Town & Country Ford

For my first experience buying/​financing a car – a brand new one, at that – I was SO pleasantly surprised with how transparent, welcoming and thorough the Town & Country folks are. My «experience manager», Dion, walked me through car-​buying (vs. car leasing) to help me understand what was best for me with respect to my budget and financial situation. Yes, it was a lengthy process, but it ended with me in a brand new Ford Focus for a price I could easily afford. I highly recommend Town & Country, and especially Dion!

Awful business. Do not try and buy a car from here. Not honest and after discussing details do a car over the phone, when I arrived to purchase my Ford Explorer they tried to change the terms. I left on principle alone. Terrible place and buyer beware

If I could give no stars, I would. We had been up there once and they were amazing. We went up there the second time and they had finally got the vehicle back from the shop. We test drove it but my fiancé too tall and it didn’t have power seats so we didn’t want it. The salesperson went ahead and wanted to do the paper on that vehicle. Even after we said no. Then we found two other vehicles we liked and wanted to get them transferred there. They said they were sold, we called the other sonic dealerships and they hadn’t. They lied to our faces. We will never buy anything from them again. Or ever look at anything that dealership has.

Had a great experience. They got me into a new lease and gave me more for my car then it was worth. They stayed two hours after closing to make it all happen. Richard was great.

We purchased a brand new 2015 F150 last Sept, our rep Rod was new and green but stayed on the ball thru the process. I negotiated hard, got a great deal, love the truck. Buying Process was primarily electronic till document redundancy on paper but overall was honest, and great buying experience.
On the downside, my brand new truck antenna was broken off by someone in the Pre-​delivery department. I didn’t realize it for months as we use Sat radio or Ipod music primarily. It had to be drilled out, and my truck got chipped by antenna area in process. That was kinda bummer !!! And no one asked to fix my paint on it.
Truck is a great great product, and we tested every new 2015 pickup out there furiously! 3.5 ecoboost with all the goodies, practically drives itself with adaptive cruise, lane departure, functionality, and awesome ride!

I’ve purchased 4 vehicles in Charlotte in 10 years. Sadly, all but one due to traffic accidents and fault of other drivers. .so lucky me there. I’ve purchased cars at Park Chevy, City Chevy and Town and Country Ford (2x).
My first two vehicles in the area were with the Chevy dealerships listed above and I have left both transactions very bothered/​angry/​etc. The last two vehicles I have purchased has been with Town and Country have been great experiences.
Suat helped me purchase a new vehicle in 2012. He was a fantastic salesman and really did a wonderful job helping me with the right truck, working through financing, helping with the insurance issues from a totaled car and more. I felt very lucky and relieved that a stressful situation could be that smooth.
Just a couple weeks ago my truck was totaled in an accident. I called Suat immediately and happy to see he was promoted to management. He absolutely deserves it. His focus on the client is incredible. Worley was there to help as well with this new vehicle. I felt appreciated, was treated to great service, and ended up with the vehicle I wanted and it was all SUPER easy.
At the end of the day; I also forgot to grab my garage clicker from my rental (which they returned for me) and Suat had one of his guys (thanks Jordan!!) deliver it to me in Huntersville saving me a long drive.
Top notch service, great sales team, and a wonderful experience. Irrespective of brand loyalty (Chevy/​Ford); this is one heck of a team to work with. Management truly values your business before the sale and they have kept it up after the sale!

Update from 1÷19÷2016 Review:
Made a service appointment and brought in the Flex on 2÷15÷2016 to install the 2^nd row console as well as take care of the other fixes that needed to be done from the factory build (left windshield washer didn’t work, replace missing bolt from 2^nd row seat, etc.)
I was initially told at the time when we took delivery of the vehicle that when the console comes in, it would be a quick install. Well… I got the vehicle back the end of day on Tuesday as it took TWO full days for the repair. Although I appreciated the service rep offering to come up and get a loaner vehicle at the end of the first day, it would have been more of a hassle with a 3 year old.
When I picked up the vehicle, I checked to make sure that all of the repairs were done. When I went to look at the 2^nd row console that was installed, I noticed that it was THE WRONG COLOR!!! They installed a black leather console in a car with beige leather interior. When I asked the service rep about it, he told me «that is what Ford sent us and the order was placed using your VIN number». OBVIOUSLY it was not the correct part for our vehicle yet no one even questioned the different color prior to installation. I was truly surprised that they were not familiar with their own Ford vehicle.
So… we will YET AGAIN have to bring the car in to have the 2^nd row console installed/​replaced (which should have been installed at the factory in the first place when built) whenever they receive the part from Ford. I am waiting to hear from the service rep who is still in process of reaching out to Ford.
Truly disappointed.

We had a great experience here at Town and Country Ford. There was no pressure to buy, they let us leave and think about our decision, without the threat of losing the car we were interested in. The sales person was very helpful– when he did not know the answer to our questions he went and got someone who did. Several sales personal gave us helpful advice when we were trying to figure out what features we needed and why– they did not try to force us into the most expensive car. We had been to two other dealerships before coming here and the professionalism and respect was far above anywhere else. I would definitely buy from here again.

