History
Established in 2002.
Calvert Design Group, Inc. was founded in 2002, but our roots in the web go back to the very early days of the Internet. Mr. Brian Raines, our Chief Technology Officer, was an instrumental figure in expanding the use of the Internet in the U.S. Senate and designed one of the first web pages available for a United States Senator when he developed a website for then U.S. Senator Bill Bradley in 1995.
Later in his career in the U.S. Senate, as Webmaster for the U.S. Senate Sergeant at Arms, Mr. Raines and his team won a prestigious Federal Design Achievement Award from the General Services Administration (GSA) for the U.S. Senate website redesign for the 106th Congress.
Calvert Design Group, Inc. is a woman-owned business incorporated in the State of Maryland. Carrie T. Raines serves as Calvert Design Group’s President and is responsible for daily business operations, marketing, project management, usability testing, search engine optimization and client relationship management.
