Delicious and fast service! They are always busy the staff always acknowledges you as soon as you walk through the door! Very generous with French fries and the burgers are so tasty. Sometimes if it takes too long to get home the bottom bun is a little soggy since they wrap them in foil but I recommend the bacon cheeseburger all the way! You won’t regret it!

I love there burgers and was glad when they built one here in chesapeake but I feel the service has gone Down over the last year. The service is a little slower and it isn’t as clean inside as it used to be.

For two people you will spend about 20 dollars for two Jr. sized burgers and a medium fry and a drink… but don’t be misled by the«Jr» because even the Jr is a good sized burger packed with great flavor! What I like about this place(besides just the burgers being great if your in a burger mood), is that it’s always clean, always filled with workers that seem to actually enjoy their jobs and also have this great laid back feel about them… you just feel like you get what you paid for! The peanuts you can eat while you wait I could give or take and doesn’t matter much to me, but the kids always seems to be entertained by it… so that’s a nice little bonus right there when you have kids with. On the night we came, I was exhausted from BJ’s shopping and it was an off time and not very busy. My husband and I had a quick little date/dinner with 80’s hair band music blending into the background… kinda blares in the bathroom though… ouch! LOL All in all, a great ending to our night! Good food and perfect company with my wonderful husband/best friend! Thanks Five Guys!!!

This place has great burgers & even better fries! The selection is simple, but I’m guessing that’s how they keep the quality so great. I’ve never gotten cold food here, everything is made fresh right when you order it. Also, the people here are super warm & friendly. I’m always welcomed with a smile & they seem genuinely happy to be there & to help you. I don’t eat much fast food, but when I do Five Guys is at the top of my list. :) You won’t regret giving this place a try.

It’s a good place for a burger & fries. If you’ve never been to Five Guys be aware that you get a big order of fries when you order the regular size. They also have a large variety of toppings for your burger without additional charge.

Put a couch in here and I would hang just for the Music! I guess they are interested in making money too. The Burgers are back homestyle and loaded with toppings. The black line is standard so you can just take out what you dont want. Red line is the Extras. A family can hit off a Regular order of fries and couple or three of a small order. Real Men you know how you are so do what you got to do. A Regular Burger is 2 patties and a Little Burger is 1. You can also get Cajun Spice for the fries which is kind of like old bay with a kick. They can do it or you can mix yourself. Just put fries in a bag and shake it up. Drinks are the new fancy million variety version which are good but can slow the beverage process down especially when you just want a refill. You can get free peanuts while you wait. If you have a peanut allergy you already know what you can and cant tolerate, so heads up. Staff here is on top of it. Stays clean and simple. Btw did I say the music rocks? Have fun! Good place to for family but a little pricy so pay attention when ordering.

I was skeptical coming here the first time. Anytime there is a lot of hype about something, I am skeptical. This place lives up to it’s hype! I love the bacon cheeseburger with fries. I always get it with everything, and add grilled jalapenos. The price is higher than your typical fast food burger joint, but you get what you pay for. Their fries are always fresh and plentiful. They have a sign that tells you what farm the potatoes are from that day. This location has the fancy touchscreen soft drink dispenser, which definitely adds to the cool factor, especially if you have kids. Speaking of kids my 6 year old ordered the hotdog, he normally has trouble biting a hotdog with bun, but here they cut the dog in half lengthwise, making a flatter, easier to eat sandwich. We do it that way at home now, thanks 5 guys!

This was my first time venturing into a 5 guys. The staff was all smiles and cheerful, seemed as though they wanted to be working. The store was actually really clean considering its a fast food joint. The burger and fries where great, huge portions so I don’t think I’ll be here everyday but I will definitely be back.

I know people rave about this place, it’s pretty good. I’m no burger connoisseur, but they’re pretty tasty. They have tons of veggies to add on to the burger which is what I really like. Lettuce, tomatoes, and onions just don’t cut it. Make sure when you order, just to order one fry. Trust me, it’s plenty for two people. They’re not the best fries I’ve ever had, but they are decent. The selling point for me is the service. They always welcome you when you come in. They are constantly cleaning tables and every time ask you if you are okay or need something. It’s always nice to get the feeling they really want your business. There peanuts to be shelled, that’s definitely not my thing, but my husband always tries to take some home with him. I think it’s definitely worth it.

We have been big fans of Five Guys for several years now. Love the burgers and fries and the addition of the new soda machines is awesome. My kids love mixing up their own concoctions. The service at this location is excellent. My only complaint is the music is always way too loud.

