We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to this winery. We tried new wines that gave us a new sense of taste. The best thing about this winery is the small mom and pop feel that it exudes. This makes sense because this winery was one of the first.

Favorite go-to place! Great wine, amazing food, great service!!! We spend at least one, if not more nights during our stay eating here, and always stop by for wine! Ribs and pulled pork sandwiches are the best!

Note: this review is for the gift shop only, not the actual winery or orchards here. Also, ideally I’d rate this shop 3.5 stars but since that is not an option, I’m rounding up. Driving from Lake Chelan to Manson, the signs for this winery and gift shop on the side of the road caught my eye, so we decided to check it out. And we were so glad we did! This is a wonderful, large gift shop, chock full of goodies and treats of all sorts. I literally could have spent a good hour in here or more(if my family would let me. Which they don’t. Hahhaha). At any rate, the store interior is large and warm, with lots of warm woods and wine/grape-oriented décor. In other words, it’s exactly what one would expect from a shop in a winery. The ambiance is very welcoming. There’s a wonderful little cheese shop in the corner(see my review on this separate fromagerie/cheese shop, the Lake Chelan Cheese shop), and the lady working that area was friendly and helpful. We explored the whole store. As expected, there were a lot of wines for sale, with a ton of accessories and wine-related home décor items. Sure, there were lots of tchotchkes, too, but many were cute and could serve as fun gift ideas for folks who are into wine. There were beautiful gift baskets full of wine items, and gourmet foods, too. Lots of high-end, fancy crackers and biscuits(that go with wine, of course!), and accompanying spreads and jams and dips, and lots of wonderful candies(we couldn’t resist some fabulous black licorices and sea salt caramels! Sooooo good!). Then there’s the rest of the store: house accents(little sculptures, metal signs, candle holders and candles, lotions and potions and soaps, etc), and a ton of women’s costume jewelry up front, and more. Some garden décor items. Some t-shirts. More jewelry in the back. There is so much to explore. There is an area in the store devoted to dining, like a small café or bistro, with plush upholstered chairs and small tables. I’m not sure what they serve but it was cute. They had complimentary coffee for the taking and we enjoyed a few cups(nice!). This place also offers complimentary wine tastings, too, I might add. I gather this is a big draw. And I think I heard a counter clerk say they offer 4 or 5 glasses of tastings, all complimentary, which is a rarity in the area. So that might be worth exploring, for your wine-lovers out there! I loved all the gorgeous wooden serving boards/cheese boards for sale. Just beautiful! So why, you may ask, am I not giving a solid 5 stars to such a fabulous shop? It boils down to customer service. We were not greeted when we came into the store, no one asked us if we needed help finding anything, and we had a hard time getting someone to help up when we were ready to purchase our items. There was a lady at the front counter talking to a small group of folks who already made their purchases. We went to the attached counter in the back(this counter winds around to the back, and there’s another cash register there). Despite another store employee seeing us waiting there to pay for our items, she didn’t come over to help us or even acknowledge us in any way. After about 4 – 5 minutes of waiting, we wandered to the front counter again where the lady was still talking to the other group, just chatting away. We waited another 3 minutes or so and I was seriously considering just leaving our stuff and leaving(it was just a few gourmet candies, after all. No big purchases). Finally this lady broke away from chatting with the group to help us. She rang us up and then, after doing so, said she’d have to ring us up again at another cash register(I forget the reason. Perhaps because we were paying with cash and not a debit card), so we went to a third register closer to the front of the store, where she rang up all our items again and we finally paid and left. This lady was friendly and nice and all, but man, purchasing items shouldn’t take over 10 minutes and be such an ordeal. My suggestion for this winery shop would be to please get more sales staff and please be more attentive to your customers in the store, as you have wonderful merchandise and folks like me would love to return and refer you to our friends and family! Thanks!

I was in Chelan for a weekend away with my husband. Swung by Lake Chelan Winery for a tasting. We walked in and were not greeted. There were about 10 total people tasting with 5 people working behind the counter. We stood there for nearly 15 minutes with no one even acknowledging our presence! I couldn’t believe it. We walked around in attempts to get some assistance but again we were ignored. I suggested we buy a cider and my husband said he didn’t want to spend his money there. We left feeling invisible and thoroughly disappointed! Never again will we go there. I suggest to anyone that they go elsewhere. I suggest they step up their customer service to compete with other wineries who were far more friendly and welcoming.

Wow! Went in there twice and was first ignored then turned away. I don’t care what their wine is like. They will never get my business.

We enjoyed the wine tasting here. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We were traveling with our two dogs and they were welcome inside the tasting room. It’s refreshing to find business that welcome well behaved dogs. The wine was great!

Lovely setting. Service was excellent. Great gift shop, cheese selections and more. Interactive host, offering not only good history of winery, but another stop we should include in our tour. Left with three bottles to enjoy later.

Disappointed in our experience with our dinner on 8÷24÷15. We took our big group of 24 to celebrate a 90th Birthday. We were seated and waited for a very long long time to put our order in for drinks and then a lot longer to order dinner. The dinner was fair. The bill was $ 600 with automatic tip added. We order a few desserts and you’d think they could have provided a desert with a candle and said Happy Burthday!!!

