Zen Nails and Spa

I thoroughly enjoyed my trip to Zen Nails. I am visiting family for the holidays, but I will certainly visit Zen Nails again if I need my nails done while in Charlotte. The facilities are lovely, they have a huge selection of nail polish (gel colors too), the prices are reasonable, and the staff members I spoke with were very polite and nice. I also appreciated that my gel manicure is guaranteed for a week (if I have any issues with chipping etc. they will fix it), and that I received a discount as a first time customer.

I’ve been here several times for both pedi and mani.
First and foremost, clean! Zen seems to understand Charlotte is chock full of salons and to stay in the game you’ve got to bring it!
Offering beverages, clean environment, walk in service, tons of choices and nice workers.
I would have given 5 stars except I agree w another Unilocaler about offering suggestions for pedis for us «athletic abused» feet. I wouldn’t consider it pressure sales (I’m sure someone would complain) but I would like to know the services for feet and what my feet personally would benefit.

First time at this salon. Biggest pro is its clean! I work in healthcare. Clean tools are very important. Biggest con– a little expensive, but I’ll pay for clean!!! I’m new to Charlotte & this is the second place I’ve tried. First one yuck! This place I’ll definitely try again!

This bad review is for the lady that did my manicure MINDY. Not only she did a horrible job in my nails she has a nasty attitude first and last time doing my nails at that place.

I have always had great service here! The ladies are very friendly. This place is my first choice for a pedi. Only downfall is the wait if you walk in, so I recommend making an appointment.

So this is my first time getting my nails done here in Charlotte. I really like this place. Mindy did an awesome job! Didn’t have a long wait.

I’ve been coming here for over 6 months and love it every time. They have a huge selection of colors to choose from, every one is always very friendly and it is always so CLEAN. I’ve recommended Zen Nails to multiple friends as well.

Just to revisit my prior review,
Pros of the salon — esthetics, cleanliness, and friendly staff. The cons — the service and price. Keep in mind it was my first visit but it made such an impression that I felt the need to adjust my previous comment.
Anyone that has been in this line of work should be able to determine who might need a little extra TLC on their tootsies. — I’m one of those customers :)
I run, so my feet need that extra love and you don’t have to be a rocket scientist to realize this. I will assume part of the responsibility for not asking about the different pedicures that they offer but I do think that a professional should have picked up on this. (I asked but I guess it was too late in the process because I was told «I could get the deluxe treatment next time.») Needless to say I am back at my old salon today (which I love). My feet were so horribly rough after the pedicure that I had to go just a week after my last pedicure.
So in closing, if you visit this establishment… make sure you ask about what they offer and I hope your mani/​pedi
turns out just perfect for you! :)

Shhh… Don’t tell! I’m cheating on my regular nail salon (Posh Nails) but only because I was traveling by this area and I received a very reliable referral. Otherwise, I would be hesitant to try a new salon. (Obviously, cleanliness is always a big concern). With that said, as far as I could tell, it was a clean salon and they take an extra step to line the pedi tub. I’ve never seen anyone do this so it makes me wonder if it was their decision to protect their customers or maybe possibly a request from an inspector because of the type of material that was used to construct the bowls. I would hope it’s the former.
When I initially walked in, there were quite a few employees at the front but I wasn’t sure if someone was ready to help me or not. It was a tad bit strange.
When you step into the back you immediately feel that they are a class act. It’s very visually pleasing and serene. They have a large tv but while I was there it was loop of goldfish swimming in a stream. I’m pretty sure they broadcast regular tv which I’m not really a fan of when I’m trying to zone out and relax.
To put a bow on this,
Nice place, clean & relaxing. They did a good job on my pedicure and the person who took care of me was attentive. Would I return? Yes. Would it be my first choice, Not so sure.
Here’s a tip–
When u walk in, ask them what type of pedicures they offer. I neglected to do this because I go to the same place all of the time. The regular pedicure at this salon is $ 30. I pay this where I go but it’s the deluxe «Nu skin» version, which I need. (I run and workout so my feet take a beating.) I need the ultra deluxe pedi! My feet aren’t nearly as pampered as they could have been with a deluxe pedicure. Not sure what that would have cost. Oh well! There are worse things in the world =)

I have heard such great things about this salon so I decided to finally try it out for myself. I waited about 15min until I was seated for my pedicure and the nail technician apologized and offered me $ 5 off. Off to a great start, right? Not long after my pedi started, the technician sliced open my foot and it started bleeding! Being a Type 1 diabetic, this is very problematic and exposes me to infection. I wanted to like this salon so much but after my experience, I will not come back!

So much better than the typical salon with the word «nail» in it. Very clean and pleasant smelling. The staff was courteous and respectful. I received the herbal pedicure and it was sensational; even better than the country club spas.

I started going to No. 1 Nail Spa in September, 2012, six months ago. It’s not close to my house and I probably drive past 50 nail salons on my way to this one but as long as I live in Charlotte, No. 1 Nails is the only nail salon I’ll use. It’s the cleanest, most professional, and the staff are the nicest of any salon I’ve ever used, and everyone’s work is good. I see Mai for my nails but have no particular person for my pedicures. I’m extremely persnickety and only want the best. No. 1 Nails IS the best.

I am very particular and found this place totally by accident, but now my daughter and I are frequent guests. They have a large variety of pedis… basic, upgraded, or herbal pedi. The staff is always friendly and remembers you. I take my 10 year old daughter with my and she LOVES one of the nail techs named Paul. He is wonderful with her and gives her the full service with lots of laughter and a great time included. Mai is wonderful if you have an ingrown toe nail. The entire staff has always been very polite and accomodating. They even give discounts for Mon-​Wed visits. It is definately the cleanest and most sanitary nail salon that I have visited. After one visit, my daughter and I became regulars. It is truly very hard for me to believe that anyone could have a negative experience. I highly recommend this salon.

We have been coming to No.1 for almost a year now and the service is EXCELLENT. They are very customer service oriented and take a lot of extra care to make sure their customers are well taken of. The person who wrote a bad review is absolutely crazy and obviously a troubled person. Why would you come back if you truly had a bad experience?
Try this place you’ll love it! I recommend it to all my friends.

Top notch! Recently moved to Charlotte, and have had my nails done in many major cities. None compared to the cleanliness, friendliness, and overall experience of this salon. If you’re looking to be pampered in a calming, relaxed atmosphere AND want the best french nail and pedicure, this is it.

Great nail salon with friendly service! Very clean and spa like on inside for optimal relaxation! Just got a spa pedi and mani for under $ 40!!! They have new client specials as well! Chloe was my tech and she was wonderful! I highly recommend this nail salon and will be a frequent customer from now on!
