Nice little spot close to estate of confusion and main St meats. Great coffees around but their cold drinks are particularly impressive. Their nitro cold brew had a thick, creamy head with rich smokey chocolate notes.

Hands down best coffee place in Chattanooga. The service is polite and will even teach you how to use an aero press to be able to make your own coffee taste great for on the go. The prices for coffee beans are lower ($ 14) than most and you can still purchase more expensive ($ 18) coffee if desired. I personally suggest the Portrero Grande beans. Don’t forget they offer a complimentary cup when purchasing a box of beans. A+

This is truly some of the best coffee! Every time I go to Chattanooga I go back home with multiple types of roasts. The actual roastery is pretty neat too. They just upgraded their machine and added in some stuff to their bar. They have a ModBar, which I had never heard of until I started talking to the barista. It’s such a cool design. Go for the coffee, go back for the coffee, stay with the knowledge about coffee and cool gadgets!

Great place with numerous coffee bean options and sizes. I really enjoyed myself here. The lady working there was super friendly and helpful. Prices were better than expected. I believe I paid $ 2.5 for my coffee and $ 1 for a lavender tea biscuit.

Small place that seems to double as a bike shop, and has a cool hipster vibe (if that’s your thing). I’d stick to the basics if I went back. The iced coffee soda and tonic… Not my thing, but maybe yours

Came across this little gem of a place. On site coffee roasting and great tasting coffee. The barista very knowledgeable and friendly.

Alright, so THESE guys are my favorite roasters in Chat. Officially. I’d snagged a couple cups from them over the last few days, at Mean Mug (also awesome) and Whole Paycheck, er, Foods… Whole Foods. Anyways, after getting my last day at Little Rock City cut short after ripping a huge flapper on an easy V4 warm up boulder problem, so lame, I bee lined at straight for Velo. They had a fine Peruvian on pour over, excellent, syrupy with a bright acidic finish; I caught notes of mulberry and stone fruit, really subdued, but they were there, it was awesome. It almost made me forget about my bloody, oozing finger. Until I touched something, suckyyyyy. Anyways, I got to chatting with the owner, super ice guy with an Odin-​esquire beard that that would make ZZ Top blush. Always nice to talk to other coffee nerds, especially ones that are more knowledgable than me. This, and Mean Mug, will be my go to spots in Chat. Luckily they’re about half a mile apart. Oh! Bonus points to Velo for bicycle delivery to their wholesale accounts. Couldn’t forget to mention that.

I hope all the denizen’s of Chattanooga realize how good they have it with this place. Knowledgable owner and baristas with zero pretension. And while it shouldn’t be, the previous combination is dang near impossible to find in a coffee shop. The coffee is delightful (in house and beans to take home). They also have everything you’d ever need to make the perfect cup of coffee on your own. If you are looking to up your coffee game at home, stop by and pick these fine folks brains, they will be more than happy to oblige. It’s apparent that attention to detail is the name of the game around this place. This will be my first stop the next time i’m in town!
