AJ Gator’s Sports Bar & Grill

I had the pork with potato wedges and green beans. The pork came with two pieces on the plate and were large portions. I did not finish it off. The meal was a bargain for under $ 12. The potato wedges and greens Very good. The thick parts of the pork were slightly under cooked for my liking. Very good service on a busy night.

I’ve never been to AJ Gators before and I was a little iffy when I went. I was craving wings at the time so I got that with fries and ranch. Let me just tell you about their ranch… it is THE best ranch in the whole world. I would just go and get ranch to be honest. Lol.

Nice place with very friendly service. Crab cake sandwich was good and a real bargain. They really need to add an ODU flag to the others that are hanging up!

I went here last Thursday to watch the ODU NIT game, was meeting some friends there. My family and I showed up around 7:10, they had already ordered food. About 10 mins go by and a shorter Asian girl came and got our drink order. We waited another 5 mins and was able to put our food order, 18 wings, French fries, a sandwich and nachos. After what seemed like eternity, my girlfriend talked to the bartender. We weren’t sure if our waitress left, we hadn’t seen her. The bartender went to find her and she came over a few mins later. When we asked where our food was, she said the kitchen was backed up and it should be up soon. The only busy part was the bar, half of the tables were empty! For a Thursday night at 8pm, it shouldn’t take over an hour for some wings, fries, sandwich and nachos. We decided against waiting any longer and left. I have been to many of the other Gators and the service is much better, even on a busy weekend night!

Decent restaraunt but servers could be much better… Most of them seem either vengeful for their current occupational status or just simply lack charisma and professionalism. Yep, I’m talkin’ about you Nikki, very lackluster performance and trying to get a better tip by giving me a fake number??? Really? Guess who is never visiting this place again. 0 class, i regret giving you a much undeserved 40% tip. I feel bamboozled by a very average looking waitress who i thought could use a «pick me up» since you looked so down and depressed. If you feel bad and want to apologize my number is 012−345−6789.
PS. the new waitress Carly is good and seems like a nice person who wouldn’t pull that crap. Hire more like her and hike up her paycheck cus i said so. Im actually the CEO… A. J Gator himself. And yes im a real person, not an alligator. Lets step up our game people or I’ll fire all your asses!

Great venue for bands! Went for the first time last night. not too loud… great staff and really chill. Loved it.

I usually stop by on Thursdays for power hour 7−9pm. It’s a nice bar, close to home, and service isn’t bad. People are nice and the smoking area outside is a nice place to hangout when the weather is nice.
I heard the macaroni and cheese burger is awesome.
Check it out next thursday, it’s year round!

Last time I was here I pretty much said I would never step foot in here again. I ended up going back. I had a high school friend visiting town and we ended up there to meet up with his brother and wife.
Service was much improved over my last visit. Our waitress and the bartenders were on the spot. Excellent service all around. The beer was also cold and plentiful.
However I only give them 3 stars though because the place was still filthy. They really need to do some cleaning in there.
