I tried this place for the first time tonight. I had the Mezedes platter(app with Dolmas, Hummus, and Tzatziki dip) and the tenderloin sandwich(which was not what I had tried to order but it was still good). First, the dolmas were a lot bigger than what I am used to eating. I am used to them being«fingerling» size. Because they were so hefty and fat, they were difficult to eat. In addition, the rice stuffing was a fair amount over-spiced. Had they been smaller, the grape leaves would have offset the peppery taste I think. Also, because they couldn’t just be picked up and eaten, the rice was all falling out and there were no spoons. This is not sticky rice remember, it was difficult to eat. The Tzatziki sauce was pretty good, not as much dill as I am used to and not as well chopped but still a good flavor and the chunkiness isn’t a problem when you are eating it on a salad or with bread. The Hummus was about as close to perfect as you could get. It seemed fresh made — and really, its so simple to make a good hummus why all these other places used pre-packaged is beyond me. It was all served with chips, baked crunchy or soft. If you have any kind of sensitivity in your teeth or gums, I don’t recommend the crunchy. I normally don’t have a problem but this was a little too much for me so I switched over to the soft. The platter was generous, there was twice as much of either dip as I had chips/bread to put it on so I needed up taking home half of both the tzatziki and the hummus. I had been attempting to get the tenderloin platter but ended up with the tenderloin sandwich that came with jasmine rice and Ruffles style potato chips(I know. odd combination right?). The beef was well done and seasoned correctly. There was a bit too much horseradish sauce on it and this is not the sort of thing I consider Mediterranean but otherwise the flavors were good — tenderloin, caramelized onions, and horseradish spread. The service was really good. When it became clear I was struggling with the pita chips, a manager noticed and brought out some of the soft pita triangles for me and everyone was friendly without being intrusive. The place was reasonably clean; tables weren’t sticky and floors looked like they had been swept & mopped. Unsweetened tea was relatively fresh, not like it had been sitting there all day long. My app, meal, and tip was right at $ 25 but I took about 1⁄3 of it home; fair value for the dollar. Logistically speaking, and on a side note, if you are using the Apple iPhone navigation, it will tell you this place is somewhere over in Walmart. Just look for the Dairy Queen, its on the corner of the strip mall right behind that. Also, you don’t get to a menu until you are up at the ordering counter. It might serve the business better to have their menus back at the start of the line where people can be thinking about what they want. For the price point and class of service category, I give this a 4 star.

This place has solid Mediterannean food and is a great place to eat vegetables/vegetarian. I was trying to eat healthily and one daughter is vegetarian, so we had the hummus plate with vegetables and a vegetarian gyro. Both were delicious. We also wanted pita chips, so we ordered them on the side. My other daughter had a lamb gyro that she enjoyed. The tomato cucumber side dish was also delicious. We have come from out of town and eaten here twice and enjoyed it both times.

5 stars all day! Great quality for reasonable price! Got the Mediterranean salad with grilled chicken(made the salad exactly like I liked it, with garbanzo beans feta cheese and olives), grilled shrimp with new potatoes(the shrimp was seasoned perfectly not too over cooked thus not chewy and the salad that is supposed to be «just a side» has alot of additives), and a Greek gyro wth chicken(the pita bread was fresh and soft, the seasoning of the vegetables inside were tangy delicious and fresh). Everything about the meal was delicious. Large quantities and it was filling but not overwhelming or heavy feeling. Was so good went back on my last day in Chattanooga! We got the Greek salad with salmon(cooked very nice and tender), grilled tilapia, and once again the Greek salad gyro. Did not disappoint. Maybe the coffee wasn’t up to our standards but their dessert made up for it!

Be careful when ordering the lamb. We ordered 2 lamb gyros and got beef instead. I complained to waitress and had them re-made but it was still beef. We have had lamb and I have cooked lamb myself, so I know what lamb taste like. There was no gamy taste nor smell of lamb. It was more like a bait and switch. We expected to get a traditional Greek gyro with lamb slices, but as I mentioned it was the beef we were served after paying extra for lamb.

So me and my husband just happened to stop here after going to the aquarium. I really didn’t want to go and he did, so we deiced to try something different. I ordered the beef tenderloin, which was amazing! I would go back just for that. However the horse radish like sauce that came with it was disgusting in my opinion. My husband got the herb roasted pork-loin he wasn’t thrilled with his, but the sauce that came with his meal was amazing. I used it for my tenderloins! We also got the taziki dip for an appetizer, which again was very good… I would go back in a Heartbeat to eat here again, but my husband on the other hand I don’t know lol

I’ve been here on a few dates and their food is always accommodating to a wide range of diets from gluten free to full on vegetarian. The spicy hummus is a fantastic pairing to any of their various gyros which can be customized to any liking. The upstairs is a cozy seating environment and the overall atmosphere and Greek feel give it a nice boost as well. If I could list any cons or suggestions for improvement, the parking is a bit sparse and it’s a little unmarked whether you’re supposed to bust your own table. But these are minor qualms. Lovely little place.

Tazikis is a fresh delicious Greek café. I’m so happy we have two in Chattanooga. It’s become a favorite place for my daughter and I. The lemon chicken soup is AMAZING, so clean and comforting.

Very tasty and well worth the very affordable prices. Nice to finally see a fast casual Mediterranean concept that seems to be successful.

