Clarion Inn

We stayed here both on the way to and from Florida because we were so happy with it the first stay. The front desk was extremely helpful when I said a room smelled musty and brought a key right up to us for a different room without any issue. The breakfast is good and the room was clean, comfortable and bright. Will make this our stay at place each time we go back to Florida as we do frequently to visit family.

Stayed at the Clarion Inn on ⁷⁄₃₁ — 8÷2÷2015. Overall good experience at this hotel. Room was nice and tidy. Everything worked, clean linen and towels, and carpet was in good condition. The staff was very helpful & friendly during my stay. The reason for the four star review is due to consecutive issues with the breakfast bar. Both days we had to wait on the hot items for the breakfast bar. Wait was about 10 minutes both mornings. Clarion Inn needs a better time management solution for this area.

Definitely on my «not stay here again» list. On a positive note, the front desk staff were nice. Downhill from there. Pool closed so you had to walk across a parking lot to use another hotel’s pool; really bad water pressure; toilets clog; had temp set down to 60 & it never got cool. On more than one occasion, had to re-​route around loud (cursing) clean-​up service workers; garbage piled up in bags behind the building & the smell of the place was awful. Carpets are filthy… especially in the elevator. Management needs to take a look as most Clarion’s far surpass this one.

Not at all what I expected!!! Pool out of order. Air conditioning not up to par. There was an odor in the rooms, water pressure sucks and the maids are loud. Won’t

Great place to stay if towing a boat or other trailer and you want to be near Chattanooga! Chris the manager went out of his way to come outside meet us at the curb and direct us to parking. Nice clean room and very quiet.

Nice lobby area. Hallway and room smelled like smoke due to neighboring room smoking. Notified front desk but woke up the next day and same was occurring.

We enjoyed our 2-​night stay here. It was me, my husband, and our two daughters (ages 1 and 4). The room was clean, and the beds were very comfy. Our only negatives: the elevator broke (but was repaired the same day), and our bedside lamp wouldn’t turn off (we eventually unplugged it). The staff was courteous. The breakfast was great (loved the Belgian waffles)!

I probably wouldn’t have reviewed at all except for a rude encounter after the fact.
We secured our room with a debit card and am familiar with the way the temporary holds work. We travel a lot for our side business and have stayed at many different hotels in multiple states. I checked out and settled with cash on our last day. The woman who helped me was nice but a little flustered. When I approached the front desk, she was on it, actually on the desk, changing a light bulb and needed a moment to get down using the chair. She should not have been the one doing this and she certainly should not have been using that chair, she could have gotten hurt.
So, sure enough the charge goes through as a settlement the next business day.
I called the hotel to tell them and was unlucky enough to get Audrey on the phone.
She was rude and unhelpful and proceeded to tell me that I was wrong and the charge would drop off. I explained to her that I called my bank to verify and my bank confirmed it was the final settlement and that the bank told me I should call them first before processing a claim.
Audrey, belligerent and rude, would hear nothing of it so I asked for the manager.
And of course, I end up in hotel voice mail. If Audrey would have bothered to check, she would have seen that they actually DID charge the card and then physically made a credit.

Update: After seeing the room in the daylight, I had to lower my rating. There were plenty of dead ladybugs around the room. These weren’t in hard-​to-​reach places, either. They were on flat, very accessible areas of the room. They weren’t fresh, either. Also, it was very off-​putting to find a stink bug on the curtains. I’m sure there were more, but I only saw the one.
The water pressure was abysmal. We also found garbage left by the previous occupants. Cleanliness doesn’t seem to be high on the priority list for this Clarion Inn.
Even though the staff was very friendly, find other accommodations.

Definitely a great place to stay. Whether you are visiting or traveling through. Prices are affordable, breakfast was great. Clean, quiet and the staff was very friendly.
