Norm’s Transportation

I booked a 5 hour winery tour with Norm for my boyfriend’s birthday. I initially booked Norm for the price, he had all other businesses around him beat. I have to say, we would go back yearly because of Norm. He greeted us early, and happily waited while we had to deal with craziness and check out of our room only to check into another. He was an expert on the area and happily spoke with us the entire drive. Norm debated with me months beforehand on the type of wine trail we wanted to try, and emailed me back and forth about 10 times, which was so courteous; each response prompt, even late at night. It was such a pleasure riding around with him and learning about Charlottesville. I would recommend his service to anyone, and hope to return myself. We will be purchasing more tours for others as this would be an incredible gift for parents or family members to get away for the day. For reference we started at Keswick Vineyards, picked up lunch at Salt (Norm’s recommendation — so good we went back twice), headed to Blenheim Vineyards, and finished our wine tour at Trump Winery. We were staying at the Clifton Inn, but would recommend elsewhere for lodging. However, we would recommend Clifton’s restaurant 100 times over.

Norm was absolutely fantastic. He was extremely knowledgeable of the area and provided us with a very safe and fun experience to a few wineries. Would definitely use him again!

Booked these guys for a bachelor party (brewery/​wine tour) and they were awesome! Ben was our driver and was friendly without being intrusive. Request him if you can.
They are the least expensive service in the area that I found and very professional. I enjoyed that they confirmed times a day ahead & showed up early. The cancellation policy is a bit intense so don’t book them until you’re sure of the day; they’re flexible on times.

Norm was BEYOND amazing! We were a group of 4 couples who just wanted transportation for the day to a few wineries, and I am so glad we booked Norm! He was so responsive when I first e-​mailed him about pricing, and he was happy to speak with me on the phone about winery suggestions, timing, etc. The morning of our winery tours he was at our hotel 10 minutes early, and the van was AWESOME. It was a new and clean van with plenty of room for our group of 8, plus trunk space for the lunch we brought and the wine we purchased throughout the day. He was always outside waiting when we were ready to leave a winery, and at the last winery when we were worried about going over our time, we was completely fine with us adding on an extra hour. I seriously cannot say enough wonderful things about Norm and his company. I will be calling Norm’s Transportation for every Charlottesville trip from now on! He was very fun to talk to, knowledgeable on the areas we were going, and had great advice for everything we did. THANK YOU NORM FOR SUCH A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE!

Norm is outstanding. We have used him many times. He recently picked up two friends at Dulles coming from South America and the gate got changed at the last minute. He figured out the change, called me to confirm what was happening, and all went well. His cars are clean and he couldn’t be nicer. We have tried other services in Cville and none were as reliable as Norm.

I arranged for a winery tour with Norm’s transportation for me and three girlfriends in October. Norm was quick to return phone calls and his pricing structure was easy to understand. Ben was our driver. He picked us up right on time at Wintergreen resort. The car was clean and spacious. Ben was friendly, knowledgeable and very accommodating. I would highly recommend norms transportation for anyone visiting the area.

We had a wonderful experience with Norm’s Transportation. He picked us up from our hotel in Charlottesville, and took us to two vineyards. He assisted with our lunch order from a specialty deli down the road (called in the order for us as soon as he reached the hotel) and was flexible in our decision to only visit two vineyards (versus the three we originally scheduled). He goes above and beyond for his customers. When we were enjoying some wine outside at one of our stops, he brought us cheese and other snacks to eat while hanging out. SO nice! Norm has a special touch. He is professional but also laid back and friendly, not to mention fair in his prices (very affordable). We will definitely use his company in the future when exploring all that the Charlottesville area has to offer.

We had a great experience with Norms Transportation. He took us from Madison Va to Charlottesville Amtrak Station for vacation and took us back to Madison when we returned two weeks later he was early both times and very friendly and professional and very nice vehicle. Norm’s Taxi Service is always available and clean! You can book him in advance and he (or someone from his team) is there right on time. Also, if you’re at a loud bar or party, no need to step outside to call a cab — just text him! He is prompt in returning messages, too.
