I have been to this salon several times, been going every 3 – 4 weeks since I first found out about them a few months ago. Today I had an issue with both customer service and the service I received. I asked for my nails to be cut short, first they didn’t cut them short enough. when i asked her to take them shorter, they cut them SO short that the skin behind my nails has been removed. they used the cuticle nippers so every time they grabbed my nail to cut it, the also cut the skin behind it. It is now like when you get a burn, sore skin thats a little bloody but not really actively bleeding. She cut my finger on the side later and used the dirty towel that was sitting on the station (before I got there) to wipe the blood off of my finger. there is polish all over the backs of my nails/​the cut skin on my fingers (I have pictures). I asked her to remove some of it, and she started trying to cut the skin more in those areas (where it had ALREADY been cut too short as it is). So i told her to stop, at that point i was done. It was painful, unsanitary. Then I told her that I really did not want to pay for this service because it looked bad, it hurt, and took 2 whole hours to do it (normally should take about 30 – 45 mins tops). She basically told me that the reason she had to cut my fingers was because «you asked for them to be shorter».Which seems odd because Ive been getting my nails this length for 10 years and never had that problem before. She told me I could pay and come back later to get them «fixed». I told her that I could not even come back for 2 weeks. More importantly, I can’t get them fixed until my skin heals, which will take weeks, because I work in this industry and my hands are in chemicals and water all day. So when I said I don’t want to get it fixed in a few weeks, and i don’t want to pay, she said i had to pay. Then she said «if you don’t pay, we have to take all the polish off now» Fine with me. except that I had been there for 2 hours already, was 15 minutes late to be somewhere else. I didn’t have any more time to stay today to get the polish removed. I told her i had no more time. She was rude, and She argued with me to the point that I paid for the service out of frustration and wanting to get the heck out of there. I told her that if she had just not made me pay for it, I would’ve given them another shot in a few weeks. That is GOOD customer service. Instead, they insisted on having my $ 25, and I won’t be back. The woman next to me also had her fingers cut too and they didn’t change the towels or anything after she left.

Absolutely terrible. I get my nails done often so I know the difference between a quality nail place and this one. My nail tech was extremely rude. He cut skin off near my cuticles while using a tool and the white part of my French doesn’t even cover the natural white part of my nail. The people barely speak English and don’t understand when you want something fixed. While I was in another person came in to get a messed up nail fixed. Don’t be deceived by the other 5 star ratings this place SUCKS.

This shop offers quality service for a very fair price. Tina is an excellent technician. I have visited here twice (for manicure & pedicure) and have been super pleased both times. Also they’ve been wonderful at fitting me in at the last minute (which is much appreciated!). I will definitely be returning!

I got a gift certificate for this nail salon from my cousin while I was in town visiting her. I’m not big on writing reviews but the service here was exceptional and I don’t think people get enough credit for the good service they do provide. People are so easy to complain but not compliment. Everything looked so clean, the white tufted décor and crystal chandeliers are so elegant. I was thinking thank goodness I have a gift certificate because I don’t think I could splurge that much on a mani-​pedi but when I saw the prices I was shocked! Kim was the one who did my pedicure and she was awesome. Her massage was the best! I like that the tools came in little packages… very clean! I wish that this place was closer to home.

I’ve been coming to this salon couple times and the services has been consistently good. Kim, Aaron and Tina are usually the ones that does my nails. The polish last longer than other places I’ve been to and the atmosphere is just so much more relaxing. I usually make an appointment with to avoid the possibility of a long wait.

Got my mom a gift certificate through their website. She received it just in time for her birthday! It’s so convenient to have this option available and I highly recommend this place if you are looking for a gift to pamper a loved one and make them feel special.
My mom has been to her fair share of salons but hasn’t been to this salon before. I’m glad to know that Spas N Nails is now her favorite in Charlottesville. Thanks for making my mom’s birthday extra special!

The guy who did my pedicure cut my big toe. He was watching the TV behind him throughout.

I received the best gel manicure from Kim here. I used to have acrylic nails and decided to take them off. My nails were super damaged and thin from it, and they all broke off. I decided to try the gel manicure and that was the best decision ever. It’s been almost a month and my polish hasn’t chipped yet. My nails grew out and are actually long now. Best part of all this is that they are my own natural nails! I will definitely be back and recommend to everyone!

