Drive thru wings! I am in heaven:) Debra was extremely busy on this Thursday night with tons of wing orders. She was very friendly and even called us back because I couldn’t get through on the phone line. We ordered 20 wings and fries…$ 13.99

So excited that there is a wing place that is not Zaxby’s or some chain. Being from Atlanta where there are wing places on every corner. Took getting some used to — to have to search for wings. Looked this place up and truly enjoyed the lemon pepper & teriyaki… service is great & fast. Wish they had a location in e brainerd.

Love the staff. Great attitudes and so sweet. Food is yummy too. Small little shak and would normally scare people away. Don’t… definitely go and try for yourself. I will always get my wings here. Oh and their fried corn… out of this world.

The wings are good, but REALLY small. I recommend the whiting fish plate. It’s definitely the best fish in town! For the most part, the staff is friendly. Sometimes the woman that works there can have a pretty bad attitude. But I’ve only noticed that when their really busy. Overall, the food is good though…

Bought a Groupon for this place. Had been wanting to try it and this gave me the impetus. It’s literally a shack on Brainerd Rd. You drive up and order and then wait. The menu is pretty simple, chicken wings, fish, fries, etc.
You can get large wings or small wings or even boneless. There are several flavors to choose from, traditional wing sauce, bbq, teriyaki, lemon pepper. I opted for the large Tangy BBQ 10 pc wings. With my Groupon I actually only paid .91 cents. Great deal!
The tangy bbq was mustard based bbq, a bit sweet and tangy. It was really good. I would have that flavor again, though I want to try other flavors.
This is a great local place, great wings and pretty affordable.

Anyone who knows me knows I am a hot wing fiend! I have tried hot wings everywhere in town and am known to be pretty downright picky. I prefer all flats, but I have friends who like the drums, so we get along just fine to split an order. I love them saucy and I prefer homemade ranch dressing to blue cheese, but if I wanted blue cheese, I would require it be homemade as well.
Saks Wing Shak is one of those down home places that just does wings right. Order the jumbos — they are fat and flavorful and swimming in sauce, I like the hot sauce, but I’m sure any of their sauces are good. While they don’t serve homemade ranch dressing, they are the perfect wings to take home and use your own dressing.
I’ve never been disappointed with the wings — so, if you love drippy, saucy, hot, flavorful wings, Saks is definitely worth the drive thru.