Yum, made to order and with all the toppings of your choice. The fries are just OK… you definitely get your money’s worth because the size is HUGE. There is no «value» menu, or meal deals. Everything is separate, and for that reason I took off one star. I guess it’s about the same price as an extra value menu on the Wendy’s menu when you really look at it though.

I came to Five Guys Burgers today while out doing some errands. I first noticed the place was spotless clean. I also was greeted by several employees. The cook asked if he could start some burgers while the person that does the register gets back to the register. I ordered a few burgers and a fries. I got lots of the goodies on the burgers — cheese, mushrooms, onions, lettuce, tomato, pickle and A1 sauce. The wait was not too long — they cook them to order. There were free peanuts in the shell to have while waiting. I found the service good and enjoyed my visit. I took the burgers home and my wife and I enjoyed them very much. The fries were plentiful and delicious. This place is not cheap — it was around 18 bucks for 2 big burgers and a fries. The food was great and it is cheaper than going to Red Robin. I’ll be back here again soon.

I haven’t been to Five Guys in a while. Still the best burgers with fries than any place around VA Beach. People say why do people go to McDonald’s when there is a Five Guys, well, price. It is more expensive to eat here 2 people sharing a fries and drink is around 17 – 19 dollars. McDonald’s would be around 10 – 12 dollars with their own drink and fries. I still pick this place over any fast food joint. I love the free peanuts also. You used to be able to crack and throw on floor, but it seems like people don’t do that anymore since there were none on the floor. Oh well, still awesome place and now they have this new soda machine that is all computerized and adds different flavors to your drink. It is like touch screen. Very cool addition :)

Although I am told that there are comparable chains in other places around the country(In-and-Out Burger comes to mind) Five Guys is the standard to which I judge any other burger experience that I have. What can be said about Five Guys that has not been said before? Hot, freshly made food; you can stand there and watch it happen. No pre-cooked, microwaved, hot box garbage that you get from the national chains. McDonald’s, BK, and the rest, should go to Five Guys and learn how it is supposed to be done. If you walk out of Five Guys hungry, it is your own damned fault. The stories about bags stuffed full of fries are true. And a ‘little’ burger is a meal. The ‘regular’ burger is not for the faint of heart. And, rumor has it, they also serve dogs, though I have never gotten past the ‘little’ cheeseburger to order one. Aside from a couple of the local mom and pops(What-a-burger in Newport News and Smitty’s in Hampton) No other burger places in Tidewater, that I am aware of, can hold a candle to Five Guys. I always give the cooks behind the counter, the same compliment, when I leave: How in the hell does McDonald’s stay in business? Highly recommended @Removeyourhat

It’s a Five Guys. They’re all good! Friendly. Fast. Fairly reasonably priced. Just get a regular fry… they add a pile of extra to the bag, and it’d be hard to eat it all!

This place reminds me of the«IN-N-Out«burger place when I used to live in california. The burger are fried fresh and the stuffings are made to order. They also have roasted peanuts to eat for free, while you wait for your order. I do recommend just ordering the regular fries for yourself. I made the mistake of getting the large and found out it could feed 3 or more people.

What’s the best remedy for a night of drinking in excess. Give up? A burger and fries. Not just any burger and fries — Five Guys burgers and fries. I woke up Saturday morning with a craving for something greasy that would coat my arteries until the hangover passed. Hello Five Guys. YUMYUMYUM. It may have been the hangover, but considering the crowd in the place, I’d venture to say it was the awesomeness of the food and not just my need for bread and grease and Cajun fries to ease the Bacardi pain. DELICIOUS. Independent of the influence of alcohol this place is hands down super. You can’t lose(unless you’re a vegetarian)

WOW. Visited Virginia last weekend and went here with my family. I love the way the place looks. It is a very inviting place to go to. You can see all the people cooking. I love that they have free peanuts while you wait for your food. They have custom toppings to choose from but I still like getting the basic cheeseburger. It was such a great burger. so good i found out they have a location here in san diego. Great place and one of the best burgers i have had.

Hits the spot when you’re craving the real thing — no McDonald’s-type fabricated patties here. These are big hunks of burger customized with the toppings of your choice(even A-1 or jalapenos!). If you’ve never been: they only serve burgers and fries and drinks. No shakes, no chicken patties or fish filets. I made the mistake of ordering the first burger I saw on the menu which is actually 2 patties. Good stuff but I woulda been fine with what they call a «little burger». Also, help yourself to the complimentary peanuts while you wait for them to cook up your order!
