South End Plumbing

I’ve used SEP a few times. Always courteous & professional. Did the work requested (each time) without hassle. Though I could do some of the work myself, they are my go-​to plumber. I’ll continue using south end plumbing as long as we live in east Charlotte.

We have had a great experience with South End Plumbing. We have had a lot of new work and renovation work done. They have done a great job with all of our work and have been available when necessary. I would definitely recommend them for any plumbing work as they are great to work with and have great customer service!

Hired these guys from a recommendation.
First thought after initial meeting was that it would be a contractor dream come true; they were very warm and seemed upbeat about what they do.
Then came the journey of getting a bathtub installed over a three month process. We as the customers were expected to purchase tile… which we knew; however never were told the other materials we were expected to purchase for the job including grout; a specialty tile (3 trips to Lowes later), drywall, etc. and that we would be organizing everything through the secretary and 3^rd party contractors.
I had to allow 3 different sets of strangers enter my home and sometimes even allow them to work in my home when I wasn’t available or nearby. When I requested a phone call from the guy who sold me the project; I was given his secretary who attempted to make me (the customer) feel as if it wasn’t going to get any better.
We ended the job just recently, and while I am incredibly excited that it is finished, I can’t help but wonder who in the world would set up a business where the customer is expected to know as much as the contractor.

I had to give these guys more than one star because they work on weekends and came out to my place during the weekend without charging an emergency rate.
However, they required close supervision and once the pipes were dismantled and the nature of the problem was totally clear to me (I’ve got just a little bit of experience with plumbing), they didn’t recognize it and were about to do much more invasive and expensive work than was necessary. And they kept asking how much my homeowners insurance rep said they would cover… Never a good sign.
Anyway, the job got done, but I didn’t feel great about the whole experience afterward.

These guys did some BIG work for us and I can’t brag enough about them.
These guys were excellent!
We were referred to them by a neighbor, whose mother had extensive plumbing and repair work done by them and had great results. We received the same treatment.
First of all, we had our main water line that runs to the city water burst in our yard. We found out this was something that others in our neighborhood and elsewhere in Mint Hill have had to deal with at one time or another since water usage was changed from one source to another, currently Charlotte’s city water. Anyhow, we discovered we paid half the price as a neighbor once did a couple years ago for the exact same job (but probably us having the better customer service, which seems to be priority number one for this team.)
Then, we discovered our dishwasher had been leaking and ruined our kitchen floors, cabinetry, baseboards, and some wainscoting. As anyone knows, from working with insurance companies, you get the minimum amount from them for reparations. Well, these guys were able to work with this amount, plus a minimal amount from our pockets, to renovate our kitchen to a whole other level. All in all, we had major work done for little, done professionally and beautifully. For example, we once had a tacky linoleaum floor, to which was replaced with matching laminate flooring, new cabinets and hardware, new countertops where layered countertops had been thrown down in a shotty way, new wainscoting on the walls, new baseboards and trim, and paint. In addition, they were able to replace our stainless steel dishwasher with a new one, tear down an ugly wall partition from our dining room to living room, and put in a new stainless steel sink, replacing the old iron one.
These guys are efficient, professional, and definitely put customer service first. They do high quality work and make sure they are thorough from beginning to end. They not only take care of the plumbing end, but also do carpentry work and home renovation. You only have to call them to take care of it all and they do a superb job on both ends. We highly recommend!
