Waited ~25 min for two items: chicken salad wrap($ 9.95) and chicken(cutlet) honey mustard sangwich($ 8.95). During my time there, there were 6 or 7 customers total; I was 3rd. The other 5 – 6 people were all served well before me – even the two who came in 10+ minutes later. Sangwich maker(owner?) was obviously overwhelmed: she put incorrect sangwich in one person’s order, causing her to have to remake another person’s order. In addition, when I was finally served, neither item was correct: the chicken cutlet honey mustard sangwich was chopped up into a wrap(which I heard someone else order) and my chicken salad wrap had morphed into a flank steak sangwich – which wasn’t even on the menu. Also got a side of mac n cheese($ 6.90). The two sangwiches were tasty, although it obviously would have been nice to try what I ordered. Mac n chz was meh – don’t think I’d get again. Overall, $ 29(with tip) for the three items was a bit pricey(errors notwithstanding) but not overly so. Food was solid and owner/staff friendly, greeting everyone who walked in. Owner offered water or bag o chips to compensate for the wait(I took latter), which was nice of her. I assume this experience was an aberration d/t all the great reviews, but thought it was worth pointing out with a review as that many f-ups in that short a timeframe is disappointing. Hopefully next trip is better:)

Yummy! I had a salmon avocado wrap which was yummy! The homemade empanadas were great too. The wait time was reasonable for lunch hour and was filling up with people as I left. The staff was also very nice. I plan to return when I’m in the area!

5 stars for Sweetpea — based on Maria alone. What a sweetheart. We loved her! We were traveling in Cheshire for work and needed a quick lunch before heading out so we stopped by based upon Unilocal reviews. Maria came out and introduced herself personally to each of us and told us a bit about her background and what she had to offer that day. She was so accommodating and helped us pick out some of her signature items. I went with the Sweetpea Salad which was great(and colorful!). She really knows how to mix things up with fresh ingredients and new takes on classic items. After chatting with her for a while, she brought us one of her signature coconut chocolate chip cookies to sample(I could have eaten 75 of them right there). Delicious! I will absolutely be returning to support this local business. You should too!

I treat myself to this at least once a week. It’s so good, almost everything I’ve tried I’ve enjoyed thoroughly, and Maria is so extremely friendly that I always feel welcome not just as a customer but as a friend, even though our interactions are almost exclusively with a counter between us. Downsides? It’s a bit pricey, which means that it’s not a more regular stop for me. The service can be a bit slow at times– it’s a small place with a staff that does great work but sometimes it takes a while when it gets crowded. And the mac and cheese that I tried from the cooler was bland and tasteless– perhaps prepackaged and transfered over to the smaller containers for sale?- so I’m wondering about some of the other grab-and-go offerings there(the sides, I mean, not anything that makes or breaks a meal, or the more complete offerings in the case). All in all I love this place and just wish I could afford to go there more often.

After hearing wonderful things about Seeetpea, I finally went there today. It was very clear that most of the customers there were repeat customers because the owner greeted them personally and as one gentleman was leaving with lunch for him and his wife, I heard him say«See you tomorrow!» I got the steak and blue panini which was delicious! Stuffed with tender flank steak and the onions were grilled to perfection. It was Empanada Friday and while I didn’t get one, they looked golden and plump full of chicken and cheese. I brought home a container of chicken salad for tomorrow’s lunch and a little taste told me it was fresh and full of chicken meat. The menu changes daily and it was difficult to chose from today’s menu — everything looked great.(Tilapia on plantains –what??). I’m hoping for years of success for this local gem. I’ll be back — often!

Growing up in Cheshire it was always such a bummer there wasn’t anywhere decent in town to grab a nice sandwich or salad. Now when I come home I always stop into Sweet Pea to grab a hearty salad or panini for a satisfying lunch where you can taste the quality of the ingredients. I am super picky with take out and this is truly top notch. Only downside is it can be slow if you stop in and place your order and it’s not exactly cheap. Overall great addition to the seriously lacking food choices in town if you don’t want to eat pizza 7 days a week.

Just picked up some empanadas. They were really tasty and you can tell everything in the place is handmade with love and care. I’m excited to go back and try some of their other offerings.

I’ve noticed a steady decline over the past year, and realized ownership had changed recently. I ordered basil chicken pesto and was given chicken with cilantro because apparently they ran out of chicken. I stopped by again today to give them one more shot and lo and behold, they are out of chicken AGAIN! The food used to be good, but they just don’t seem to care about the details anymore, or stocking their supplies either.

I am so glad that I gave this place a second chance. I went back today for lunch and it was great. I had the teriyaki stir fry bowl and it was wonderful. The owner Maria was so kind and nice, I will differently go back for other meals. Thanks again for everything Maria. Great food!

I LOVESWEETPEA!!! The food here is always fresh delicious. The best part is that they have a different menu almost every day. Monday’s are usually Market Monday’s where most of the ingredients have been purchased at the farmers market. Then there are Healthy Tuesday’s or Taco Tuesday’s, Seafood Wednesday’s, Burrito Thursday’s, and Empanada Fridays! I mean what mor can you ask for? On top of that, the case is always stocked with fresh made desserts like key lime tarts, peanut butter cookies, macaroons and other types of baked goods. I would definitely recommend a visit to Sweet Pea, you won’t regret it!

We stopped here after a hike at Sleeping Giant State Park, and were so glad we did! Maria greeted us as though we were old friends, and she were welcoming us into her home. The food is really fresh, and they are very proud of the ingredients they use – where the bread comes from, the seafood, etc. I had the shrimp panini on ciabatta and it was absolutely delicious – fresh and not ‘fishy’ shrimp, ciabatta toasted to perfection with a bit of spicy mayo. My son had the grilled chicken salad with freshly grilled veggies that was tossed with a delicious balsamic dressing that was just right. The place is small and there are only two tables, one for two people and one for two-six, but we came at an off time and sat at the big table, and admired a beautiful charcoal sketch of some South Carolinian women while we waited for our food to be served. Prices are fair, and worth it – lunch for two was about $ 31 with coffee, two entrees, two waters and two cookies(also made from scratch). These Ecuadorian women have brought their wonderful culinary talents to CT, and want to share it with everyone – they got game, let me tell you!

I’m new to town and so excited to see a great, fresh fast place to get lunch. I’ve tried a few different things now, and I’ve been happy with all of them, especially the taco Tuesdays. The staff is friendly and the chef/owner is very caring, involved and interested to know what people think of her food. Overall, this is a very solid place, and I hope that it finds success.

Yum, this was a great find. Really accommodating to lots of dietary needs. Had a portobello hummus wrap that was great. Small tables to eat at and cute items for sales(yay used cookbooks on the cheap!). Enjoy. Warning, no bathrooms for customers.

This place is great! The food and service are wonderful. They are flexible, so if you want a tweak to the menu item, they will probably make it happen for you. My colleagues and I will be back. I can’t wait.

Ordered a flank steak sandwich which took a literal 10 minutes to make via microwave. With a ridiculous price to boot its needless to say I won’t be going back.

Stopped in here on a whim for lunch today and I was pleasantly surprised! Not much to look at from the outside, but my mushroom confit & goat cheese panini was phenomenal! The staff are extremely friendly, helpful & welcoming. I will definitely make it a habit to stop here when I’m in the area at lunch time! Can’t wait to try the empanadas.

Got takeout from here today. Just delicious. Owner was there, she’s adorable! I would take her home with me! It’s a tale out place. Only reason I didn’t do five stars is because there’s only two tables. Food should get ten. She’s got serious talent.
