Birthed out of a vision to give hope to our Brother Jason Francis (at the time getting his masters in Acting and Directing) when he was diagnosed with Stage 4 Cancer, The Acting Project is the best possible opportunity to learn all it is to know about acting on camera. We create content at every session and give you homework that grows your brand as an actor while also preparing you with all the tools needed to become all that you ever wanted to be as an actor, an entertainer, and an individual who stands out.

Meet the Business Owner

Matt F.

Business Owner

Matt Francis is an award-​winning director, producer, and performer. He has been recognized for creative excellence in both stage and film. With over 25 years of experience, he strives to help actors navigate the business of acting and sharpen their audition techniques.

A native North Carolinian, Matt grew up in Sanford, NC. After graduating with a Theatre degree from Catawba College, he toured the country with a theatre company. He later accepted a position in Southern Pines, NC, heading up the theatre program of over 160 students, at Pinecrest High School where he brought his students to North Carolina Theater Conference competitions. They won awards for their work and he won the award for «Best Director in North Carolina.»

Matt has a vision to educate actors and production individuals and help them to build their personal brand. He also desires to help performing arts individuals and organizations connect through special events and educational workshops!
