Based on your hair and skin type, certified technicians Carrie Macfarlan and Whitney Ezell use a laser hair removal machine called GentleLASE or one called a GentleYAG, that produces a powerful beam of light that heats up the hair follicles, destroying them while leaving the surrounding skin areas undamaged.

Because lasers can only destroy hair follicles while they are in the growth phase, multiple treatments over a few months are required to achieve the desired results. But whether you are removing facial or body hair, you can feel confident that you will undergo safe, effective treatments with long-​lasting results.

The overseeing doctor, Andy Macfarlan M. D, has been a practicing physician in the Charlottesville area for over 30 years. A Board Certified Family Physician, he is in private practice at Albemarle Square Family Healthcare, associated with Martha Jefferson Hospital in Charlottesville.

Carrie’s initial laser training was in 2004 and she is now a nationally Certified Laser Technician by the Allied Health Association. She has professionally and skillfully served laser clients for thousands of visits and five years at The Spa at ACAC. She has now opened her own independent business, Smooth Skin Laser, with high-​technology, expert practice, compassionate care and her own memorable brand of personal energy. She uses the most highly rated Alexandrite laser to achieve the best results in the shortest time with the greatest comfort. Whether you are female or male, she can permanently remove hair from any part of your body!
