My girlfriend and I were in the market for some citrus trees and saw this nursery off of De Soto. We pulled in and went to check it out. No one came to ask us if we needed help. So we just started walking around in the back. We spotted some nice orange trees and a grapefruit tree and wanted to negotiate a good price for them. We also saw what we thought was a grapefruit tree with huge fruits on it. We went in to the office to talk to the owner and ask about the tree with the huge fruit. He told us it wasn’t a grapefruit tree at all but rather a citron tree. Since we had never heard of this fruit we asked if it is edible or not. He said that this fruit is used to make jams and jellies. The phone rang, he didn’t say excuse me, answered it, and started talking on the phone. We waited about 5 minutes for him to finish the call before asking more about the fruit. I asked if it was sweet or sour. He said it’s not sweet at all. So I asked how it would taste in the jelly if it’s not sweet, at which point my girlfriend suggested that you probably have to add a lot of sugar to it. That’s when the owner said «yea see, she knows. Making jelly is the lady’s job.» I thought I didn’t hear him right and asked «What?» I didn’t think he would have possibly said that. The owner said «Making jelly is the lady’s job.» My girlfriend said «Is that so?» I said «We both make jellies and jams together.» After that we were both very upset and left. We ended up going to the Green Thumb and getting 2 Blood Orange trees and a Grapefruit tree.

Saw this place on Channel 5, and drove up from the OC to check it out.
Many, many, fruit trees to choose from, from cherries to citrus, to stone fruits.
Recommend going in late winter/​spring to see the trees in bloom.
Definitely want to get a citrus tree of some sort, just have to choose.
A sign did indicate that they only take cash/​check, but I’m unsure. They do have a good website where you can peruse some of their offerings, but it’s so much better to go and check it out.

Very nice mom & pop nursery. Many exotic fruit trees and reasonable prices for the quality. I have a lemon tree I purchased 6 years ago and give away buckets of lemons all year because I can’t consume them all.

I LOVE supporting local businesses, the kinds that are owned and operated by locals. Paradise nursery specializes in fruit trees. We saw lots of mature figs, pomegranates, limes, lemons, oranges, rosemary… They had so many plants to choose from. It’s a small dirt lot with people traffic so be extra cautious because it can get busy.
Choosing the right tree was no easy task but we found a Meyer lemon tree and fell in love. The whole experience was magical. No one was there to greet us, but we just took a path we found. It took us all around the nursery to the way to the back to the green house. At the tail end of the path just as we were feeling fruitful we Saw a few fruits being pillaged by green Beatles. One fig had literally 15 Beatles on it. It was really disgusting, so that made our decision on a fig tree fairly easy.
We eventually came across the owner and she brought us into her office and talked to us about plant care and made some recommendations. With no doubt we closed a deal on the Meyer lemon tree. We didn’t negotiate the price down, I felt it wasn’t necessary to cut a deal since it was only one tree. It was $ 85 for a 15 gallon tree… You’re paying for the years of care to get it to this mature healthy point and also supporting your fellow neighbor. We purchased dirt and fertilizer for $ 7 paid a total of 92.50 in cash.
It’s going to be tough caring for plants in a drought but we are making huge efforts to reduce and reuse water. For one we do not have any decorative plants, we only maintain vegetables or fruit plants which are naturally beautiful. We have a 5 gallon bucket in the shower that catches water when we let it run waiting for it to warm up, we remove it the second it’s warm and hop in. Use a big container because it’ll be easier to transport that half a gallon or gallon downstairs. That water would’ve just gone down the drain and if that were the case we would be using extra water to cook, water and feed… With that water from the shower we use it daily to make rice, boil pasta or eggs, rinse veggies or fruit (dunking it into the bucket, all the dirt sinks to the bottom), water our basil and green onions twice a week and fill up our dog’s bowl daily. It’s a small effort but try it and you’ll be amazed just how quickly that bucket fills up in a matter of seconds, and to think all that precious water were saving. We also have reduced our showers to 2 – 4 minutes each, not including turning off the water while we lather. And our dishes are practically done with a lite trickle of water, a slow but effective technique vs letting it run full blast. If you are presented the ALS challenge please goto to the beach or a lake and jumping in that water instead of letting a gallon of good water goto waste.
So any who got a little carried away with the water thing. Just wanted to share that with you! Stop by Paradise for some excellent fruit trees and support local businesses!

The owner is very nice and honest and everything I’ve purchase has been good and healthy. It’s a cash only business so make sure you have cash before you go. Also a large variety of hard to find persian fruits

Paradise Nursery offers many varieties of fruit trees and in particular, Persian fruit trees. We did a large project on our property, planting around 25 trees and 20 roses. Mr Jahanbean came to our home, made recommendations and supervised the planting, which I would recommend if you want to plant numerous trees. He is very knowledgeable in his field. Our trees were planted four months ago and are thriving and beautiful. We also buy organic food that Paradise Nursery makes for the fruit trees, flowers and shrubs and see a big difference in their growth and health. We were given a one year warranty on our trees, in that any tree would be replaced if it died. This could be because we had Paradise Nursery do the planting or perhaps because we did such a large project., so I don’t know if that is offered in all situations. I would definitely return if I wanted to purchase more.

Real happy with paradise nurseries… Talk to Sean and Sarah about a white mulberry tree that I needed that no one in the Santa Clarita Valley had… I needed the one that had the delicious fruit… They were the only ones that had it… Nicely grown good beautiful tree that they delivered and planted… Gave me a great price and excellent customer service!!! Would highly recommend

Great place!!! I got a Persian sweet Lemon tree & a dwarf orange tree. I think this place is family owned because the lady was very helpful and very knowledgable about the plants & trees. Super excited! Service was excellent, very helpful!

I came here on Monday to get a tree and it was the best tree buying experience. Their trees were a bit on the expensive side but he was totally giving everyone a great deal. We got a $ 90 tree for $ 65. Not only was he super nice but he was very friendly as well! It was pretty cold and raining outside but I loved every moment of it. We picked our tree, paid, had it wrapped up all nice, and waited for it to get placed on the car. Coolest tree buying experience EVER! I would recommend these guys over Home Depot.

I went to this place a couple weeks ago to buy a few fruit trees 15 gallons each. I bought a total of 5 trees. At the time i thought i was getting a good price (I had not done much research yet). I paid roughly 85 $ a tree.
Last week, i did some research, called a few places and found the same trees for half the price. Not only were they half the price they were healthier.
My suggestion, this place has a great selection of trees, but i found the same things for half the price elsewhere.

I love this place; they have a great selection of fruit trees that grow well in hot, dry areas, many of which I have literally never seen before. The man who runs the place is a Ph. D in botany and really knows his stuff, and has helped diagnose problems that nobody else could help with (thanks to him, my mom now knows why her fig tree produces poor quality fruit). The organization of the place is pretty random, so if you need something in specific you should ask up front, but it is more fun to just walk around the place and see what is there, as there will be things back there you would have never thought to ask for. I have bought several fruit trees from him, as well as many succulents, and all of them are doing well (except the ones the squirrels ate — those little bast…)
