Bella Salon & Spa

I am so excited to have found my new salon! I recently moved here and since I have been getting my hair done at the same place for the past 10 years, I was very nervous about a new place. Bella was amazing! The place is beautiful and smells so good! Everyone was very friendly and accommodating and Shannon gave me the exact haircut I wanted. I can’t wait for my next trip to Bella!

I have been to Bella on and off for 5 years! I had to stop going when I moved to Lancaster for college and then NYC. Funny thing is, I still come home to go here when I can! I have had a few of the stylist because unfortunately due to my schedule I have to go to different girls sometimes, but each time my experience is great. Valerie and Morgan I have used plenty of times and they are both AMAZING! great, great salon and the girls are extremely nice.

Three stars for the owner contacting me. Very nice of her to do so, however, I now live 7 ½ hours away. Kudos for her gesture.

For the last few years, I’ve been hauling my butt all the way from New York City to Chester Springs, PA just to have Nina work her magic on my tresses. Let me put this in perspective for you… I’m talking two subways, a bus, a train and then a ride… over THREE HOURS of travel! THAT’S how amazing she is! The salon is located in this gorgeous old Victorian house that looks like it came out of a fairy tale book. Everything IN the salon is set up to make you feel decadent and pampered… including the complimentary tea, coffee, soda and wine (woop woop!). It takes a long time to do my hair (I have a LOT of it!), so I’m usually there for a few hours each time and have gotten a chance to chat with most of the people who work there. Everyone is so friendly and clearly loves what they are doing. I have never seen a single person walk out of there without that «I love my new hair» glow. GO! IMMEDIATELY!

I got a terrible haircut from this place about 3 years ago, one of the WORST I have ever been unfortunate enough to have in my life. It was a jagged, choppy ugly mess and took forever to grow out. The stylist’s named was Richie, I believe, if memory serves me correct.
DON’T go here. It is one of the worst hair salons I’ve ever been to. The décor and the place itself is OK, but the styling is horrible and you’ll regret going!
(And if you do decide to go, just know, don’t ask for Richie.)

Yes! A salon in the area that is doing it right! After a very bad experience at another local salon, I needed to fix what had been broken. I went to Bella and knew when I walked into the place that this was the real deal. No cheap crap for sale, good Bumble and Bumble products neatly arranged, a slightly edgy feel, and fully-​furnished.
It is located in an old house off Route 100 and the little decorative touches are awesome — for instance — the hair dryers are mounted into antique light sconces and hung from the ceiling like chandeliers at each station. I know that doesn’t mean they give good haircuts, but having little details executed so slickly gives me reassurance that these folks care about what they are doing. It is really cozy there, but with an edge so you don’t feel like you’re at your grandma’s salon.
Katie Robatto was my stylist and she took one look at the lion’s mane mess from the «other» salon (see my review of Balance:
) and said — we can fix this. She explained how the other cut was not shaped right for my curly hair and she set about skillfully shaping my hair into a great cut. She touched up my color with a gloss and she was fun to chat with while all this was going on. She did not push product on me and when I left — I looked and felt great. I cannot recommend her enough and she really understands hair! I felt back to my old self after being in Katie’s skilled hands.
