We are passionate about our hand-​made products and know you will be too after one bite — or sip! We offer a variety of drinking chocolate, toffee, bark, dipped fruit, and truffles.

History

Established in 2015.

Cocoa & Spice is a family owned mobile business — that’s right, we bring the chocolate to you. You can find us at the Charlottesville Farmer’s Market, vending on the Downtown Mall, or at various events around town. We specialize in handcrafted chocolates, confections, and drinking chocolate. All of our products are handmade to order in small batches.

Meet the Business Owner

Jennifer M.

Business Owner

Jennifer is a graduate of the Ecole Chocolat Professional Chocolatier Program. Prior to her training as a Chocolatier, Jennifer attended Chestnut Hill College in Philadelphia, PA, earning a B.S. in Marketing and a M.S. in Instructional Technology. She has worked in the hospitality industry since she was 16 in a variety of capacities and embraces the value of customer service and creating a warm, welcoming environment for customers. Her experience includes managing an ice cream store in her home state of NJ, event catering at a country club in the Philadelphia area as well as locally in Charlottesville, and most recently serving as Assistant Manager/​Chocolatier at a local chocolate shop in Charlottesville for the past year.

Jennifer began Cocoa and Spice to share her love of chocolate with others. She likes to utilize local ingredients whenever possible, but is always on the look out for fun, unique ingredients when traveling
