So I am well aware of the history of this place after coming to Chelan every summer and winter for the last 30+ years. Over the years it’s changed hands several times. Used to be the place we would go for ice cream as kids. Used to be the place you could grab a cold beer and desert with your family on vacation. Used be the place to play pool in relaxed clean environment with your friends. Used be one of the places I wanted to my kids when I was older. The recent history of the restaurant, reality shows aside is very sad. So what can you expect now? Most times the wait staff is friendly enough, no real complaints there. My family always gets seated at the back of the restaurant cause we have kids. But for the food items that are actually available that day, it can be hit and miss. More misses than hits. Salads are bland and quite small. Wings are ridiculously expensive by any standard and nothing special. The sandwiches are lack luster and plain. The reuben is good but really small. Most portions for the most part are really small. Cleanliness is an issue but it has been for some time now. The establishment it seems is getting ready to switch hands again. Hopefully, to someone who knows Chelan and what this place means to people.

Great beer, good food, excellent service. I was looking for a place to sit outside and have a beer and people watch. B.C. McDonalds met my expectations well. There was a good selection of beer and the salad I had was fresh and delicious.

Interesting to read all the negative reviews. We’ve vacationed in Chelan for 25+ years and the crappy reviews you see here reflect our oldest memories of this place and continue to our more recent experience a couple of years ago. We keep trying to give this dive the benefit of the doubt, but no longer. Move on and go somewhere else. Heck, if you just want a burger, go to Lakeview Drive In up the street.

GOELSEWHERE! 6÷20÷16 — stopped by for a quick lunch with my husband and wish we would have chose a different place in town. No customers in the building should have been our first clue. An older Asian guy was the only one in the building when we walked in. Awful customer service, no «welcome» or «hello» — we asked to sit outside and he seemed disgruntled with our request. He brought us waters and my husband ordered a beer. I had a few questions about the menu and once again the disgruntled demeanor returned. We ordered the calamari, and the ciabatta turkey melt to share. The calamari stated on the menu it came with a spicy aioli, but it was served with tartar and cocktail sauce. The turkey melt was literally turkey lunch meat, Swiss cheese, and bread — served with chicken broth to dip apparently. None of it made any sense. We were close to finished with our meal before Asian man/our server even bothered came back to check on us. Overall it was the most odd restaurant experience I have ever had and wish we would have spent our money elsewhere. We will not be returning and I would strongly suggest finding another place to eat.

Horrible service… I mean horrible. Where do they hire these people? This place is something else. Too expensive. Omg, I hate this place. The food is not good. The soda is flat and the French toast tastes like dirty sink sponges. For the love of God, stay away from this place.

Ok, this place seriously needs to be sold to owners who can clean up the place… it is dying a slow and painful death. Our group of 4 walked in on a sunny Saturday and the Asian guy(owner?) slowly strolled over to us without smiling or saying hi. I asked if they had outdoor seating to which he said no… there was not a single customer in the restaurant, and there was an overwhelmingly heavy moldy stench. I felt claustrophobic and said«never mind» and we left… Gross…

Have been here twice. Second time to give the benefit of one time maybe being off. Done. No more. I will wait to see if they took Gordon Ramsey’s advice. I mean he probably knows a bit more. But then again… June the show will reveal more.

This place has all the potential in the world. It’s got decent to good food but they’re very understaffed and it’s so big that when there’s only a few people there it feels awkward

Blah… we tried this place just to try something new during our most recent visit to Chelan. We sat outside on the front patio which was nice but too small. We went inside and asked about patio seating and were handed menus and silverware and told to go find a seat. We then waited forever to place our order. We were brought water, that was warm on a 90 degree day and then it took 40 minutes to get our food. The Reuben we ordered was ok… won’t be back to this place again

Well let’s start with the good stuff. The bar is beautiful and the owner was very friendly. That’s unfortunately not enough to carry the bad food and the questionable service. Tonight was my first time trying this establishment. I don’t know if it was the waitresses first night but she didn’t seem to know by the Guinness was and thought it was hard alcohol. My salad came with wilted lettuce dry chicken and no dressing. My boyfriend ordered a prime rib sandwich but it was more like a roast beef sandwich rather ordinary. For the space that property has the atmosphere just wasn’t very nice. It was very tacky and cheap. I have never recommended this to anybody visiting Chelan and after tonight I certainly will not.

Interesting brunch experience. Pros: — Open for Seahawks games with lots of TVs and good audio. — Waitress hustled. The place was packed and she tried her hardest. — Spicy bloody mary is the best here; more tasty than just spicy. Cons: — The owner bad-mouthed another local place to our table. Not cool. — How are you short-staffed on game day at a bar/restaurant? Because of this everything took forever. — Tried to trick me and served scrambled eggs on my Benedict(should have poached). When I asked for the correct eggs the waitress said they were out of eggs and all they had left were scrambled. — The rest of my table’s food was either bland or overly salty. If you want mediocre, over-priced food but a good bloody mary while you are engulfed by football this is the place for you. Unfortunately, not my dig.

Thank you BC McDonalds for the delicious dinner we had at CAMPBELLS last night. We went in to BC’s to have an early dinner at 4:45. There were two men at the bar and the bartender. She told us to have a seat anywhere so we did. Almost immediately she came over to our table with a mixed drink and asked who had ordered the Shirley Temple… um, we literally just sat down so we were a bit confused. She then swung around spilling part of the drink on the table and went back to the bar and gave it to the person that actually ordered it. Then, we sat. And sat. And sat. No other acknowledgment was given to us, not even as we left the restaurant. We were never given menus or offered anything to drink, she just told us to pick a seat. There were literally no other people there besides us(3 people) and the two guys at the bar. I can only assume there are new owners? Get your act together BC McDonalds.

