Strayer University – South Charlotte Campus

I am re-​starting courses this fall at Strayer towards my MBA. I considered University of Phoenix graduate program and it was a lot more confusing to even just register taking the online courses towards my MBA. They also required you to attend several unnecessary workshops. At Strayer, the online learning system is user friendly and there are several resources available to help you succeed.

I was thinking about going to a more adult-​friendly school rather than returning to Winthrop. I contacted Strayer through their website and received an email form an admissions counselor there. I called and spoke to him and subsequently set up an appointment, which I had to cancel. After that, they called me every day, usually during working hours, and would ask me to call and speak to them. If this «university» is so technologically advanced, why do I need to talk to someone on the phone? They also did not get the hint, so after they called me more than a sales person, con artist, and bill collector combined, I had to email them and tell them to stop. Apparently they have a list just like any of those places, so even if you are interested in attending classes there, don’t give them your real phone number.
Make sure you also read all of the reviews on Strayer. About 90% are negative and half of the positive ones were written by someone affiliated with them (see filtered review). I cannot recommend Strayer because of my experience with them.
