Experience Olive and Grapes Fusti Bar

I accidentally found this store while waiting for a table in an nearby restaurant. At first I was skeptical about a store that sells olive oil and vinegar almost exclusively, but they made me a believer and I have been back many times. The shop staff are very helpful and knowledgeable and let you taste anything you like before buying it. Considering how expensive a good olive oil can be, trying it is really important. I don’t think I had ever had a truly good olive oil before coming here and I can really see the difference between those you find in the grocery store.
These oils and vinegars make outstanding gifts for anyone who enjoys cooking or eating good food. The have other little odds and ends that you could use to put together really nice gift baskets. The also host cooking demonstrations.
One thing they turned me on to was their butter flavored olive oil as a popcorn topper. Theirs is practically identical to the taste of real butter and so much healthier for you.

I have been frequenting this little gem since they first opened. The owner, Maggie, really has a passion for her oils and vinegars and it shows with the knowledge she shares. All of the products are of the highest quality and they also have quite a lot of local items! I have been to several of their cooking classes and always have a great time. You do need to sign up early as they always sell out! I have not even bought salad dressing since I’ve learned how to combine the vinegars and oils. They are so much better! You can tell a lot about a place by looking at the employees, and everyone that works there is knowledgeable and seems to enjoy their job!

My friend told me about this place, I’m glad I went to all the work of checking it out. The first time I went by they’d already closed at 10 after 6pm. Evidently the door signage announces winter hours, where they close an hour earlier than the Unilocal posted hours.
I came back the next day and was really excited with the staff member who helped me. They knew lots about their product and helped me find a delicious olive oil and two vinegars. It get pricey quick here, with the smallest bottles starting at $ 13. I’m looking forward to seeing how long they last me and if they stay fresh.

Also just to peek at all the goodies inside, though i visit Experience Grapes and Olive Fusti Bar at least once each time I’m in VA, for the food mostly! The greens trio enables you to select 3 from your numerous tasty greens choices within the situation. I Usually possess the Brussels sprout greens as well as the tuna fish greens, then blend it for my 3^rd option. The burrata with prosciutto is really a great inclusion, as well. My buddies like chinese people poultry greens. So we never ever keep with less than 3 sweets. Enjoy the outside seats for excellent individuals viewing.

Excellent! I visited this location close to them closing so I wasnt able to truly «experience» experience. But Glenda was there and was very helpful in telling me about the background of the place getting a feel on my likes and what I’ve used in my past and even allowing me to sample some of the items. I will definitely return when I have more time to browse.

Love this place. Been shopping here since they first opened! I make all of our salad dressings & marinades using their olive oils & balsamics! The staff is very knowledgeable & very friendly. They have great FB postings & genuinely seem to care about their customers!!!

A cool concept of different Olive oils and vinegars offering. Walking in you can smell the aromas of the olive oils, what a pleasant smell.
We were Greeted by 2 gentlemen that was knowledgeable of the origin of the oils, how it was made and how to pair it with food.
You can sample all the flavors before buying. Some of The olive oils were infused with truffles, lavenders, coconuts, and mango etc. The flavors are so potent that a little goes a long way. These are 100% olive oil and balsamic vinegars. Not the grocery store flavors, you can taste the difference!
Prices start at 200 ml for $ 13, that’s your best bang for your buck.
These also make great gifts!

The last one of these we visited we absolutely wonderful. Unfortunately it was in Abingdon, VA. so when we saw Experience Olive and Fusti Bar we were excited… more importantly we were not disappointed. There are at least 40 different oils to choose from but what I loved most about this place was the ability to get various sizes from 2 to 20 ounce bottles (or something like 20oz in size). The owner was very knowledgable and took the time to explain the nuances of the products.

This place has great variety of gourmet oils and vinegars ! They have some other exotic products as well. I just didn’t have the time to browse as much as I wanted. Back home in California there was a place similar to this that I went to all the time. I was so excited to find this place today and I will definitely be back again soon !