I was in Charlottesville for a wedding and found this nail salon for a last minute mani and pedi. Aaron was awesome! My pedi was perfect and my gel mani lasted until now, it’s been more than a week. I got my eyebrows done by another lady in the salon and they turned out great! I’m glad I was able to find a good salon through Unilocal because I had no idea where to go. I would highly recommend this salon:)

I gave this place three good tries. The first experience was wonderful. During my second experience they had a young high school apprentice do my pedicure. Poor girl did not know what she was doing. The owner sat in the massage chair two seats down from me watching her suffer through it while she got a massage and played on her cell phone. After 30 minutes of trying to remove my gel nail polish on my toes a male employee took over after realizing I was not happy. He made it right and did a wonderful job on my toes and fingernails.
Last night my sister and I went to get pedicures. There were two customers finishing up. They got us right back to a chair and started mine. My sister waited an HOUR for hers to begin. I had an older gentleman that clearly did not know what he was doing. The worst pedicure of my life. He cut my toes nails so short they are sore today. He hurt me twice during the pedicure to the point that I said «OW» both times. There are bubbles all through the nail polish and he got polish all over my cuticles. A kindergartner could of done better. I will NEVER go back.

I got an awesome pedicure today! The polish was perfect and my feet feel baby smooth! I’ve searched for a great place in C-​vile to get a pedicure and I have finally found it! Will definitely be back!

Stopped by here for a last minute bikini and leg wax before my beach trip, thankfully Tina was able to fit me in. She was very thorough and made it feel painless. Most importantly, I didn’t see her double dip the wax stick! I’ve been to some salons that double dip when they did my bikini wax and it just grosses me out. The waxing room was a little small but at least it was clean. The whole salon overall looks and feel clean. I can’t stand going to salons that look dirty, especially for waxing. Definitely recommend!

Came here yesterday for a gel fill in and pedicure and couldn’t be happier with everything. My nails and toes look and feel awesome. I got my cuticles cut with my fill in and it definitely made my nails look a lot cleaner. They also offered me a complementary drink and were very friendly and professional the whole time. The shop is in a corner of the shopping center so it was a little hard to find but it truly is a gem. The overall experience was smooth and relaxing. It’s nice to see a salon that still cares about their customers and the quality of their service!

Spas N Nails is definitely one of the best nail salon in Charlottesville that I’ve been to. I come to town about twice a month and have been here couple times. It seems to look better each time and they added the new organic services. I tried the one with the hot stone and that was awesome. My legs and feet felt silky smooth afterwards. I get my gel manicure done here too, it last longer than other places I’ve been to. Give them a try!

This is by far the best nail salon I have ever been to. I popped in last week for a quick mani before an interview and it was great. I was in a rush so I didn’t bother with the pedi. Today, I stopped in this morning for a full service, mani and pedi. I’m so happy to have found this place. It’s affordable and you will get a great, classic mani and pedi.

It is hard finding a nail salon that does amazing work! I stopped at this nail salon while visiting my sister in Charlottesville.
It’s rare that I get a chance to get away from the kiddos, so I was excited to be pampered and have my nails and toes done.
My technician was super friendly and did an amazing job. She made sure that I was satisfied during and after my services.
If I lived in the area this would definitely be my
go to nail spa.

NOT the place for gel acrylic.
Spent more than an hour there. The set acrylic is FULL of bubbles, white curves aren’t put on straight leaving some nails looking crooked. After REPEATEDLY asking nails to be left wide and square they all have a slight taper and are all rounded. Left and right don’t match– especially obvious on thumbs.
A sugar scrub is a BAD call for someone with cuts and scrapes on their hands, and I left in PAIN from having my beaten hands scrubbed even more raw.
$ 40 and «come back in an hour» for a manicure that while better than what I came in with is NOT what I wanted.

Good piece, nice salon. Open on Sundays, which is hard to find in this city! Definitely recommend.

I went here yesterday based on the Unilocal reviews. Was very happy to see my girl Kim here! I went to her for years at happy nails and was glad to find her here so I’ll definitely be going back. The salon was very clean and relaxing. They sanitize their tools! Kim always does a good job and her massages are outstanding! I got the spa pedicure and it was totally worth it. The salon is gorgeous, the best in Charlottesville. It feels like a classy high end salon but prices are the same or less expensive than other salons. I just found my new go to salon!

I’m kind of picky when it comes to nail salons and I tried others in the area before finding this place. Every service I’ve had here has been great. I’ve tried some of the spa pedicures, which are a nice treat, but their standard pedicure is fantastic too. They have a nice selection of polish colors and my manicure was nice. Good waxing experience, too. I recommend this place to everyone.
