Specialties
Fortcross Wilderness Education is located in the beautiful San Bernardino Mountains, about 75 minutes from Orange County and 90 minutes from LA. Our goal is to educate, inform, and experience God’s amazing creation through the use of hands-on activites such as:
Camping, live musical entertainment, archery, pottery, nature hikes, plant and animal identification, primitive fire making, campfire sing-a-longs, folk dancing, Native American studies in acorn grinding, bow and arrow making, tomahawk throwing, gold panning and mining, candle dipping, cider pressing, hayrides, horse and donkey care. Also, U-pick apples, peaches, raspberries, blackberries, and cherries!
Let us put together an adventure for your family, church, or scout group! Prices start at $ 8 and up, depending on times, activites, and availability.
Come out on June 22, 2013 for our Cherry Festival! Also join us October 5 & 12 for Apple Days where you’ll experience making fresh apple cider!
History
Established in 2000.
Fortcross originated on Riley’s Farm, and was moved to Mile High Ranch when the ajoining property was purchased. Mile High Ranch is surrounded on all sides by wilderness, which makes it an ideal location for a pristine camping and hiking adventure. Come explore the hundred year old oak and sycamore groves, periwinkle filled water canyons, and man made lake!

Business Owner
I’ve been the owner of Fortcross Wilderness Education since 2000. Being outside in nature is a major part of my life and I couldn’t imagine doing anything else. I’ve had a great time over the past few years sharing with people all the fun adventures that happen around here. Come on out and join the fun!
