The Kluge-Ruhe Collection is the only museum of Australian Aboriginal art in the United States, and the most significant collection outside of Australia. Admission is free and open to the public.
Our mission is to advance knowledge and understanding of Australia’s Indigenous people and their art and culture worldwide. Working with living artists, international scholars and arts professionals, we provide a wide range of learning experiences to the University community and the public through exhibition, research and educational programs.
The museum has two exhibitions on view at any given time; the first is an excerpt of works from the permament collection, and the second is an exhibition of contemporary Aboriginal art that is usually tied to an artist residency.
