This is a review regarding Edward Jones located at 6 Alpine Lane, Chelmsford MA.
Edward Jones has been handling my wife’s and my retirement accounts for the last 15 years. We used to live in Massachusetts and have since moved to Rhode Island. We were friends with the original broker and that is why we had originally signed up with Edward Jones.
We both have our individual IRA account there as well, as other accounts. Recently I received a statement stating that shares were sold? I emailed the admin Mandy asking for clarification, she replied shares were sold because of the yearly maintenance fee of $ 40 for my IRA account, I told her in the past I would receive a bill for the $ 40 and I would send out a check. That I do not want shares sold for $ 40! She states that is there policy when I signed up 15 years ago! I replied well it had never happened before! I told her from now on she is not allowed to sell anything on my behalf or my wife’s before getting written approval from us.
She was very unwilling to listen and not very helpful, today I receive a call from the office in providence stating my account has been transferred???
I ask the new rep who transferred my account??? He replies he did not know?
I never authorized anyone to transfer my account??? So how was my account transferred???
If you want a broker that values you as a client and treats you and your family and your money with respect I think you will be better served with another broker then Edward Jones in Chelmsford Ma!
My wife and I will be transferring our accounts and I suggest anyone looking to start a relationship with Edward Jones to rethink their decision!
It is your money and you deserve better!!!

Mandy when you are dealing with people’s money you should be more understating or maybe find yourself another line of work…