I was very please with my salesman but there was a young lady that really upset me with trying to force me to get Gap insurance after I told hear several times not to put that in my contract. I have never dealt with someone so irritating. This a follow up on this review I had the truck for 1 ½ month and a high speed I notice a very bad shaking to the van and to have it look at and it was not the tired but the suspension I will never purchase another vehicle from Town and country ford the worst please ever!!!

All Town and Country Ford seems to care about is running up your bill. No matter what you bring your car in for you can count on a call from them telling you that they did a «free inspection» on your car and found that you need something else.

I bought a car in late December 2015 and wow things have changed a lot since I bought my last car in 2004. My Experience Leader was Carl R. He was very personable and friendly. I arrived for my appointment at 7pm and was walking out a little after 9:00pm with the keys to a new to me car. One thing that I really liked was that my keys for my trade were on the table the whole time during negotiations. I would totally recommend Carl to my friends and family. Also I was pleased with my interest rate and the price.

Took my wifes car in for warranty work. Had an axle seal leak on the driver side. Service writer Mike at the time was dealing with the repairs. Axle seal was replaced. Not even a day later the seal is leaking again. Advised service of mess in the drive way. They did not offer to clean my garage. Brought vehicle back and was told the entire PTU needed to be changed. I then asked the advisor what the PTU was and he stumbled in his response. I really dont feel confident in repairs if the advisor does not know his material. Will not return for service.

I bought a car here in January, which I was absolutely in love with. Within 9 months, I started having transmission problems. I hadn’t even made it too 100,000 miles yet! I had it serviced twice. When I took it in for service, I was treated well, but was brushed off when I expressed my concern for when I hit the 100,000 miles and would no longer be covered under warranty. This lack of understanding in my concern was very bothersome.

I’ve been getting my SUV serviced by them since I moved here 3.5 yrs ago. Never had any problems. Just good service and good customer service. I was just there this Saturday morning. In and out. Bravo Zulu!

Probably the best customer service I have received regarding cars. The sales person took care of all my paperwork, took my rental and returned it for me, drove with me to the gas station to fill the rental car up so I can take off from there with my new car. Got me approved, helped me to set up my car insurance, will register my new used car for me (getting the license plates), got me a good deal, sold me a nice car with a recent inspection… what more do you need? I hope I will not have to buy another car soon, but if I should. my first stop will be there. Thank you!

***short version make sure you receive grade A customer service and not just because you are going to buy a vehicle but because your opinion matters and you are a potential way to gain free marketing.
Since the star rating is required one is more than enough possibly for the nice décor but not for the customer service. While I will not provide details of my entire experience I can say that it was awful. The professionalism is non-​existent why else would I know that the salesmen there are salaried workers nor am I from Charlotte to know anyone that works there. Highly disappointed in the fact that the vehicle I wanted was in stock, but they were unwilling to provide great customer service. It was the way one specific salesmen spoke to me that was shocking along with the fact that I had an appointment (that I was late for) but it didn’t matter that I called to inform them of my late arrival because there was no such appointment ever made. While I could go on and on I will stop.

Great experience buying new Ford. Salesmen were patient, thorough & not pushy. Let you make the decision but also offered thoughtful feedback. Salesmen are paid salary so it’s not a Dog eat Dog boiler room you normally enter. Showroom is nice, bathrooms clean & service exceptional. Highly recommended.

Before getting out of the car, my husband and I had a game plan: show them the car I had found online, ask to see only THAT car, and don’t let them push us into staying. I walked in with the exact car I wanted pulled up on my phone and asked to see it. Cody S did just that! After a quick test drive, he was happy to answer questions. When we said we were going to lunch, he actually allowed us to leave (unlike most dealerships were they grab your arm and won’t let go)! After a quick lunch with much decision, we went back to buy! Again there was no pressure! Cody walked us through the whole process. By the end of the afternoon, I was driving home in my dream car! Cody took the time to show me all of the perks of my car! I’m so happy we stopped in just to look! Thank you!

Its a dealership. They are salespeople. Some are good and personable, some you wouldnt trust with your ugliest sister.

Our initial visit was very informative, we didn’t have an appointment but was greeted right away by Sales guide Chris Williams. Chris let us test drive a SUV, he asked when would be a good time to contact us for follow up and wasn’t like your normal car sales agent asking immediately how much you wanted to put down. I will advise anyone going here to not get frustrusted if the sales agent doesn’t follow up immediately, town and country have went through extensive changes with new ownership and are working out the kinks in their new systems and plans. I love that the prices are right on when it comes to value of the car you are looking for and if you are looking for quality then this is the place.
I personally would ask for Chris Williams, he will work with to get you what you desire, not what they feel you would like.
We purchased our new SUV Saturday and had a personable, inviting, and informative experience.
