i would not recommend going through this company for anything. Its nothing but a headache to deal with them. The salesman Bill tells nothing but lies to make a sale and after you sign the contract he doesn’t return calls. The workmanship of the fence is good but needed to have someone else come and fix the boo boo’s that the first crew made. The last payment they decided to make it higher without telling me and when i called to ask why they couldn’t come up with a logical reason. If you want to deal with a pain in the ass company then you should have them do the work.

I had several tall rotten deck support posts replaced by Chesterfield Fence and Deck in early November. The crew showed up on the arranged day, without posts long enough to complete the job. They were professional about it, and were able to return later the same day after obtaining new posts. The crew was excellent, and were very personable. Post installation looks great overall.
The only problem is that at the end of the day, we were told that someone would be back to remove the cardboard concrete tubes and temporary support structure in a few days, once the concrete had a chance to cure. Unfortunately, it has been 6 weeks, and nobody has returned to complete the job. Rainwater was collecting inside the cardboard tubes and soaking the new brackets and posts — exactly the reason to replace the posts and add above-​grade concrete pillars in the first place. A phone call did not get a return call from the installers. I ended up removing the cardboard tubes and temporary supports myself — not what you expect when you pay a few thousand dollars to have posts replaced professionally.

Chesterfield Fence & Deck installed our beautiful screen deck. The sales person, Keith was helpful with giving different options and did not pressure us to make a quick decision. The installers did a great job and kept the job site reasonably clean each day. The only issue was that it took a little longer than expected, but I would still recommend.

They should be ashamed. I called 5 places Saturday because I need a custom chain link gate that’s about 19 feet wide 4 feet high (2 sections.) I received a quote, from Fence and Deck Depot for $ 370. Calling around like crazy I thought I was calling him back but instead called Chesterfield. The lady was confused (obviously because I didn’t talk to her or anyone there) and told me «whoa whoa whoa that price is too low, you sure you called here?»
She couldn’t even give me a price quote right away and had to call me back. While I was waiting I discovered I had talked to someone and Fence and Deck Depot, once she called I explained that and then tried to have her justify WHY their markup is so high compared to the other guys, she couldn’t answer and told me to just go with them. Which I gladly am.
Her quote $ 1,200 = insane
Fence and Deck Depot –$ 370 = reasonable
For a 10 foot gate at lowes (Two 5 foot panels-​$ 123) Lowes usually has a markup of 40%.
Let’s figure Chesterfield’s is similar that’s like a 750% markup!!!
Which in my book, is robbery!
They’re crooks, unbelievable.
If you want to save some SERIOUS money go anywhere but here. The sad thing is, there’s prolly a lot of wealthy people in the area that go there because they simply don’t know better, or don’t care, so if that’s you and you like to waste money, then go for it! If not, do your research! also 3 other places were all a lot lower in price, but FDD was the most helpful.

I have hired Chesterfield Fence for two years in a row to install and then modify my cedar fence. They were awesome to work with… they made it as easy as possible for me and kept in constant communication. I would use them again, but as my beautiful fence is now complete, I don’t think I will be able to do so!

Just had vinyl fence installed. First version was beautiful but didn’t keep tiny dog on the right side. Company fixed fence and exceeded expectations. Awesome product and professional staff.
