SSA Security Group, Inc. is a full-​service security agency founded in 1990 by Jerry H. Shaw and Terry M. Segraves. Since that time, the agency has earned a reputation among corporations, government agencies and individuals for fastidious professionalism in dealing with a far ranging class of complex security issues.

The principals of the corporation had extensive careers with the LAPD, specifically the elite Metropolitan Division. They worked serious crime trends and problems throughout the city during the 60’s, 70’s 80’s and 90’s.

Many security details and investigations have led SSA staff to almost every state, including Hawaii. Foreign contacts extend to Canada, Japan and Europe.

In addition to its standard practice, SSA Security Group, Inc. operates several individual and divisions of security services. The corporation specializes in executive protection, consultation, facility security and management, residential patrol and response to calls for service and other private security matters.

SSA Security Group, Inc. patrol staff is maintained by active and former law enforcement officers who have had the training and skill to perform any and all tasks of security. Many are active or former members of the elite Metropolitan Division of the L.A.P.D., which include S.W.A.T. team officers and investigators in a myriad of assignments (burglary, robbery, narcotics, etc.)

Each is certified through the state of California as Private Security Guards and posses’ the state required issued firearm permits. The agency has contacts in nearly every state and in Japan and Europe.