We tried this restaurant as kind of a second choice as our favorite pizza place was closed. We were pleasantly supposed by the quick service and piping hot dip sandwiches that came out with loads of tasty fries. They have a huge menu and a huge bar with a large selection of specialty beers. Too bad the view of the canal isn’t more prominent. Would definitely go again.

This place gets the first prize in terrible service competition. Went for ice cream and didn’t feel welcome at all. You’ll see the signs of their service before you even order, «no shoes no ice cream», «no samples», etc. Asked a question about one flavor and the lady at the counter looked on me like this was the dummies question ever. Went for plain vanilla flavor and it was just average. My advice: go somewhere else, let these guys fix their service or die.

Terrible service We went in for lunch and the whole restaurant was practically empty. We noticed the sign by the door that said wait to be seated so we did. In the time we were waiting to be seated two waitress walked right passed us without even saying hello. Finally one of the wait staff seated us by telling us to sit anywhere we would like which we did. About 2 minutes later another very large waitress came up to us and said very rudely«did you just walk in and sit down» we both looked at her and said no that waitress just sat us. She then looked around and walked away. Not«can I get you some water or a drink» then she waddled back over with menus and we asked if she was serious about her remark before, and she explained she was because we «can’t just walk in and sit down.» If the service is that bad before the staff says hello I can’t imagine how this place is still in business? !!!Do yourself a favor and go across the street to Campbell’s!!!

Bad Service & Bigotry. If there were zero stars BC’s would have won that honor. 9 of us headed into town for some whiskey and food to start off my Bachelor party. We split up at different ends of bar to get service. Wasn’t until 10 minutes later when finally asked if I want a drink. There were only 6 other patrons and none ordering. To top it off the female bartender decided to laugh and engage in homo-phobic remarks. One of my groomsmen ordered a sprite at the bar and bartender was rude and said not sure why he would ‘pony up to the bar’ for a sprite(as if designated drivers was a foreign concept). One patron in best stereotype homophobic voice said would be ordering a spritzer next. The bartender decided to laugh along and say your true. So if you want to go to a slow, bigoted establishment decorated in Circa 1992 Denny’s then this place is for you. Otherwise go down the street to theShot of Gratitude which is a great place for a beer or drink

This is my first negative review. First the wait staff barely acknowledged us. Our water was empty so long that I had to go to the bar and pour our own water while three employees watched. The food was marginal at best. The Cesar salad was bad. But on the positive the kids loved the fries:) Never again!

This restaurant’s 2 star review is absolutely fitting. We went for ice cream and the service was awful. Staff was blatantly disrespectful and my milkshake wasn’t even stirred! Disappointed :(

My wife, 4yo daughter, and I stopped by this place for dinner on a cold January Tuesday. The place had maybe four couples scattered around and approximately four or five people at the bar. We came in because I saw the advertised prime rib dinner and my wife and daughter planned to share a pizza. The bartender doubled as our server. He seemed to be manning the place solo and I thought he was decent considering he had the bar and the restaurant. He was pleasant and friendly. The reason for our poor review is the quality and price of food. 1. We were told after we had water that they were out of prime rib and pizza. That the leftover prime rib had been used for the soup and a sandwich. 2. We ordered the prime rib soup($ 8) for my wife and the Edinburgh Hamburger($ 13) with cheddar and grilled onions. I opted for fries with the burger. The kids meals were all $ 8(um, NOTHANKYOU) and after reading the reviews I was reluctant to order from the kids menu if the food was actually as bad as I read. 3. The soup featured some pasta, carrots, and celery. It tasted bland and was averaged size. They probably made it for(nearly) free with leftovers. It’s the worst soup I remember eating or tasting. You may say $ 8 isn’t enough, but that $ 8 + tax + tip I paid for it felt like it was being burned in the fireplace. I feel guilty spending it on that soup. And my wife, who rarely complains about food, nearly sent it back. But our daughter was tired and hungry, so we stayed. 4. The fries, ketchup, and Tabasco were all fine. The burger bun, veggies, and grilled onions were fine, too. The burger patty itself seemed synthetic and very«slidey.» The first bite or two revealed a uniform, highly processed view. I quickly realized it was a bulk-purchased frozen burger. May have been heated on a grill, but possibly even a microwave. I ate it. However, knowing that a $ 3 McDonald’s burger is substantially better(eek!) makes it a travesty paying $ 13 for this one. My wife thinks BC MacDonald’s rates as a 0-Star, but I think the 1-Star is probably solid. Walking to the restroom to an adjoining part of this establishment I noticed their ice cream shop(closed) with a sign: «No samples.» I guess that sums up this place: They spend the least amount of money on you, charge optimally, and leave you feeling like the sucker. Can’t speak for the service(which I thought was reasonable for one dude manning the place), but never ever returning to have ANY food. Appetizers were standard bar food(mozzarella sticks, etc for $ 8+). The bar looked well-stocked but the other reviews here have put me off. But it’s probably fine for a drink or two if you aren’t in a rush. Someone mentioned that the prime rib sandwich was amazing, but the prime rib in the soup was left unfinished by a female carnivore, so I’ll have to pass. I’d rather buy groceries and cook or eat some frozen freezer section food than pay so copiously for cheapest bulk freezer section food put on a plate in a restaurant. And this was one of only two times I have the time to get out to dinner while at Lake Chelan, so double bummer. We should have gone to the Apple Cup Café or Wapato Point Cellars. Both those places have been solid on food quality. Unfortunately, it’s the off season on a Tue evening so Campbell’s, Tin Cup, etc were all closed. Also, I can’t speak for the hotel or the quality of the establishment – only the quality of the food. If you can, avoid for a main meal or family meal with kiddos.