The environment of this place was great! The food was good. I dined with a larger party(10 people) so I called in advance to make a reservation, which they only do up until 5:30pm(a little odd), when we arrived they seemed a little unorganized and it was a 85 degree+ day, the only table they offered to us was in the direct sunlight, we were already sweating. They offered to let us move a table into the shade(and by let us, my group LITERALLY had to move the tables ourselves) to the shaded area. I’d go again if someone with me wanted to go, but I’m not sure I’d seek it out on my own.

This place is all around — awesome! Our host for the wine tasting was the best!!! Customer service was an A+ and he really was in tuned with what my group wanted. He asked a lot of questions on our wine preferences and what we wanted out of the wine tasting. He was so friendly and personable, it was my birthday and he definitely catered to that! He even addressed us by our first names, and there was 11 of us!!! This place even had a cute little shop and sold pickled jars of vegetables, salad dressings, and had a cute little deli that offered some cheese, crackers, and other foods. and the outside had an outside bbq!!! i was sad to say that they do not open until 4pm, and our wine tour was over by 3pm :(so i will definitely be coming back to try their bbq and some more wine!!! i love this place!!!

I can’t say enough wonderful things about this winery. The wine is extremely good, and the Chelan Gold Cider is a huge bonus. The family that runs this winery is very friendly and knows what they are doing! The gift shop has so many fun things to look at and purchase. I could spent hours here looking at everything! The staff is all extremely friendly and is always willing to go the extra mile to ensure you have a positive experience. This is a stop worth making while you’re in Chelan or Manson! Check out the Falling Cow wine– delicious and it comes with a fun story :)

My friends and I decided to brave the freezing temperature and icy conditions to head over to Chelan. Chelan is wine country so it’s hard to one hear and not sample the fruits of the fields. We went on Valentines Day which there was a decent sized crowd of people inside. Anyway, the experience here wasn’t very personal. After weeding through the people that were wine-blocking the counter, we finally got a chance to sample some wines. People were wine blocking as there really isn’t a large amount of sitting room other than a 5 – 6 small tables next to the bathrooms(odd placement). I believe I tried a dry Syrah, a Gewurtztraminer, and one other white wine. I thought they were all decent but not the best. I had never had a Syrah before and I actually liked that one the best. The lady overseeing the tasting was very very knowledgeable and friendly. The cheese and meat area was neat too and the cheese was hella good. They also had a chocolate fountain and I just can’t even fathom the amount of items that fall into the chocolate, edible and inedible. Plus there were kids playing in it so I was over it. The bathroom was the hot ticket which also was odd as well as it smelled madd funky and you could smell it from the sitting tables. I’d like to try this place again when it’s not busy and not Valentines day. It has potential.

Don’t miss this BBQ!!! We have been coming here for the past 8 years and this is the highlight of our trip to Chelan. You will never find ribs where the meat literally falls off the bones like at LCW. They just recently added a Tri-tip steak to the menu, and I had to try it. .. and it was cooked to absolute perfection. The wine is great, the food as amazing, and the atmosphere is perfect! Out kids will always remember spending the summers here.(And please disregard the negative reviews from those who came with parties of 20 people, didn’t even order the BBQ, and weren’t served in record time. Please.)

Very courteous personnel. Free wine tasting. And the adjoining cheese bar serves up good stuff. Their Stormy Mountain white wine is pretty good and for a good reason has won so many awards

This was probably one of my favorite stops while in town for the weekend. Know this if you wanna go here: Unilocal and foursquare directions will lead you astray! Instead head towards Manson as though you are going to Benson Vineyards– Lake Chelan Winery sits right at the bottom of the road to Benson, off the the main road between Chelan and Manson. Okay, so enough with the directions. I had a coupon for free tastings at this spot and $ 3 off a bottle of wine via a Living Social escape deal. The tasting included a fair number of wines(4 – 5 if I remember correctly), and included their hard cider, which I liked so much I bought it($ 12 minus the $ 3 made it only $ 9). In addition, you can pick up a lot of souvenir foodie items, and try some great cheeses. They had some great deals on cases(50% off) while I was there, and were willing to sell at the case price to multiple party members as long as it added up to a case. Really reasonable prices for high quality wines and very fun, down to earth people here.

Great atmosphere! Good place for kids and families! Loved the patio, surrounded by the vineyards! Food was overpriced for what it is. Don’t get me wrong it was delicious! The pulled pork sandwich was to die for! It was loaded with BBQ pork, had to eat a lot of it with a fork before I could eat it as a sandwich because I probably would’ve been wearing it! It came with 2 sides; coleslaw and BBQ beans. Also upon arrival you get a basket of cornbread.(I would’ve preferred it after the meal, kind of like dessert to me!) But it was delicious, I prob wouldn’t have had room for it after that sandwich though! I just think $ 18 for a pulled pork sandwich is a bit extreme. I think $ 12-$ 14 would be a more reasonable price tag. But after all it is a winery and they always charge more. Obviously I will be back, the food; while expensive was ridiculously delicious! 2 big thumbs up!
