Neat place — three covered picnic areas, playground including one for little kids, swings, hill for kids to roll off of, trail in the woods. We didn’t explore all areas since it got cold outside. Dog park consistently had dogs playing, not a time we were there for an hour that there were no dogs. Plenty parking, clean restrooms. Great area for kids!

I usually just end up passing through this park on my bike rides to the Dismal Swamp Trail as it is connected to Sawyer’s Mill. I do enjoy taking my 2.5 year old nephew and he always has a blast. Although the park is fairly new, it does seem that its well maintained. Dedicated restrooms as opposed to porta potties are always a bonus. I definitely recommend walking the paths.
