I don’t know how the DQ next door stays in business with Taylor’s around. The homemade ice cream here just can’t be beat. There are so many wonderful flavors to choose from and I like that they offer a variety of sizes and cones.

Wanted a milkshake on the way home from Bushkill and found this place along the way. So glad to have stopped here. Home made ice cream and friendly service. It doesn’t get any better than that!

A little pricey, but really good ice cream. «Superman» is a favorite of one of our kids; bubblegum was a bit yucky at first but the gum turned out to be okay, for a few minutes anyway. Their soft serve vanilla is much better than DQ.

Love Taylor’s ice cream! It is an absolute staple. The owners are sweet and funny, the employees are always engaging and prompt and the prices are reasonable. Ice cream is to die for, birthday cake and death by chocolate are two of my favorites. You can order a pint or quart of any flavor to go. The cakes are beautiful and custom! I wouldn’t go anywhere else in the area for ice cream. Also, they just re-did their interior and it’s very clean and old-fashioned looking, I really like what they did with the space.

I don’t know how you can give this place anything BUT5 stars. How many independently owned little ice cream shops are left in this country? Not too many. The ice cream is excellent. The staff is always friendly, high school aged kids. I worked in a Baskin Robbins when I was in high school, 30 years ago. Where is Baskin Robbins today? Carvel? Exactly.

First visit. Cute place. Good service. The soft chocolate gives Denville Diary a run for its money. After further analysis(eating more ice cream) Denville Dairy is safe, not to take anything g away from Taylor’s. Which is still very good

Middle of winter, chilly air, drizzling precip, and a craving for a… milkshake? Good thing Taylor’s was open and nearby, bypassing the need to make a DQ trip. We walked in shortly before dinnertime to an empty house. I went the vanilla shake route; my friend got devil’s food chocolate in a sugar cone. We sat down at one of the tables, enjoying the nice heat that was combatting the frozen stuff we were consuming, and watched as family after family joined us. Soon, all seats in the place were full. In February. I can only imagine how it is in the summer. I also hear they had a fire about a year ago and rebuilt to look nearly exactly the same. That’s pretty great and shows how strong and resilient they are as a local Chester business! Prices are also fair. My shake was under $ 5, which is pretty on par, I think. I wish I lived nearby, as they sell some high-quality ice cream in pretty much any flavor you could so desire. They also sell ice cream cakes.

I grew up in Gladstone, NJ which is right down the street from Chester where Taylor’s is. This place honestly brings back some of my happiest memories as a kid. I always used to get and still do get the same thing, every single time I go here: Smurf milkshake. Its marshmallow flavored ice cream with chocolate chips. It looks exactly like mint chocolate chip, except blue in color. The décor in the place is great also. The walls are covered with real retro college banners and those triangular flag things that were popular back in the day. All the ice cream is homemade and just great. Rum raisin is another great flavor. I live at the shore now but I still keep making the hour long trip. That’s how good this place is. Make sure you try it out asap. Note: There was a fire in February but they will be back open the second week of September.

We all hope that you overcome the fire damage and can reopen soon. Spring evenings in Chester are just not the same without your wonderful shop. Best wishes.

After filling up on fresh picked apples from Riamede or picking fresh berries at Alstede, of course the next order of business would be lunch and ice cream. I’ve gotta tell you, I like ice cream(you don’t get a great body like this from eating salads) and I don’t play around when I review ice cream joints. The ice cream here at Taylor’s has always been excellent-very creamy and very flavorful without being overly sweet. During the summer the place gets packed, but stopping here after picking fresh berries and adding them to your ice cream… is so damn good. I’ve had nothing but great ice cream here and I’ve probably tried 8 – 10 different flavors. The store is a lot less crazy in the Fall, so going after apple picking is a nice treat. Heard they had a fire here recently so I hope they can put things back together again, because they simply make great ice cream here. The staff here are always great and I would hate for them to be without jobs… Hope to see you all this summer!

Great homemade ice-cream. So good it’s still well despite a Dairy Queen 100 feet away(there is a place for both IMHO). Definitely stop in if you’re in town.

Really not original, and doesn’t really taste too good. Go to the Dairy Queen near here instead.

This place is soooo cute and its sooo delicious too! I happened to be in NJ on vacation and we came across this cute little ice cream parlor. Honestly some of the best Ice cream I have ever had. It was super cozy too, like old fashioned and happy. Although it was chilly outside, i just could not pass up a nice cool ice cream scoop of delicious home made ice cream.

Stopped in here on one of the last warm days of the summer. 40 different flavors, waffle cones, sundaes and floats! Yum! All of the ice cream is handmade and they give you the cone in a fancy plastic holder that collects all the drips so you don’t get stick fingers. Love it! Try the Grasshopper, mint ice cream with fudge and brownie chunks. What I seriously didn’t appreciate… the bad attitude of the girl behind the counter and the fact that she grabbed my cone with her BAREHAND! There has to be some sanitation law against touching MY food with your questionably clean hands. –2 stars for that.

Great Ice Cream here! Homemade, reasonably priced and lots of flavors to choose from. The anti-drip cone holder is a real bonus especially if it is hot, if you have young kids or you are eating while in the car! The atmosphere is old-fashioned neighborhood ice cream parlor. The service is always good. Even when it is crowded, the line moves well and the girls behind the counter are always friendly and not frazzled. Not sure why anyone would go to the Dairy Queen a couple of doors down when they could come to Taylor’s.
