The baked potato peirogies are amazing. Decent amount of food on the polish platter for the price, but the prices are a bit on the high end. My mom had the fish sandwich and it was moist and very big. The mashed potatoes were boring and something about the glomki was off.

I was excited to get the homeade chicken soup when i noticed they had kluski noodles. Well they were not homeade and they were not even the good flour noodles from a bag.

I went there for breakfast with my husband and two kids. The service was good but the prices and portions are ridiculous. My daughter ordered pancakes and 3 sausage links and they charged $ 7.00. Shame on them ! I also ordered pancakes and home-fries and they charged me $ 6.25. The home-fries was such a tiny portion that I ordered another side and they added $ 2. I will never eat there again! $ 32 plus tip. never again!!!

Since I am of Polish Descent, I was curious what types of dishes this place had from my Cultural Heritage. We came in(Me, Mom, Dad, Grandma and Uncle) and to my surprise we were the only Table(it was like a Ghost Town) we also came to see my Sister KT(she worked there for 7 Months). First I started off with a Bowl of Duck Blood Soup(I know it sounds weird but it was alright, the Meat was Tender but it was too Sweet I just wish they could’ve something in there to counteract that Sweetness) Dad, Grandma and Rick were Having Salads and Splitting Beers and Franzia Wine. For Our Entrees: Mom got the Pierogi Platter(Their Huge), Dad got the Breaded Pork Chop, Rick got the NY Strip Steak, Grandma got the Roasted Turkey and I got the Smoked Polish Sausage(Its amazing how Smoky those Links were). we also splitted the Golombki’s(Mixture of Ground Beef, Pork, Rice and Spices and wrapped in a Cabbage Leaf and covered in a Tomato Sauce). For me this was an Nice meal and I’m glad that I got to Experience eating food that my Ancestors ate growing Up.

I got off work at 7PM on this particular Friday. I was in need of dinner and My associates recommend that I try Potts Deli. I had never been there before, I was very hungry and it was close. I was very pleased to see how bright and cheerful it was. I was seated and was greeted by a very erstwhile member of the wait staff. She brought Me a nice polish beer and I poured the beer and then poured over the menu. It listed a great number of Polish Courses. I gave the items a great deal of thought. I ordered the Fish Fry. I succumbed to the siren call of the Buffalo Friday Night Fish Fry. Hey, «when in Rome!?» I promise that on My next visit I will order ethnic. There will be a next visit because My fish fry was a fine fry. The fish was light and flaky and the batter was very tasty. The sides were fine as well. They included the Holy Trinity of Mac salad, potato salad and cole slaw. When the dish was presented it had two lovely pieces of rye bread covering the fry. It was a fine Friday Fish Fry.

I went here with some friends on the recommendation of an acquaintance. When we arrived we asked for a highchair for my friends infant. The hostess told us she was going to get us one and never came back, we eventually had to ask our waitress for the chair. We ordered the pierogis as an appetizer as well as the salad bar. The salad bar was not great, with the ingredients being less than fresh. For our entrée we ordered the beef on weck, patty melt, and a burger. Our meal took forever to arrive(other guests who were seated after us received their meals first). When our food did finally arrive our appetizer came with the entrees. The fries that accompanied the patty melt and the burger were not fully cooked and the beef on weck came on a sub roll. The burgers were not cooked evenly and the beef on the beef on weck was dry. Once we ate what was edible it took forever to receive our check so that we could pay. In fact we had to go to the register for our check. The whole time we were there which totaled about an hour and fifteen minutes we spoke with our waitress a total of four times. Then when we told the waitress of the issue with our fries the only thing she did was take $ 2 off the bill. I was told by the waitress if I had said something sooner she would have fixed the issue. With how long it took to get raw fries how long would it take to get cooked fries.

My favorite local spot. Good food at very reasonable prices. Support your local restaurant rather than the big chains!

So I went back to try the Beef on Weck lunch special and was pretty disappointed. First the sandwich was again stacked thin, like two pieces of beef thin. Then the beef was overcooked and dry, I don’t think there was a bit of juice to it, as the roll showed no sign of soaking any up. The roll itself was different. It was like a mini hogi shape slightly bigger than a normal round weck roll, super soft and fresh, which is good, but the salt they use was very fine and covered to much of the roll, couldn’t knock any off without taking the caraway with it. Then to top it off Horseradish was weak, not even a sniffle of a nose clear. Really just a terrible rendition of this Buffalo staple I would never order again. Besides for the freshness of the roll, the only other redeeming quality of the meal was the fries. Just as good as the seasoned waffle fries last time, cooked to golden perfection. They made up slightly for the bad Beef on Weck. Lunch special should have came with a drink but the waitress forgot as she was busy serving the no one else that was in the place. Sorry I bothered you from sitting at a booth with the other waitress doing nothing. I suppose I could have said something but figured it was probably just sugary fountain drink crap anyway. Not saying I would never eat here again, just that it could use better execution, Also website needs prices updated as well as it’s $ 6.50 for this lunch special now, not $ 5.50. I mean seriously its 2013, keep an updated website.
