The sandwiches here are fantastic. Everything from the bread to the veggies is fresh and delicious. Their Turkey Club w/avocado on sourdough, Grilled Chicken on herb focaccia, and Chicken Salad sandwiches are the standouts for me. Don’t hesitate to try one of their individual carrot cakes or oatmeal raisin cookies with cranberries and chocolate chunks. The staff is always friendly and accommodating, too. Highly recommend this place for a quick bite or a catering order.

Came to the town of Chester to walk the quaint shops in the area and stopped here for lunch. They have ample seating outside with some round white clothed tables and outdoor chairs. Order and pay first inside at the small little deli like counter and they give you a number placard to place on any of the tables outside or seating inside anywhere in the house that has a table and a seat. The house itself has plenty of antiques in the various rooms to look at and makes you feel like you have stepped back in the past some decades ago. The staff is super friendly and helpful. There was plenty of selections to choose from; quiches to salads to sandwiches. I had the curry chicken salad which was delicious and fresh. Everyone’s sandwich looked really big and good too. They serve the food to you on plateware so I was glad that they gave me a plastic container to go when I couldn’t finish my salad. I would definitely come back here for lunch if I am ever In the neighborhood. Fresh and good food and excellent service!

I tried to have lunch here… I saw people eating outside, so I assumed that someone was working inside. I stood in the café for several minutes, then went upstairs to where the indoor seating is supposed to be, thinking maybe the person working in the café was talking to customers after bringing them food. Nobody was up there. I eventually went over to the furniture side, and someone came over to get behind the counter. They didn’t understand what«can I have this sandwich but without the cheese» meant after asking three times, so I left.

Had lunch here with my husband. We both got sandwiches. They were both incredibly fresh and delicious and creative. The whole menu(sandwiches, soup, salad, quiche) looked wonderful, it was a hard choice. Tempting baked goods as well. We sat on porch outside, overlooking Main Street, they have indoor seating as well. We will return soon. Highly recommended!

Limited menu but everything is delicious. Chicken salad is excellent. Beet salad on greens with apple slices, goat cheese and fig dressing is wonderful. Soups and loaves of bread delivered fresh are good too.

This is a delightful café with beautiful gourmet sandwiches, cheeses, deserts and sodas, housed inside a quirky antique shop that I’m sure could provide hours of fun in itself. I’m almost embarrassed to admit that I’m one of those people who comes out to Chester a couple of times a year with my kids to pick pumpkins, apples, etc. The kids always look forward to the hay tunnel and pony rides, but Dadda’s reward is lunch at Once Upon A Table. If I lived near Chester, I suspect I’d be in here every week.
