Rodgers’ Banana Pudding Sauce is a retro store. The store is most famous for its retro banana pudding sauce. You open the jar, stir, and add to your layered bananas and wafers.

You can sample a mini banana pudding dessert, flavored pudding shots (Coconut rum, butter rum, bourbon whiskey, etc), and their refreshing Tropical Delight salad. The store also has retro candies and gift items.

History

Established in 2008.

As a child, I loved banana pudding. I couldn’t wait to get home from school or wait in the kitchen (on Saturday) before my mom started making it because she would let me lick the spoon and pot. When I joined the Navy, got married, and had a family, I wanted to continue the tradition with my family. So, when we were stationed in San Diego, I got this mad craving for mom’s banana pudding. I called mom to get her recipe. This was the start of me being known as the Banana Pudding Man. People wanted and expected me to bring a banana pudding to every function. After serving 26 years in the Navy, I retired as a Senior Chief Quartermaster in 2003. In 2008, my youngest daughter, Gin-​Gin, who had good memories of sitting around the counter with her sister, Riza, watching and impatiently waiting while I stirred the pudding sauce or custard, so they too could lick the spoon, made the suggestion that we should start a banana pudding business by putting the pudding into a jar.
