Holiday Inn Express & Suites Chehalis-Centralia

Grate place .we just had our washer flood our house and thay helped us get a room for us and the kids. very clean and quite, good food, nice pool, very helpful staff.

This was a great place to stay. The staff was super amazing and very friendly. They made this place! Very accommodating!

Stay here a lot for work-it’s your standard Holiday Inn, nothing extravagant but by no means run down. The service, however, is top notch. My second time staying there the gals remembered my name when I walked in. The ladies are so sweet, will help out however they can with whatever needs you have, and are always smiling. Good work ladies!

The welcome check-​in was friendly and they welcomed me as a platinum guest! With the amount of times I have stayed in IHG hotels, it is nice to be recognized when I stay for even just one night, so thank you holiday inn express Chehalis-​Centralia! I just stayed the night at the holiday inn express lake Oswego and they didn’t give me a platinum welcome greeting, suite upgrade, and extra points like this location did. Fantastic job Chehalis-​Centralia! Thank you.

Comfortable rooms — nice layout, clean, with friendly staff. Train nearby — ask for the font side of the hotel if you are a light sleeper. Across the street from an enormous grain elevator — real reminder of central WA countryside.

We chose the HIE by default, since apparently every hotel in the area was booked for sports tournaments. The price for a King leisure room was reasonable, and the bed quite comfortable. I appreciated that the bathroom vanity was large enough to spread out toiletries and use for dressing, but the bathroom was still tight, with only a shower, no tub and this hotel remained consistent w/​most in my one pet peeve, cheap, single ply toilet paper and kleenix. There was a mini fridge, microwave and coffeemaker, though it only made 2 cups at a time and we had to raid the dining area to get enough creamer to actually make the coffee palatable. We stayed on the first floor, at the end of the building (rm 100), and although we were warned about train noise, we experienced none. We heard from some families staying on upper floors that they were disturbed by it though. Overall, not a great location for a hotel, so close to tracks that are in use constantly.
We did enjoy the heated pool, but the hot tub was too hot and had too many chemicals, way too much. I would suggest lowering the temp on the hot tub slightly, as we’re tubbers and it was too uncomfortable even for us. Not sure if the chemical level is the norm, but even after turning off the timer, to stop churning up the fumes, it was still unusable. In the morning, we attempted to use the fitness center. We were unable to get one of the treadmills to work at all (I did tell a staff member who was picking up towels) and the room was very warm, making our workout a bit uncomfortable. I think a better supply of sanitizing wipes, then one half-​used travel pack (which may actually have been left by a guest), should be available to wipe down the equipment, in fact, it should be standard fare. There is a water cooler available in the area, so that was appreciated. I think maintenance of the equipment should be considered as important as cleanliness of the rooms.
Breakfast…what can be said about free continental breakfast that hasn’t already been rehashed. Hmmmm, hash might have been a nice change. Warmer tray «cheese omelets», some turkey sausage patties and something that resembled biscuits and gravy? There was a pancake maker that not one person tried, because who wants to have to take a lesson in using the hotel’s appliances? But, whoever supplies their cinnamon rolls should be commended. They were very good and warm, not just laid out to dry out. There was a decent selection of yogurt, a few cereals and some fresh fruit (apples, bananas or oranges), juices, milk, coffee and tea service. Adequate, but not outstanding. The dining area is large, though when more people showed up to eat, it was obvious there were too many tables, as people had to weave through carefully to prevent bumping into those seated or others trying to weave through as well.
Overall, I gave the hotel a 3 because it was certainly, just average. I always hold out hope for something special, especially for any room that costs more than $ 100 a night, but given the circumstances, I might stay here again, if I could get a room on the 1^st floor and I had business in the area. There is not much in Chehalis to offer, beyond driving around to look at the historic homes, antique shops and outlet shopping are in Centralia. Restaurants are few and far between and the suggested ones are quite spendy.

I really enjoyed staying here. The girls behind the counter were really friendly. Everything looked clean and nice, and I’m extremely picky about clean. My room was a king bed with a lounge chair. I liked that I had a thermostat that I could adjust instead of one of those noisy wall heater/​AC thing. My need was so comfy and they give you two options for pillows: hard and soft. Then you get a continental breakfast that ends around ten a.m. there were so many options: oatmeal, fruit, toast, pancakes, bacon, sausage, eggs, biscuits and gravy., and all kinds of drinks, hot and cold. I also liked that their parking lot was really well lit, That makes me feel better about the security of my vehicle.

Have stayed several times. It’s true… right along the railroad tracks, but that’s chahalis for you. I’d venture that between the best western plus and this property that would be the two best bets in the area. If possible, I try to book here over best western based on its proximity to good dining options. Check it out, the customer service is always friendly and the facility is clean!

An recent emergency brought us to Chehalis for 4 days. Our visit coincided with an auction held by Ritchie Bros. that same week. Needless to say, the hotel was brimming with attendees and guests and all rooms were booked. We so appreciated the professionalism of the staff, and specifically Cecilia, who regularly kept us apprised of our status on the waiting list for one of the busiest of the 4 nights. Many, many thanks to the staff and Cecilia who welcomed us and assured our comfort during our stay.

Clean, comfortable, and quiet even though it was right off the freeway and there were several children’s parties in the pool area. Very comfortable stay.

The hotel was a little difficult to find. Make sure to type in the correct address into GPS or just wait until you approach it when driving on Interstate 5.
The hotel was very clean and staff is extremely friendly. Check in process was quick and we had no problems.
Breakfast is fully stocked with omelets & sausage. They have a pancake maker, which helps if you’re traveling with a group of hungry people.
Great for families that are traveling. They have cribs available for infants (original metal-​like crib). Strongly recommend this hotel!

Nice and clean and comfortable.
Not so friendly staff. When we came at our check in time two minutes before it was 3pm, they wouldn’t let us check in until 3pm sharp. We sat in our cars for 2 minutes and then went back in and still wouldn’t give us our room. They made us wait 20 minutes past the check in time until we could finally get in our rooms. No compensation, no sorry for the wait, nothing.

Very clean and a very nice place to stay. I would definitely stay again. The pool and hot tub were great and so was breakfast. I only gave it a 4 star because most of the HBO channels didn’t come through. It would have been nice to have those, but overall I am very pleased.

We had a wonderful stay here and we are learning that if we want a comfortable bed and pillows, Holiday Inn Express is definitely the place to stay! The town of Chehalis is cute too!

Great customer service. Nice smaller pool. good breakfast. Close to I5 and pretty much everything you need in the area.

Stayed here during STP and they were incredibly accomodating. The hotel is very nice and clean and so were the rooms. I would recommend this stop for STP, they met you at the door with beverages, had dinner available, free massages, picked up our bags and held our bikes. Great place! I would stay here ourside of STP as well.

The hotel is new and clean, and the staff are as friendly and helpful as they can be. However nothing can make up for the fact that this hotel sits within a few hundred feet of the main freight railway for the western US. I travel with industrial grade ear plugs, but they were no match for the incessant train horn blasts throughout the night.
I have had quieter nights in rooms adjacent to airport runways, so I know the technology exists to buffer this kind of noise from buildings. It is amazing that a company with the resources of Holiday Inn did not see fit to include dual glazed windows and other methods to insulate rooms from the obvious source of noise.
I pity the management and staff of this hotel. It should not be their responsibility to deal with customers who are angry over money spent on a room they were unable to sleep in.

Brand new hotel, easy to get to, very friendly staff, clean, soft beds with good pillows, good tv, nice wireless, good hotel for business.
