watch sport highlights Dave’s is your place.