I give Taziki’s five stars based on the tomato-cucumber salad alone! That said, I don’t want to minimize how tasty the grille lamb gyro was, but my first taste of the tomato-cucumber side woke up my taste buds, bolted me upright in my chair, and made me say, «Wow!» Whenever I want to eat healthy, a tomato-cucumber salad is always a good choice. But they can be a «standard,» with vinegar, a little spice, and… blah. Not so at Taziki’s. The dressing«sparkles» for lack of a better word. The tomatoes, cucumbers and onion pieces take on new character when mixed with this house-made dressing! The grilled lamb gyro contained lettuce, tomato, taziki(I’ve always known it a tzaziki) sauce and grilled onions. The meat was flavorful, moist and tender. A handful of crinkled potato chips needlessly accompanied the dish. I say needlessly, because a) they don’t seem to «fit,» and b) there is enough food without them. Chalk it up to trying to give everyone their money’s worth. Only later did I learn that Taziki’s is a franchise chain. Credit due to the restaurant designers, because it does not look like a franchise operation. And the food rises above standard chain restaurant fare!

Unilocal did it again. Simple, tasty, quick, and inexpensive. Exactly what we were looking for. Had the Greek salad gyro and baklava. Nice local find.

Tonight was my first time eating at Taziki’s and overall I thought it was great. We started with the hummus appetizer and it was pretty standard fair. Pretty quickly after the hummus came out, we were brought dinner. I had the steak plate. Two of the three medallions were a nice medium and one was more medium well, but they were all very tender. The potatoes were nicely roasted and the salad was very fresh. Overall it was very tasty. The rest of the people I ate with also enjoyed their food. I would for sure come back. My only thought for this establishment would be to pick out a better wine selection.

I recommend this place to anyone — especially if you’re into lamb gyro’s. It seems like most places you get a gyro at, they just chop the meat off of the kabob and throw on some sauce and a tomato. Here, it tasted like they had marinated the meat for some time before cooking it. Full of flavor. The potatoes were exceptional, too! Quick service during lunch time. If you are visiting Chattanooga(like myself) or live there and have never gone, do it.

I am not sure if I wanted to give Taziki’s a 3 or 4. I perceive it is a franchise restaurant. When I have quick-service Greek or Mediterranean food, it is typically at a family run and owned establishment. The places I usually eat at for this type of food are most often dives. This is more trendy. Food quality: above average. I had chicken gyro and pasta side salad. They gyro tasted really good. Taziki sauce was good — and it didn’t have too much on it! Always a plus in my book! The lettuce was crisp. The tomatoes were good quality. I let the ‘guts’ of the gyro fall onto my plate and I ate that separately. I ate the pita bread as a side. The pasta salad was fine. Again, not too much dressing. I can always add more. Service, quick and friendly. Prices, truly average. Ambience, upbeat, open, and cool. Now that I’ve written this review, I have to ask myself, why do I want to give them a 3? It is a strong 4 and I will visit again when in Chattanooga.

I have always loved Greek food. Sadly, I have lived in Memphis the past 10 years and Greek food is just arriving on the restaurant scene. That being said, I was so happy on one of my recent trips to Chattanooga to find Tazikis. I had the traditional gyro and the cucumber and tomato salad and the baklava. All were delicious. The lamb could have been seasoned a bit more for my palate and in fact I almost felt like it was intentionally bland to please the masses. Therefore the 4 stars. But, the atmosphere is modern and clean and nice. And they serve wine – which always makes me.

Needing a chance of pace I ventured out a block or two from work today. The big boss is out for a few day. Today I went to Taziki’s. It was a nice place and the décor is a little over the top but nice I guess. I ordered a couple of gyros and small salads. The salad of cucumber an tomatoes was good and I enjoyed the vinaigrette. The other salad was alright I guess. So to the gyros they were fair and meat was a little on the tough side. I did like the vegis but the sauce just wasn’t there. In all it was fair to partly cloudy but I did like the location.

This simple unassuming space, where you order food at a counter, packs a wallop of flavor. The menu offers a wide variety of Mediterranean options from traditional appetizers like hummus and dolmades to gyros and char grilled lamb. Other items that aren’t straight forward Mediterranean are given touches like taziki sauce, feta cheese or Mediterranean seasonings. We got the grilled lamb gyro and grilled tilapia with Mediterranean seasonings. Both were excellent. The balance of taziki sauce, tomatoes, lettuce and grilled onion in the gyro was perfect. The side tomato cucumber salad had both Southern and Mediterranean influences. My only complaint was that the gyro came with potato chips when the dish begged for something healthier. The grilled tilapia was nicely seasoned and tender and served over basmati rice. It came with a Greek salad. Best of all, it’s reasonably priced. Taziki’s adds to Chattanooga’s reputation for restaurants with good food.

Mom came to visit today and we needed a quickish lunch before I had to go to work at 5pm. About 230 we found ourselves agreeing that gyros sounded good. It might be a tad harsh to go with *2 as it’s probably more a *2.5. My downgrade is for the gyro. Kinda important at a Greek spot. The taziki yogurt dip was good as before, but there was just something — odd about the flavoring on the lamb gyro we shared, and it was way greasier/saucy than any I’ve had here or back home, or anywhere. We split it and the meat was ok enough, but that oddly … vinagreitte-y sauce threw me. The pasta salad for a side was just meh; tri-color fusilli with diced tomatoes and feta, and I think the same vin dressing… A lot of their other dishes looked good on the menu and when we saw them go out to other tables(like their salads and some of the bigger, sharable meat and veggie dishes) and because it is so convenient to me, I will probably give them another shot to confirm my rating — but I think for my gyro needs I will be going back over on Broad…
