History

Established in 1977.

Connolly-​Bernabei-​Wendt Agency, Inc. was first formed as an Illinois corporation in July of 1977 by John T. Connolly, Richard D. Wendt and Bruno P. Bernabei. Mr. Connolly’s father founded the agency in 1906 and it had operated for many years from a location in the State Bank of Cherry building.

In March of 1980, the three owners employed Jim Coughlin as manager of the agency. Jim and Chris Coughlin purchased the agency in 1984 and in the years since purchased four additional agencies. CBW Agencies, Inc. denotes all of the agencies owned by Connolly-​Bernabei-​Wendt Agency, Inc. Agencies are located in Cherry, Ladd, Amboy, Kinsman and Ottawa, Illinois.

Business Owner

In March of 1980, I was employed as manager of the Connelloy-​Bernabei-​Wendt Agency, Inc. located in Cherry, Illinois. In March of 1984, my wife, Chris, and I purchased the agency and continue as business owners today.
